My Stay at Ropewalks Hotel: Totally Worth It! Just got back from a quick overnight at Ropewalks Hotel in Liverpool and had to share my thoughts! For just £46 — and let's be real, saved a solid chunk thanks to those Trip.com coins — this little spot delivered way more than I expected for a city break. The location? **Perfect.** Right in the heart of the Ropewalks district, which means you're steps away from some of the coziest bars, indie eateries, and amazing street art. I came for a quick solo adventure, and being so close to everything made it super easy to explore without wasting time on transport. I stayed **Monday, August 11 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025** — just one night — and check-in after 3 PM was smooth. No waiting, no hassle. Check-out before 11 AM was equally chill. The room itself was modern, comfy, and spotlessly clean — exactly what I needed. Not five-star fancy, but everything worked, it felt cared for, and I actually got a great night's sleep. One thing I really appreciated? **The transparency.** The bulk was paid upfront, and I only had to hand over £2.40 on-site — no surprise fees. Plus, knowing Trip.com backs it with a price match and stay guarantee gave me peace of mind. Loved that I could message or call the hotel directly through the app, and the ”Manage Booking” feature made the whole process feel seamless. Felt like I was in control the whole time. Is this a resort with a spa and champagne service? Nope. But it's not pretending to be. Ropewalks Hotel is a no-nonsense, affordable city stay that **delivers exactly what it promises**: a clean bed in a great location at a fair price. **Would I book again? Nice Hotel and very clean hotel, friendly staff, and very good hotel for wheelchair users only the location of restaurant for breakfast was in the same area as entrance / reception what is not so nice bit strange for such nice Hotel

This stay was a little disappointing although the room and executive lounge were good value the lounge was boiling hot and air con not working and also the room had no water from 11pm - 4am. This is unacceptable when the weather is so hot not being able to get a shower at night. The hotel agreed to refund 25% of the cost but this isn’t really good enough . On departing we were told that they no longer do the Hilton Q park voucher unless the parking is pre booked online . This is ridiculous also .

I recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in Liverpool in Room 323. While my overall experience was great—the room was excellent and the price was fair—I have some feedback regarding the front desk service. As a professional with 15 years in the hotel industry, I felt the welcome at reception was lacking. After my wife checked in, I arrived and went to the front desk to inform them. They were not very welcoming and didn't offer any directions to my room or to the lifts, even though this was my first visit. I believe your staff would benefit from additional training on guest interaction and hospitality standards. This is not a complaint but rather constructive feedback to help you improve.

The hotel is right by the sea, a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the train station. They have sea-view rooms with nice scenery. There were also a few complimentary drinks in the fridge. The room was clean and tidy, so overall, it's pretty good.

When we arrived, we noticed we had been given a far inferior room than we've ever had before. The view was terrible. There was no fridge which we have always had before and the room looked 'tired'...in need of TLC. I went to reception to tell them I was not happy. Anyway they did sort it. Gave us another room with a better view and the young girl on reception brought us an old, but working mini fridge.. so it worked out OK in the end ( I need a fridge to put some of my medication in.) Another lady on the desk was very curt when I said there was no fridge and stated....not all rooms automatically have a fridge in them. Sorry but I thought they did. Whoever makes loose leaf tea in the restaurant needs to learn it is 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 for the pot. In this case 3tsp of tea and not half a teapot full. I kid you not. See pic below. We got a refund for some of the tea, but nit for the cream tea my friend had. My friend had ordered a cream tea and me, just a tea. Yet they brought a pot of tea for 2, which is the wrong etiquette for an order like this. Hence we only got 2 cups out of it, because of the amount of loose tea in there. I think I have been spoiled by the superior standard of the rooms, when we have stayed before....I just presumed all their rooms would be like this

I had a one night stay at Hanover Street L1 last night 27.5 and it was mostly really good - the room, cleanliness and breakfast and this made up for the problem I had using the swimming pool. I had booked this hotel because it has a pool but hadn't realised it was half term. Consequently, the pool was full of children the whole time I was there. I was only able to access the sauna and this is when I heard some kids laughing about making Sea Gas...a competition about who could fart most whilst underwater. Although I can see the humour in this, I did feel really disgusted and this confirmed that I could not use the pool at all, as well as the fact that it was constantly very loud and with no space to swim. This lack of access will very much affect my future plans to stay there, even if it were school term time, I wouldn't come there on a weekend for this reason.

Location is superb if you are visiting Albert Dock and the Beetles shop nearby. Also it is close enough to go to John Lewis and other shops/ restaurants. Would recommend this accommodation for those who could occupy on his/her own.
