Best place i have stayed in vietnam could not recommend it more. We came in at 5am after a sleeper bus and when we got there we were greeted with fruit and buns. We got to check in early and sleep for a few hours. Room was lovely with a double bed and ensuite. We rented bikes and we got free water for the day after doing this. The staff were lovely. They provide a laundry service- I gave 2kg of clothes at 10am and it was left waiting outside my room all clean and dry at 4pm. Breakfast was included this was nice too. We also were given snacks and water for our next bus after leaving. If staying in Ninh Binh you should definitely book with Homestay Koi!!

We’ve booked a one-week trip with Mr Truong. It was just incredible and we highly recommend him. We’ve seen beautiful places up north where we could live local adventures away from tourist spots. He organized for us a French-speaking guide who was amazing. Truong is a very good driver, a flexible and smart person. He even found a solution for us to avoid the typhoon. We stayed three nights in his friendly home and everything was perfect (cleaned room, tasty meals and lovely atmosphere). Thank you again Mr Truong and family for making our trip unforgettable. We stayed at the Emeralda Resort in Tam Coc for 3 nights last week. It was a pleasant experience. The hotel is beautiful, I loved the view of our bedroom. The staff is very welcoming, they would help with everything we needed. The Spa is worth checking, loved the massages. The restaurant serves a variety of meals and they are all good. The breakfast buffet is great, especially if you seat by the windows where it's a beautiful view of the mountains of on the other side you can sit below the koi aquarium. We booked two days of tours, and the guide Sau Dang made a perfect schedule for us. We had his attention during all the days, he took me to see the most incredible things. Explaining the history and juice details about the geography and culture of each place we passed and about the Complex of Ninh Binh itself. Thank you Emerald Resort, thank you Sau Dang. You all made our time there lovely! We would love to come back.

We arranged private transport from Hanoi hotel to Hidden Charm and the transport was punctual (early in fact). Driver was focused and safe. Check-in at Hidden Charm was a breeze, they served a citrusy warm drink that I enjoyed. Front desk customer service personnel were proactive in suggesting sightseeing spots at Ninh Binh when we asked for suggestions. Breakfast buffet was pretty standard with western bread options and Asian pho, fried rice etc. Location wise, Hidden Charm is very near the Tam Coc boat ticket booth and also offers bicycles for us to cycle to Mua Caves and where the Lying Dragon was. At the entrance to Mua Cave, there will be people trying to get you to park your bikes for a fee, typically 5k VND per bike but we found one close to entrance and charged 2k VND per bike. Our room was at the 7th floor and comes with a expansive view. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. There was also a bath tub for me to enjoy. At the end of trip, the hotel staff arranged for private transport to the Noi Bai airport at my request. Again, driver was early and ride was smooth. I enjoyed my stay at Hidden Charm and would recommend to anyone who wish to stay in a clean hotel with excellent service.

Our family of six visited this hotel restaurant in anticipation of a really good new year dinner . We were met by a group of surly disinterested arrogant staff .who could not offer a smile or a welcome . The food was disgraceful most of the dishes came out stone cold asked waiter to reheat the meal ten minutes later came back as cold as before and scattered all over the plate . what really annoyed me was they tried to defend themselves instead of making a new meal . eventually had a conversation with the manager.who out of a group of staff was the only one with any English ability . To her credit she gave me her apologies.an intensive training program for the staff around customer service and a new chef would do this place the world of good .but I don't think I will ever know because I won't return .

If you want an English speaking host who will organise all you trips, transport etc then stay with local guide Tommy Pham and his lovely wife and 2 kids and get treated like family!... The homestay is on the quiet side of the lake yet only minutes away from all the best bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean and quiet with ceiling fans and icy aircon for a perfect nights sleep🥰.. You MUST book Tommy's guided motorbike tour where local riders take you along quiet country trails to little known locations with amazing views... And he will book bag trips as well to ask the best local attractions complete with English speaking guide..And the prices are ridiculously cheap😁... Thanks Tommy for a wonderful stress holiday in Ninh Binh 🥰

Simple, rustic hotel in Ninh Binh. We stayed here for two nights to explore Ninh Binh. From the start, D, the hotel staff was very prompt in answering our inquiries which was very assuring for a pleasant stay. Our private airport transfer to the hotel went without a hitch. Arriving at the hotel in the morning, we were offered breakfast which was well appreciated. The room was spacious and clean but needs refurbishment. The place is peaceful and quiet. Overall a very good stay.

10/10 Detailed review from an American. Room: clean, modern, upscale. Western-style furniture. Spacious beds. Nice furniture, free toothbrushes and combs, lovely bathroom facilities. Noise level: PEACEFUL and QUIET! Relaxing, if you want to escape the city noise. It is the countryside after all. You can see water buffalo herds in the fields nearby if you take a walk outside the hotel. I can watch them from my hotel window. Staff and service: AMAZING! So friendly and helpful and honest hardworking staff. Won't cheat or scam. Use google translate if needed. Honestly the staff made our stay so good we extended the stay an extra day. Ask them for local recommendations (they don't get a kickback from any recommendations so its all genuine) Food: RECOMMENDED! Especially for travelers afraid of getting food poisoning or upset stomach from street food. Restaurant quality, home-cooked/cooked-to-order meal. Clean kitchen facility. Good prices, cheap. Made with love, the manager herself cooked a lot of the meals for us and they were delicious (for reference, im vietnamese-american so in my humble opinion, the authenticity is excellent and pleasing to a western palate as well. Personal Recommendation: Want a nice dinner thats still authentic? Order your food and eat outdoors in the cool of the evening, try the barbeque-it-yourself beef and goat. Delicious, hand-marinated quality beef cuts and goat, and they give you a little tabletop BBQ pit for you to bbq your meat just how you like it. Order some side dishes and its a great and fun family meal. If you want to and the staff aren't busy, they can bbq it for you if you want, but I think its fun to do it yourself. The location is out in the countryside but don't be alarmed because the hotel is a short drive from the main city center and tourist spots. The bad: - The beer is warm lol. They should refrigerate it. - Tip: if you ask for ”wine”, note that its vietnamese hard liquor, not the western understanding of wine (grapes). - There's a stupid rooster nearby from one of the local farms and it likes to crow all day. If you stay in the downstairs rooms you might be able to hear it, but if you stay in the upper floors you can't hear it. Would stay again.

Mención especial a Kien, muy majo y servicial y aprendiendo ingles para atender mejor. Puedes alquilar moto o bicis y la localización es muy buena cerca tanto de Trang An como de Mua cave.

La habitacion cuenta con todas las comodidas y la cama es grande y comoda. La limpieza es impecable. Perfecta para una estancia de varios dias. El alojamiento cuenta con servicio de lavandaria, alquiler de bicis a 60000d al dia y moto. La hubicacion es excepcional, alejada del bullicio pero a 2 minutos a pie del centro. El personal muy amable. Totalmente recomendable.

Our stay was very comfortable. The room provided all necessities such as shampoo, soap, fresh linen, towels, and AC. The floor was very clean. We had a great view of the mountain. Did not have any issues with mosquitoes, but probably mostly to do with the time of year (mid October). The location is just a 10min walk from boat rides and other restaurants. We didn’t rent any bikes but rather hired Grabs to get around. The staff were very friendly as well. Recommended for couples and families!

During my recent trip from Hanoi to Ninh Binh and Ha Long, we stayed at this place in Ninh Binh. Overall, I found the service to be quite average, with nothing particularly impressive. The facilities and surrounding landscape could use some significant improvements to make the experience more enjoyable. While the location was convenient, it didn’t quite meet my expectations for a memorable stay.

Accueil très chaleureux, on se sent comme à la maison, nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer la maman et le papa de la pension qui nous on présenté fièrement leur famille et nous ont donné un petit cours de vietnamien. La chambre était très agréable et surtout pas chère par rapport a sa qualité. Nous conseillons vivement.

The hotel is located in the city center Ninh Bình. Near Winmart Supermarket, very good. The hotel has just been upgraded and repaired, so it is beautiful and new. Friendly staff, always smile. Ninh Binh very beautyful.

관광을 목적으로 한다면 위치는 너무 좋습니다. 가성비로 따진다면 역시 최고 입니다. 우리가 평가를 하기전에 호텔에 지불한 비용을 생각한다면 약간의 아쉬움은 감수해야 합니다. 시설은 오래 되었고, 청결한 실내는 아니며, 일반적인 호텔 서비스를 기대하기는 아쉽네요. 사장님의 친절은 기대해도 좋습니다.

For what you pay, this old style hotel has it all, except for; the life is dead after 22:00 hours, hardly any shops or redtaurants open nearby.(Except for pizza place next door!)

A pleasant surprise in beautiful surroundings tucked away in the jungle. The room we had chosen had no air con (our choice as they as they do have rooms with Aircon) but the very friendly staff supplied us with 2 fans. The room and beds were clean. The staff were very friendly and help some. You can rent scooters and bicycles at very affordable prices. The food was good. Chez Boe is located only about 5 minuets ride from Mue Caves and Tam Coc. The river boats are about 15 minuets ride away, so the location is very central, yet you feel far away from all the noise of the modern world, with only the noise of Nature which makes it a great place to unwind. Can highly recommend staying here.

The best part of this hotel was the location. It’s in a quieter part of Tam Coc about 10 minutes’ walk from the centre. It’s on the main road, but you are one street back and there are rice fields right behind you. Tam Coc town itself isn’t that nice. Super touristy and tacky but it’s where most the restaurants and shops are so it’s nice being in a spot where it’s accessible, but you can also escape. The hotel itself is nice but definitely 3-star. That’s not a critique as it doesn’t sell itself as higher than that, but I think some of the photos flatter it a bit. The pool area is beautiful, overlooking the rice fields. Rooms are clean and a good size but a little worn. The staff and owner are lovely. English isn’t strong even by Vietnamese standards, so needed to use the translator app a fair bit but was never a problem. They have free bicyles to rent and they are good quality. I was impressed. You can get to most of the main sites from the hotel by peddle bike if you have a basic level of fitness. Motor scooters can also be rented for cheap. A couple of small opportunities for the hotel. It took me 3 days to get hand soap in my room. I did ask and got told it’s on the wall. Only saw body wash on the wall so assumed that’s all there was but the cleaners eventually noticed and put in hand soap. Also, the fridge wasn’t working throughout the duration of my stay. Thirdly, the hotel has those bathtub showers but no curtain or screen so it’s impossible to shower without soaking the bathroom floor. Should put some in. Would be an easy fix. Overall, I would recommend the hotel. It is good value and in a great location. Thanks for having me. I definitely enjoyed my stay!

Tam Ha (one of the staffs) had assisted us throughout our stay. Easy to communicate. We reached the hotel around 7am and they let us rest in the massage room while waiting for the check-in time (2pm). At 10am - room was ready for us to check-in. She even upgraded our room and thus, we had bathtub 🥰. They lent us a steamer for us to iron our clothes. Bicycles available to stroll around town (free) and motorcycles available for rent at 60k dong for half day. They even had so many services which sadly we had no time to experience. We did try the complimentary tea time and it was nice to hv a chat at the rooftop with such perfect view. I would recommend this hotel. Service 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Tam Ha even personally came to our room to check on us so that we didn’t miss our flight on the check-out day. The other staffs were also friendly and kind. They assisted us promptly. Technician helped to fix our room telephone and carry our baggage. Everything went perfectly well and this had contributed to our great time in Ninh Binh.

the villa and facilities are excellent, breakfast spread was also decent with an option for local vietnamese pho bo. however location is slightly further away from the main attractions like Tam Coc or Mua Caves

We had such a good time in this homestay. We felt like part of the family, spend time with children and shared experiences. You can rent a motorbike for cheap and they helped us with the bus tickets. The room was causy and had everything we needed, hot water, hairdryer. You can order food, we tried rolls and they're delicious!
