The Glad Stone

Sometimes the average drinker (like me) needs an expert to really help understand the importance of a good pub. I visited The Gladstone months ago and stayed for a swift half, having not thought it was anything out of the ordinary. A return visit on a London Pub Explorer tour really opened my eyes to what an asset the pub is in its locality. Possibly London's only desi pub, The Glad is run by a brother and sister who saw it through the pandemic by fundraising and have really made it their own. It's an asset of community value as well, a useful curb on developers attacks on the land.
