Hotel Pet Friendly di Hainan, China

Rooms are big, breakfast has many choices, near to duty free mall, BUT their receptions was the worst, I asked for another room key since I got down with the wrong room key, the young lady at reception then asked to see my passport, then talking and laughing with her friends then I scolded her n tell her it was kinda late also I had to carry heavy shopping bags and my children was waiting with me. Then she started serious working. Then the next morning I asked them to help me with my packages delivered to the front desk but they ask me to find by my own on different floor since they were busy. The front desk was empty with no guests at all. Too bad the hotel has nice facilities but their service and Receptions are not friendly and unhelpful.

I wonder if all the reviews here are sponsored or something, but this hotel is NEVER a 5-star hotel, rather 3-4, and here is why: 1. Amenities - no pool bar in all pools and beach, food trucks are closed, and in order to get a drink near the pool you need to climb to the lobby, it doesn’t make any sense. (Closed bar in the photo attached) 2. Pool area - not enough sun beds, maybe 30 beds for hundreds of hotel guests. 3. Breakfast was fine, but really? Plastic cups for coffee? And no cold water at all to drink during the meal? 4. 5-star hotel in Asia and no bidet in the room. And also, how about having a closet in the room? Also, the fridge minimum temperature was around 7-8C, so I had to have few ice buckets to cooldown drinks. In terms of good things - 1. Kids club and pool are very nice with great stuff, our kids loved it. 2. Housekeeping staff does an amazing job, the room was clean and comfy. I won’t recommend this hotel and will not visit it again.

1) Check in was smooth and fast. The hotel arranged our 4 rooms on the same floor, this was very helpful as travelling with my elderly mom. 2) Rooms are spacious and very clean. Room amenities well equipped. Only thing the in-room mini bar served only tea bags. For coffee drinkers, need to bring your own ready mix coffee and stirrers. Or just walk out the street or ******* if need coffee. 3) Hotel has many meeting rooms for wedding or event. on 25 Oct we saw at least 6 wedding cars at the foyer area. 4) Location is pretty centralized and can view the space center from some room, the hotel AI will send great information via Trip.com once your booking is confirmed. Very good innovative.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Hilton Wenchang. The room was spacious and the bed was excellent. The complimentary shuttle service from the train station was especially convenient—it made arriving at the hotel an absolute breeze. A special thank you to Gill for her outstanding assistance. From arranging the shuttle bus to providing helpful recommendations about Wenchang and hotel activities—such as the sunrise viewing and fireworks show—she ensured our stay was seamless and thoroughly enjoyable.

Lovely resort, rooms are comfortable and few mosquitoes despite the tropical location. Hot springs were nice to do in the afternoon, but they seem to be refilled / reheated in the morning and it way too hot to go in the water in the morning. Pool does not appear to be heated and somewhat cold to be swimming in January.

For the price, you can't really ask for much. The cleaning lady commented that we took too much water (we took 2 each day and stayed for 4D3N). The breakfast selection was quite poor and lack variety. They also don't refill when it's finish, so we ended up with leftovers. Then again, for what you paid, it would have been expected. The room was clean and spacious.

This hotel is very beautiful. I had a pleasant stay . Hotel staff was very kind. Momo was amazing. She’s super kind, the amenities they look exactly as the pictures, the beach is so beautiful. Upon arrival, we were well taken care of. They upgraded my room to an Oceanview room and we were given welcome fruit. The park is very beautiful too. It’s so peaceful. It’s further from the city center but the food at the restaurant is very good and the prices aren’t bad It’s affordable. My son had a great time at the swimming pool. I had a lovely time and I recommend anyone who’s looking for a place to just regroup and be away from the busy city life to book here. This hotel gives soft life feel and it is luxurious it is just amazing. I will definitely come back!!🥰🥰🫶🏽🫶🏽✨

剛從萬寧日月灣這家寶藏民宿回來，每一幕都像在度假大片裏！推窗就是層疊稻田與遠山，房間的大浴缸正對着椰林，泡湯時的視野直接拉滿。下午茶在稻田邊的露台享用，微風伴着稻香，連飲品都自帶氛圍感。泳池直面山野，喝着冰美式看雲捲雲舒，愜意到不想走。侘寂風的房間細節超用心，茅草屋頂和木質軟裝質感在線。服務貼心不打擾，體驗感直接封神，是來海南必刷的治癒系野奢民宿！我願稱為稻田椰林裏的避世天堂！！！

We chose Sheraton Haikou due to the great reviews, especially from helpful staff, close to the beach, and activities for children. Our stay was for 1 week. Disappointments: 1) Absence and failed service of front desk staff 2) No help with luggage (really needed it) 3) Room cleaning could have been better. 4) Communication, there was almost never English staff available. Additionally, no one once checked in on us. Maybe I’m being petty but if guests stay long you’d wanna check if they need anything or just if they’re okay. At checkout, they looked more annoyed and just wanted to get rid of me. I asked about my Marriott membership & the lady was dismissive. 5) Poorly winter holiday program for kids. Different from the advertised program on trip.com. 6) Checkout was delayed because they couldn’t find my booking. Very weird. Eventually they spoke to someone who helped me and found the booking. How is this possible considering that I’ve been there for a week? Great things: 1) location: it’s right on the beach, not far from airport and other places to explore 2. Location: it was very calm and relaxing, which is why we chose Haikou as opposed to Sanya. No heavy crowds, except when going to touristy places can expect some crowd but still manageable 3. Free photoshoot was fun and good way to create memories 4. Hot pool was a good way to make up for being in a pool, we loved it 5. Western restaurant was fine, had some good options. 6. Little play center for kids 7. Large grounds for kids to run around and to enjoy outdoors. 8. Accommodating: we were assigned a room on the 5th floor but on arrival it had a strong mould odour from the moment you exit the elevator. Was so bad when I entered the room, I instantly got a headache. All rooms have no windows, only a balcony door but be aware of bugs and spiders. We immediately got moved to a room on the 4th floor, less odour and no smell in the room. 9) Entertainment: live music at night Would I go again? Yes, especially since I know what to expect. Or try another hotel in the same area. Overall, we were happy to be by the seaside and explore places in Haikou.

When we first arrived the AC was broken in our room with water all over the floor and the smell of the room was awful. They showed us two more rooms and moved us to a new room quickly. Generally the smell of the hotel is pretty bad and it’s out dated. Very basic.
