The Old Justice

The pub was run down, uncared for and down at heal. Since then its had the interior torn out without planning permission, and then replaced. It was also shut for several years and the developers were wolf-like at the doors. WhatPub reports it re-opened in 2023 while Historic England says it was influenced by the Improved Pubs movement, a style of building and decorating designed to present pubs in a better light. It now demonstrates what an upmarket 1930s urban pub woud have looked like.
