The room was super spacious and clean, toilet amenities is a bit bare, so bring your own toothbrush/comb etc. The way to the hotel reception was a bit confusing but basically you have to drive all the way up to Level 3 and the entrance to the door is not sheltered so be careful of rain! After going through the door, turn right, walk straight through multiple doors, and take the lift up to Level 12 where the reception is. Actually this “hotel” is pretty big each level has lots of rooms. It’s also connected to a mall but all the more popular shops (like M&S and the grocery store) are closed so nothing much to do there. But you can drive a short while to bigger grocery chains. Overall a good comfortable stay and it makes a perfect pit stop

I am absolutely disgusted with what I witnessed at the Holiday Inn Express Hamilton this morning. I will not be going back there again as I am in shock still. The receptionist was absolutely disgusting with the way she was speaking to some other guests who were trying to check in. Clearly, they had been at work (somewhere in the area or nearby) and were really tierd. As they didnt sound like they had a local accent or were scottish, they must have travelled also a fair distance to get there. You could see the lads had just wanted to go to sleep. The customer was very patient and was attempting to converse with the person behind the counter, who was just not listening and telling him ”He Was Wrong” and Patronising him and telling him, ”Thats not how it works”. To put it plainly, she needs Sacking. I would not be spoken like that by anyone and certainly not after travelling and working all night. She was Absolutely Vile and people like that should not be aloud to do the job she was meant to be doing let alone near the general public.

We stayed to see show in Glasgow. Beautiful quiet area. Great link with the motorway 5mins. An extra bonus we stayed during a race day. We had racecourse view. Very clean room with friendly attentive staff. It is possible to buy food and drink all night. A great bonus when returning late to the hotel. We will be back in October for another show. I would not consider staying anywhere else now

Perfect if you want to stay over night for yourself or for business trip. There’s a bar and restaurant at the location. The room I stayed was small, but was clean and perfect if your need a room to stay overnight. Hotel is in a good location. Staff were kind and helpful

As we walked in after a long drive up from South Wales we were welcomed by Julie with a great smile and a lovely welcome. When we got up and stepped into the corridor Sarah who was cleaning the rooms gave us a wonderful friendly good morning. It is amazing what a difference this makes. Thank you, both. Overall the stay was good, room spotlessly clean, quiet and we enjoyed a meal at the Chinese restaurant in the evening and a good breakfast choice too in the morning. we will be back!

Arrived with family for 1 night stay. The hotel needs some tlc outside as it looks rather scruffy and unkept with a very poor carpark surface. Reception and checkin was poor, very unwelcoming and even though the room types booked on line were not allocated, no appolgy given, even when we advised we were unhappy with the roomype allocated we were told nothing can be done were full!, asked again and were told again cant do anything and when we pointed out our confirmations were told that they can allocate the room type even if its different from your confirmation, Im quite sure this is not correct but did not want to argue with the girl on the desk as she was clearly no intrested and so much so she left a trainee to finsih the checkin as she had just recieved a delivery of food, and disapeared into the back office. No explanation of how to find our rooms until we asked, again very poor. Our rooms were not exactly as what we had expected from the online pictures and were not cleaned to a high standard as promised by IHG, Stained carpets and curtains, marked walls,dirty tea spoons and hospitality tray missing in one room another room the kettle still full from previous guest. Stained Pillow and marked bedding as well as miss matched bedding, some satin *****e and some plain. all in not the product you advertis for Holiday Inn. Sadly we chose to dine with you in your restaurant and that also was poor, No welcome, had to look for a member of staff to help us and then again to take our order, the food was average but poor when you consider the cost of the dishes on the menu, The soup was tasteless and had no body, the mains were equally poor and no sauces offered, we had to ask then were brought sachets more like a fast food restaurant or motorway cafe rather than a restaurant, but the dining experiance was also let down by the cold and empty atmosphere of the room, and the team who made little effort to enage with the few guests they had. Serious lack of leadership and no management presence in the time we were there, other wise these comments would have been given.

We had the most amazing wedding day at this wonderful venue. All staff were a pleasure to speak to and nothing was too much trouble. The day ran so perfectly and our guests commented on what a wonderful day they all had. The food was amazing, rooms were clean and the honeymoon suite was beautiful! Have to give a massive shout out to our master of ceremonies Dominic. He honestly made sure everything ran smoothly and kept us right through the day. Such a lovely gentleman and he couldn't have done more for us. We only gave ourselves 6 months to plan our day and without the help and support from the lovely team this wouldnt have been possible. From answering my questions to phoning me back after panic calling at 10pm they gave me so much advice and reassurance. We are now looking forward to coming back to celebrate in the new year!
