"Location: About 1.5km walk from the nearest train station exit, which may be challenging with luggage. Fine for backpackers. The hotel is centrally located near Dotonbori, close to the night market and not far from the Glico sign.
Cleanliness: Very clean. No issues. Water heater works well, especially during winter.
Service: Staff are helpful and can speak both English and Japanese.
Facilities: Decent and suitable for solo travellers. Quiet at night with minimal noise. Water dispenser and laundry are available.
Overall: Slightly far from the train station but well located for exploring Dotonbori, night markets, and nearby malls. Rooms are a bit small, so for two people, a larger room is recommended."

"Very central location, you can get to any of the main areas in at most 3 stops on the metro! (10-15 mins)
The rooms were nice, but a bit cramped. The bathroom was the best part, as it boasted a luxurious shower and bath in the ‘wet’ part of the room. Perfect relaxation time after a long day of shopping, sightseeing, and walking.
Also, loved that there was a 7-11 just under the building, super convenient for breakfast and late-night snacks!
The service was really good, all the staff were helpful.
On each floor, they also have a self-service laundry machine and ice machine.
Absolutely recommend this hotel when visiting Osaka, especially since we got the room on a great discount."

"Was a shirt walk from airport limousine bus stop. A key reason to choose this. And i got a room with two single beds. Honestly genrous by japanese standards. "It was an easy walk from ShinImamiya station ( that has direct line to/ fro Kansai airport ) to the hotel, I was greeted with friendly hotel staffs. Check in was seamless and fuss free . Room was clean , reasonable size and it was comfy in term of bed size and lovely pillows , with very cute PJ , fitted with bath tub, plenty of food option , with a Mega Donki, Sugi pharmacy for late night shopping.
Being in Shinsekai mean lot of food options, and nearby subway / JR lines made easy and seamless travel to many places.
Love the place and will definitely stay there again :)"

"20 minutes by feet (5 by subway) to Umeda station and 10 minutes by subway to downtown Dotonbori.
Amazing location, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants are all nearby, but at the same time it's a clean and fancy neighborhood close to some parks and great alleys. There is a riverside alley right next to the hotel.
I walked to most sights by feet and only had to use subway once since all the main sights are within 30 min walk.
The room was barely big for my luggage though."

"We stayed at this hotel for one night and got a great deal, probably because it was the off-season. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the staff was incredibly polite and helpful. We had an amazing overall experience during our stay. My child absolutely loved the rooftop area and enjoyed a lot (I’ve attached a photo of it!). The view from the hotel was also beautiful. They have a coin laundry machine as well so it was easier to wash clothes when I needed it. All additional things that you need such as toiletries are also readily available at the lobby area. And the best part was the free breakfast!

FFabairimengdexiaolongIf you're going to Universal Studios Japan, you HAVE to stay here! You can't get any closer to the park. I took the Shinki Bus directly from Sannomiya, Kobe, to the park entrance, and then it was just a short walk to the hotel. You can drop off your luggage first; they have a dedicated luggage storage room. The front desk will give you a card to access it and can even exchange coins for you to use in the lockers. The coins are returned after you retrieve your luggage. The room facilities are complete and comfortable, and the room itself is super spacious! The bathroom and toilet are even separate, which is very convenient! Even though I only stayed one night, I already fell in love with this hotel. Breakfast was also incredibly satisfying, with a huge variety of options, and you can even look out at the park from the window – it was truly delightful.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right in front of Dotonbori Street, but it's not a noisy area. There are convenience stores like Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk (1km) from Namba Station, which is manageable when coming from the airport. The bathroom was clean. Free breakfast includes bread, drinks, and coffee. The coffee was absolutely delicious! Amenities are self-service on the first floor. You need to request new towels daily. Room cleaning is done once every three nights. The room itself is small, but having experienced even smaller rooms before, this size was acceptable.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, just a short walk from Rinku-Town Station, and there's a free shuttle bus to and from the airport, making it super convenient for early morning flights.
I booked a high-floor twin room with a bay view, and you can see the ocean. The room has a modern, minimalist design with complete facilities. There's a convenience store downstairs, and Rinku Premium Outlets is just a few minutes' walk away, making it a paradise for shoppers. It's generally quiet and comfortable, perfect for a rest after landing or for a stopover before heading home. Great value for money.
I was also lucky enough to catch a fireworks display over the ocean on the night I checked in. It would have been even better if the front desk had mentioned it during check-in.

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the heart of the Dotonbori shopping district. Don Quijote, Ichiran Ramen, Bic Camera, and the Glico Running Man sign are all just a few minutes' walk away. Shinsaibashi is also just around the corner. It's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. There's a microwave available on the first floor of the hotel. Having visited Japan a few times, I'm used to small hotel rooms now. We booked a triple room for three adults and one child, and it was perfectly fine. Despite being in a bustling area, it was surprisingly quiet at night.

IIAN OBOLENSKIII really liked the ventilation in the capsule. It was cold in the hallway where the capsules are at night because the air conditioning was on. There were no odors, so the capsule itself felt fresh too. I'm not sure how the ventilation is set up, but I was pleased with it. The common area on, I think, the 10th floor was usually empty, so I could sit and eat alone, which I also liked.
After this, I stayed at a couple more capsule hostels in Japan, and this one was the best in terms of the capsule design and living area.
My only complaints were with the kitchen and cooking facilities. But for sleeping, it's an excellent option. The showers and toilets were great too.

Although breakfast was Japanese style, there were many options, and I thought it was even better than the breakfast at the hotel in Kyobashi.

I had a wonderful stay at Cafe & Hostel Kimi to Ichigo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They made the check-in process smooth and were always available whenever I had questions throughout my stay.
The hostel offers check-in from 3:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM. One feature I especially appreciated was that guests are still welcome to use the spacious common area until 8:00 PM after check-out. This is incredibly convenient if you have a late departure, need a place to rest after shopping, or simply want to relax before heading to the airport or station.
The facility itself is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. One of my favorite features was the large common area, which provided a comfortable space to relax, work, eat, or socialize with other guests. The common area also offers complimentary hot and cold water, as well as tea, which was a thoughtful touch and a nice way to unwind after a day of exploring the city.
The bathrooms and toilets were spotless throughout my stay. The shower rooms were equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the sinks and vanity area were spacious, making it easy to get ready without feeling crowded.
I stayed in the all-female dormitory, which felt very safe and secure since it remained locked at all times. The bunk beds were surprisingly spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room for a good night’s sleep.
The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable throughout the hostel, making it easy to stay connected.
For those looking for an affordable breakfast option, the hostel offers breakfast for around ¥500, which is both practical and reasonably priced.
The hostel also provides convenient luggage storage services. Guests can leave their luggage before check-in and after check-out, making it easy to continue exploring the city without carrying heavy bags around.
Long-term travelers will appreciate the laundry facilities. A washing machine is available for ¥200 per cycle (30 minutes), and detergent can be purchased for ¥50 per packet. I personally recommend using two packets of detergent if you have a larger load and want your clothes to smell fresher. A dryer is available for ¥100 per 30 minutes, but if you’re washing several days’ worth of clothes like I did during my four-night stay, I would suggest allowing around two hours of drying time.
One thing future guests should note is that towels are not provided free of charge, so it’s a good idea to bring your own. However, towels can be rented at the hostel for ¥200 if needed.
The location is another major advantage. The hostel is only about a 7-minute walk from Namba Station and other nearby train stations. Dotonbori, countless shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and entertainment spots are all within easy walking distance, making it an excellent base for exploring Osaka.
Overall, Cafe & Hostel Kimi to Ichigo offers excellent value for money, outstanding cleanliness, great facilities, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re a solo traveler or visiting with friends, it’s a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place to stay. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Osaka.

XXige1993Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel's location is super convenient, and the room was spacious, bright, and very clean. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby all night. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The facilities are excellent, offering great value for money, and I truly felt at home.
