The location is excellent, right next to the MTR station. The front desk staff, a young man, was very helpful and assigned us a great room. The room size was decent, and the bedding felt clean and dry. The shower pressure was incredibly strong (something I haven't experienced in other Hong Kong hotels), like a waterfall, which was fantastic. Overall, it's very good and definitely worth returning to.

Booked the Empire Hotel Hong Kong · Wan Chai during the 9.19 sale.
First off, getting to the hotel from the airport on the A11 bus was super convenient, a direct ride.
The front desk didn't proactively tell me the specific times for breakfast and afternoon tea, only the floor where they were located.
I'm guessing the hotel is a bit older, as the room facilities felt a little dated. There wasn't a charging port by the bed, and there was a vent in the room that couldn't be turned off, constantly making noise.
However, the breakfast and afternoon tea offerings were plentiful and refilled very promptly.

Booked a quad room with twin beds for just under 800 RMB. The room was clean with no strange smells, and the bedding was spotless. Despite being on a high floor, the shower pressure was great. They don't provide water at the hotel, so you have to cross the pedestrian bridge to the supermarket opposite to buy some. There's a shuttle bus service, but we didn't use it. We traveled to and from Kwai Hing Station. The freshly made shrimp wontons at Yuen Kee Wonton Noodle across from Kwai Hing MTR Station were really delicious!

The ultimate value-for-money king in Hong Kong! Harbour Plaza Metropolis exceeded all my expectations.
Choosing the right hotel is crucial when visiting Hong Kong, and the Harbour Plaza Metropolis absolutely blew me away! Its location is prime – directly opposite Hung Hom MTR Station, just a 5-minute walk away, making travel to and from mainland China incredibly convenient. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui, getting you to the shopping district in just 5 minutes. Being next to the Hong Hom Coliseum is fantastic for concerts, and the International Plaza shopping mall downstairs means shopping and dining are literally at your doorstep.
My sea-view room was absolutely stunning. Opening the curtains revealed panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars. The room itself was spacious and spotless, with elegant and cozy European-inspired decor. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was generously sized. The facilities were top-notch: fast, reliable internet, complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities, and an electronic safe. They even offered a free shoe-shine service – attention to detail was exceptional.
The biggest surprise was the 25-meter outdoor heated swimming pool, where I could swim while admiring the Victoria Harbour views. The fitness center and spa were also excellent for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was fresh and diverse, offering a full spread of both Chinese and Western dishes. The staff were warm, efficient, and spoke excellent Chinese, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Whether for business or family travel, this is a top choice in Hong Kong. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I recently stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Hong Kong and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are larger than typical accommodations in the city, providing a comfortable space to relax. Additionally, the pricing is reasonable for the quality and amenities offered, making it great value for money. The hotel is conveniently located near Moko Mall and just a short walk from the MTR station, which makes it perfect for shopping and exploring the city. Overall, I highly recommend the Royal Plaza Hotel for its spaciousness, value, and excellent location, and I look forward to returning in the future!

This was the 3rd stay in the last 2 months. First I made a mistake and double booked our rooms. The hotel was very fast to cancel one of my bookings without any charges. On arrival, Vanessa at the front desk was very nice and helped arrange adjoining rooms for my wife and I and adjoining room for my 2 boys.
Aside from easy access to the MTR and lots of restaurants all around the hotel offers a spectacular view of the Victoria Harbor from their VIP Lounge on the top floor.
For hotels with similar prices in the area I highly recommend the Empire.

The room was spacious, new, and very modern. The service was highly professional, especially the cleaning staff who could cure anyone's OCD! The location is excellent, just a short walk from Zijing Cultural Square and the Convention and Exhibition Center. Public transport is convenient, and it's super easy to find places to eat and shop. There's a mall downstairs and Xiamen Street right across the road, surrounded by all sorts of restaurants, from various price points to different cuisines, both Chinese and Western. It's perfect not only for business trips but also great for family vacations!

Good price-per qualty option for staying in Kowloon, as you turn out to be close to the bustling heart of eating, shopping and leisure of the peninsula, - with nice park on one side, giant Harbour city center on the other and pier nearby.
Hotel is not very new but well-maintained, you might need luck only in respect of the room view, as it is sometimes depressive to be overlooked by the high wall of the opposite building just a couple of dozen metres away, knowing that the harbour and space and air are just around the corner

Hotels in Hong Kong are always very expensive in October due to the exhibition season, so every year I come to Hong Kong this month, I stay in Tsuen Wan for maximum cost-effectiveness. The Dorsett brand is quite good; I've stayed at two other locations, and they were all clean and tidy, with friendly staff. I'll definitely be back around this time next year.

Facilities: A rare smart hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, with electric curtains, smart toilets, a large TV, and USB ports by the bed, all very convenient. The room size is decent for Hong Kong.
Cleanliness: The room is very clean, and the linens are fine.
Environment: Downstairs, there are all kinds of restaurants and shops. It's very convenient for shopping, dining, and going to Victoria Harbour or Mong Kok.
Service: The front desk staff were polite and friendly, kindly informing me that drinking water is not provided in the room and needs to be brought by guests.
Overall, a good stay. The hardware facilities are on par with a domestic Ji Hotel (excluding room size and laundry facilities). Recommended.

XXiaobaoBeyond its good location and affordability, there's not much else to praise. The Tin Hau MTR station is closer, but the exit towards the hotel doesn't have an elevator, so it's a struggle with large luggage if you have to use the stairs. There's a McDonald's, Fairwood, and tea restaurants nearby, so breakfast outside the hotel is perfectly fine. The rooms are very old, even the executive rooms on higher floors. I only chose it for the price and convenience, so I'm not really complaining about the conditions. You can walk to Don Don Donki in about 10 minutes. Taking the tram (ding ding) is generally cheap and convenient for getting around.
AAnonymous UserIt's really clean, and the location is easy to find. The soundproofing is good, and the room was cleaned daily. The cleaning staff even folded my pajamas, which was very thoughtful. The only minor downsides were that the sink was a bit low and the faucet didn't swivel, so splashing water while washing my face was unavoidable. Other than that, everything else was great. The rooms all come with a safe and a mini-fridge.

GGuest UserThe room was optimally sized , providing a comfortable balance of space and functionality. A larger smart TV was highlight, offering excellent entertainment options like you tube .
The air conditioning performed very well, maintaining a consistently pleasant temperature throughout the stay. A mini fridge was available, though its capacity was limited to a few cans of beverages, which may not be sufficient for guests requiring more storage.Overall , the room was well-equipped and provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
MM270774****This is a legitimate hotel with beautiful surroundings. The rooms have windows, and honestly, everything else is great except for the lack of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The price is comparable to a 7 Days Inn on the mainland, which makes it excellent value for money in Hong Kong.
My advice to everyone: bring your own food; bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as the hotel doesn't provide them for free; the hotel's check-in time is 2 PM, so if your room isn't ready before then, you'll have to wait – don't lose your temper; and some corners of the hotel could be a bit cleaner.
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points.
If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel.
When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.
GGuest UserA charming guesthouse with a Hong Kong flair, it offered a lovely view, and I particularly enjoyed the small balcony. However, getting to and from the room was quite inconvenient. The elevator is located on the far side of the building, and even then, it only reaches the 7th floor, requiring guests to descend 4 flights of stairs to get to the accommodation. I opted for the staircase near the entrance instead, which still meant climbing 3 flights. Fortunately, I only had a backpack; I strongly advise anyone with heavy or multiple pieces of luggage to choose carefully. The space itself was adequate for a single person, but the wash basin was truly a nightmare. Squeezed between two load-bearing pillars, it was probably only 30cm wide, forcing you to turn sideways just to wash your hands. Washing your face was a real struggle. To make matters worse, if the tap was turned on too high, the floor drain couldn't cope and would leak water onto the floor. I'm stopping my complaints here!
GGuest UserStaff are all friendly! They allowed us for early check-in! Smooth & fast! Everyday change towels, big bed & room spacious enough for all of us 4 for the family room! Clean water & high pressure hot & cold! Highly recommended! 😇
GGuest UserExcellent location, right next to Yau Ma Tei MTR station, and easily accessible by airport bus A21/A22. Check-in is on the 2nd floor, and they offer luggage storage. There's also a shared kitchen on the 2nd floor, complete with a fridge and microwave. Due to Hong Kong's plastic reduction policy, you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, slippers, and towel, or you can purchase them at the front desk. The room looks exactly like the pictures. They provide a key card that doubles as an elevator and room key, so security feels quite high. In the quad room, there's an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower area. While small, it's perfectly functional. Downstairs, there are many fantastic snack shops, all serving delicious food! Transportation is very convenient, and the beds are quite comfortable and clean. There's a slight creaking sound when turning over, but it's acceptable. Roommates are a bit of a lottery; this time, I ended up with night owls who came back late, showered, and organized their belongings, which really disturbed my sleep. However, that's just the nature of shared accommodation. Despite that, I'm still quite satisfied with the room itself. Nearby, the Tin Hau Temple and Yau Ma Tei Police Station are great spots to check out, both within walking distance. And definitely try Chan Kee Roasted Goose – it's absolutely delicious!

TtriishlouiseVery nice hotel. The only issue we had was that when we first arrived, the receptionist took quite a long time to process our check-in. They could definitely improve their service in that area.
We also got a room upgrade for a lower price (plus taxes), which was great. We enjoyed our stay even though it was short (from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) since we had to transfer to another hotel afterward.
