This is so far the best experience I had in Japan, the bell boy was waiting for us in front of the hotel. We were specifically arrange a private room for our dinner and breakfast, unfortunately due to fogging we were unable to see Mt. Fuji during breakfast. The in-room onsen was really fantastic with Mt. Fuji view.

The hotel is wonderful! Very modern, but our room was pretty small. Very clean, good location. Only that the hotel receptionist was rather unfriendly, giving canned responses when requests are being made. Not helpful, but I think it's just her personality type. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience! Good choice!

This is my first time in the Mount Fuji area. I booked the hotels pretty late so the price went up a little. But it was totally worth it. The hotel gave us free admission tickets to Fuji Q while we’re waiting for our rooms to be ready the day when we checked in. Fuji Q was huge- even if you’re not a rider you can still enjoy the fun atmosphere or just eat there. The weather wasn’t great but I think the park and the hotel made the trip still enjoyable. The room was very spacious and clean. If the weather was better, we should be able to see Mount fuji right from our window, and we actually did in one of the mornings there at 6AM! There’s an onsen at the hotel too. A great one. I love it. I will still want to return to this hotel if I ever want to go to Mount fuji or the lakes again. There’s a free shuttle bus to the lake station so it’s really convenient.

Great Location but Disappointing Food The location of this hotel is fantastic, with Mount Fuji visible right from the window – truly a breathtaking view! The staff are well-trained and provide excellent service, which we really appreciated. However, the room was outdated, and the tatami floor was dusty, which could be an issue for those with dust allergies. The onsen was decent, nothing exceptional but good enough for a relaxing soak. The biggest letdown was the food. We booked the half-board option, but the meals felt like they came from a school cafeteria despite their beautiful presentation. The taste was unbalanced, with dishes being either too sweet, too sour, or too salty, lacking the harmony typically found in Japanese cuisine. Both dinner and breakfast were disappointing. If you stay here, I recommend enjoying the location and service but skipping the meal plan.

Luggage lockers available, easy to get to from station. Staff just expect you to get on with things and not so helpful but that’s not an issue as everything is pretty self explanatory. Would stay again.

Nice hotel! We just arrived at the hotel entrance, and there were staff members greeting us at the door. During check-in, the process was explained clearly, and the service was excellent. A staff member was dedicated to serving us dinner, and both the dinner and breakfast tasted great. The view from our room was also very good. When we left, the hotel staff waved at us continuously. The service and quality were very good.👍👍

Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko exceeded all expectations. The stunning views of Mount Fuji and the cozy, well-maintained rooms were perfect. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fuji Gran Villa! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. The villa itself was stunning—beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and offering breathtaking views of Mount Fuji that felt like a dream. The amenities were top-notch, from the cozy beds to the luxurious private onsen. Every corner of the villa exuded comfort and tranquility, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the surrounding area. The location was also ideal, with easy access to local attractions and serene surroundings that provided a peaceful escape from the city. What truly set Fuji Gran Villa apart was the thoughtful touches—the welcome snacks, personalized recommendations, and the staff's genuine care for their guests. This is such a wonderful hotel. The autumn colours directly outside their lounge area was a sight. It has great views of both Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji from their dining area. Their inclusive breakfast and dinner buffet was great with fresh sashimi, sushi, steak, beer, wine, etc.. We like that it has not been overly modernized and keeps its old feel charm. The service level was good and all the staff were most helpful and pleasant. We will definitely return.

Very Good value for money! With welcome drinks (juice & house wines) & snacks. Fusion fine dining dinner mixed with Japanese & western style, decent presentation & taste good. Cozy room setting with high quality drinks ware. Due to bad weather, we didn’t use the outdoor bath tub but we believe that it should have the FJ Mountain view. The 5 different hot-spring private rooms are special, no reservation is required & we tried the hot stone chair & felt good! The hot-spring section also provides to ice lolly & drinks. Buffet as the Morning breakfast with variety of foods but only serve till to 9:15am. Hotel pack up service with several time slots & operated on time.

Stayed in the villa, good sized cozy place. No tv, wasnt allowed to bring outside food and drinks but we did anyway. Was raining the whole day unfortunately but we could see mt fuji the next morning it was gorgeous. Good glamping place overall worth a try!

The hotel requires a drive all the way up the hill. Hence, it's not recommended if you are not driving. Onsen and private baths are the best highlights for this hotel, otherwise the food options were very pricey. Stayed in a premium twin room and they placed a lamp right next to the mirror door which we accidentally hit and broke it while using the mirror. The hotel wanted to charged 20,000 yen for the accidental damage but we negotiated for a lower fee. Thankfully they accepted in view that we were sincere about paying but not an exorbitant pricing. Cautious to anyone staying here to look out for breakable furnishing in the room.

We used the payphone at the train station to call the resort and they arranged a pick up service for us. It arrived within 15 minutes of the call so we didn’t have to wait too long in the cold. It would be better if they could let us know about this arrangement in the booking confirmation. Driver who picked us up was a delight to meet! He was cheerful, coupled with his humorous mannerism, brightened up the otherwise gloomy journey amidst the cold. Location of the resort is quite far away. Although there was a 7-11 within 10 minutes of walking, the nearest shopping cluster was 20 minutes away, although this shopping cluster is quite a complete one with a full pharmacy, supermarket and plenty of food options, ranging from cheap to exquisite. The resort is 30 minutes walk (15 minutes drive) away from Kawaguchiko station. The location will be more convenient for travelers who drive. We woke up with a direct view of Fuji-San! Absolutely breath taking. Breakfast, served buffet-style was sumptuous with Japanese food. It filled us up and got us ready for the day. Upon check out, we realized we had to book the shuttle bus to the train station. We thought it would be readily available. This was not the case as the bus at the previous timings were full. This could have been made known to us upon check in. Also, the shuttle bus is actually a 7-seater car and not a bus. Maybe right-naming the vehicle is better as it will give travelers a better understanding the capacity of the transport.

Saya mendaftar masuk awal pada pukul 3 untuk masuk ke dalam bilik saya turun dari kereta dan pergi ke pintu masuk hotel untuk membantu dengan bagasi Bilik tatami ala-Jepun dengan pemandangan gunung Malangnya, pemandangan dan cuaca berubah pada separuh jalan Berbeza dengan bilik di Tokyo Kemudahan bilik terasa lama tetapi bersih. Kakitangan di sini sangat ramah dan dapat menyelesaikan masalah saya walaupun kemahiran bahasa Jepun dan Inggeris saya terhad. Bilik itu sangat bersih walaupun dua orang mempunyai bagasi yang mencukupi untuk dibuka. Mandi air panas percuma untuk masuk. Mata air panas itu sangat hangat dan selesa. Sayang sekali salji turun keesokan harinya dan saya tidak dapat melihat Gunung Fuji. Hotel ini agak jauh dari stesen, dan ia mengambil masa 15-20 minit untuk berjalan ke stesen.Tambahan pula, tram di stesen berjalan kira-kira setengah jam, jadi ia tidak sesuai untuk rakan-rakan tanpa kereta. Ia sangat disyorkan untuk rakan-rakan yang suka berjalan kaki atau melancong dengan kereta.

Came here for my friend’s birthday celebration. Hotel has tea ceremony on arrival (free of charge) at around 4pm, in a traditional tea house facing a beautiful river, the hotel also gave us a glass of a Japanese sake (also free of charge) that we can enjoy next to the river. Room is big, came with a private hot spring in the room, hot spring and living room is facing mt Fuji, very nice room. There’s a traditional drum shows after dinner everyday, also a small game after the show. We were very lucky that we both got a gift from the game. There was cockroaches in the room, one big cockroach and a few very tiny cockroaches in the bathroom area, others than that, it’s a beautiful place to stay. Still love this hotel v much.

a short walk from the train station, and a shuttle bus available at destinated time to Kawaguchiko Station, the hotel is not the 1st stop, and the bus might be full when it reaches.

Conveniently located right behind Fujisan Station just under 5 minutes walk! Easy checkin and staff were very friendly. There’s a common kitchen and dining area with free tea and water. Snacks, canned drinks & instant noodles also available for purchase at a low cost! There’s also a piano in the dining area which is fun. Booked the room with the Mt Fuji view and it did not disappoint! It was also spacious for an average hotel in Japan. There are a lot of free amenities in the lobby area too like free pajamas, toothbrush, etc. not near any convenience store but the hotel’s purchasable snacks are handy. Sometimes there’s a food truck parked outside as well. Local eateries are around the area too so not a worry. Best part of the hotel was their rooftop terrace where you can get a picturesque view of Mount Fuji and even Fuji-Q Highland theme park!

service upon and during stay were great! however the staff were really indifferent after we checked out :( i am almost 7 months pregnant with a big belly and was standing in the cold with my luggages waiting for my husband but no one offered help. the staff just walked past me.. the cleanliness can be improved, we found a used plaster in our room at our private open air bath. and the showering area drainage is clogged, when we showered our feet became oily from the clogged drain. but i must say we loved the amenities and activities provided by the hotel which included the taiko drum and piano performances in the night, as well as the free yukata rental. loved the view from hotel even more! private open air bath in the room was great and temperature of the water can be adjusted by the hotel personnel as well, just give the reception a call. the mt fuji view from the open air bath on in our room was not fantastic as it was on the left side, but it was good enough. just a small view of the whole mountain. my husband went to the public open air onsen on the 10th floor (segregated timings for men and women respectively) and he said the view of the mt fuji was very very nice, five times better than in the room, and the mountain looked bigger and nearer. the in room dining for dinner was 8 course meal and very filling. loved the black wagyu fillet steak (small piece, can’t choose doneness, it was well cooked). it was delicious! the breakfast buffet at garden terrace had good view of the gardens too. had a wide variety of food from japanese to western. very sumptuous. check in early after 2.30pm to enjoy the amenities and services! you get to enjoy complimentary tea at at the tea house but it closes at 6pm. club lounge free snacks and drinks will end at 6pm too.

This hotel is stunning with a great location, there are so many corners that can see Mt.Fuji (if you have luck that it's not too shy for you 😂)
