We had a very warm and beautiful stay at Baithe Wharf, which was far beyond our expectations, with incredibly welcoming hosts who explained everything about the town in detail, greeted us with a thoughtful plate of little oranges, provided amazing rooms equipped with luxury features including advanced toilets and a breathtaking waterfall view, arranged a delicious vegetarian breakfast for us the next day, and even organized seamless transport to and from the station, making the entire experience truly memorable and highly recommendable.

Very friendly and warm staff throughout our stay. We were served by Mr Yang, who was patient and extremely accommodating. He carefully checked our requests on the booking platform and made sure everything was arranged just as we wanted. Breakfast had a good variety, and the staff there were attentive and kind, making the experience even more pleasant. Upon check-out, Ms Jessie thoughtfully offered me some local tea as a souvenir, which was a lovely gesture. She also provided useful information about the surrounding area and the national park, along with maps to help us plan. Mr Chen, a very courteous gentleman, assisted us during check-out smoothly. I’d also like to mention a kind lady at breakfast (Ms L—unfortunately I didn’t catch her full name) who was very helpful. Overall, the location is excellent, and they provide free luggage storage. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from all the staff.

If you are planning a trip to Tianmen Mountains, this hotel is in the perfect location! The property was spotlessly clean, and the room was lovely. The receptionist was incredibly accommodating—they helped me check in early and even carried my bag to my room. The neighborhood really comes alive at night with plenty of great food options right nearby. I would absolutely stay here again!

The location is excellent being at the scenic spot itself. That's a shop selling noodles buns and snacks right beside the hotel. I stayed on the 5th floor and the view was excellent. The only thing is there is no elevator and I have to climb up the flights upstairs. So it is not recommended for those who have problems climbing. You can ask to stay at level one though when you book and the owner will accommodate. They also helped to carry my luggage up and down the flight of stairs. The room is very comfortable and there's a projector where we can watch movies. There will be no more noise from the pub after 11:30 pm. There's air conditioning and heating in the room. One thing to note transport is very difficult to get from the train station to the hotel. So bad to arrange pick up and send off with the hotel beforehand. Difficulty to get transport is a norm in Phoenix ancient town.

I arrived late at night during the holidays, and the staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They provided excellent service and assisted us with our luggage right away. The hotel’s location is also fantastic and very convenient. Unfortunately, because we arrived so late, the only room available had a very strong smell of mold, and the air felt quite stale and not fresh. It was a disappointment given how great the service was. I highly recommend other travelers check in as early as possible to secure a better room.

We recommend! It was a bit difficult to find the hotel at first because the reception is on the 17th floor. They had 4 free rooms when we were checking in so they gave us to choose the room! All of them had nice view and were pretty spacious. They gave us a free upgrade to the river-view room from a city-view one. The location is ok. There was a cute little cat at the reception.

It was my first time in Zhangjiajie and stayed here 1 night! The price was so good for the location but unfortunately Tianmen Mountain cable car line B was closed due to weather so I had to go to line C via shuttle bus. I guess when its good weather location is very good. Unfortunately there was construction going on at front so it was little noisy and dusty but when we checked in it was super tidy. Also it was super cold & heather wasn’t working but staff provided extra blanket if asked. Would stay here again and recommend to others👍

We had a fantastic time in Zhangjiajie and a big part of our experience was thanks to the hospitality of the staff at the Four Seasons Lai Riverside Resort Hotel. Even before checking in, the staff reached out and made sure we were okay getting to the hotel. Check-in was easy, our staff asked us about our plans and provided maps and directions for the activities we had booked. Hotel itself is very modern and clean. Would definitely recommend and would come back again. Location is approximately 10 minutes from the east gate of the National Forest Park and the hotel provides free taxi ride to the park

Great hotel very close to Tianmen Mountain. The room was super clean and had plenty of amenities. They even upgraded my room, which was a nice surprise. They also offer free transport to Tianmen Mountain and a free airport pickup service, which made everything much easier. Highly recommended!

We are seasoned travellers. Having travelled to many parts of the world. We have both been to Chima before but mainly for work. I, had visited China on a vacation many, many years ago as a young man. So, this visit felt like we were visiting Chima for the very first time! Our plan was to visit the Zhangjiajie Forest National Par, 72 Wondertown and Tianmen Mountain. Wyndham Garden Hotel Tianmen Mountain hotel was first class. The staff were very helpful and always on hand to help. Though we did not encounter a fluent English speaking staff member, the use of Google Translate was more than enough to get by. Plus good old sign language! Breakfast: Is a buffet and is excellent! Lots to choose from but mainly catered towards an Asian cuisine. Location: Is excellent if visiting Tianmen Mountain. It is within walking distance (15-20min) to the Cable Car Chairlift up the mountain. 72 Wondertown is only a 15min Didi ride away. Zhangjiajie Forest National Park (Avatar Mountains) is approximately 40 to 50min car ride. So, one needs to plan for this. Which means an early start every day and can be tiring. Hotel Room: Is clean and tidy. We asked for non-smoking rooms and hot these. Rooms with a view of Tianmen Mountain were good but noisy. Particularly, if you have the window open during the night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay with Zhangjiajie Garden Tianmen Mountain hotel and we will definitely be back!
