Foi uma ótima estadia. Os funcionários do hotel foram sempre atenciosos. A limpeza salta à vista por ser excelente. Os quartos espaçosos com tudo o que é preciso para ter uma estadia. O pequeno almoço é excecional, não falta nada e tem tudo. Fica próximo do centro e também das praias. Vou voltar certamente.

This could be such a nice hotel: rooms are modern, spacious and clean, all face to the Minho valley and will have sunsets. Breakfast (still included for all guests) is above average and is served in bright open roof top restaurant. Indoor pool wiht Jacuzzi and Turkish Bath is a plus in this Portugal very Norte area.. Outdoor pool was great! What makes me to vote so bad? First of all you'll be welcomed with a recently (2023?) introduced parking fee of 6€/day which is ridicolous as outside the parking is ”free”. Actually the real free area is 700m to be walked back, so most folks who are shocked about those low-cost airline fees do park their car in front of the gate where actually it'y a yellow line both sides of the street. Risk of fine exists! 6€ isnot much and you might find it petty to complain? True but as 99% of the guest do come by car this kind of mandatory fee if you don't want to be risked of a fine - I'm sure the local authorities will sooner or later - of course only time by time - check and give fines. In my eyes this is done in ”cooperation” wiht hotel management. Hotel Management, oh yes: during our 2 nights (3 days) stay hotel manager wasn't available to talk to me? A management which isn't on site isnot a management - should be fired! The last minor thing I complain is the limited experience of most of the ladies working there. This could be improved with above management, if there was one at all? My message: insteady of introducing stupid parking fees, charge for the indoor pool or for the pool towels like other hotels do. I can't imagine why 6€ for each room can make a difference if the prices are very dynamlically changeing between 55€ (tour operators) and 200€ for the double depending on the date you are searching for. (BTW: even 100€ is a maximum limit for this remote area middle of nowhere close to Spanish border)

This was a nice little boutique hotel right near the historic center. We were always greeted with a smile and treated kindly. I shared a room with my son and the twin beds were more than adequate. Bathroom is on the small side but it was fine for our needs. The hotel is a little older but the elevator worked great and the entire property was well kept and clean. My only caveat was there there was no outdoor seating area, you have to wear a swim cap and water shoes for the pool and the pool was indoors in a very hot room. The continental style breakfast buffet was good and provided lots of variety. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

This charming and extremely well priced hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk from the main street in Viana do Castelo. The staff was lovely, the hotel charming. The room was spotless, and impeccably comfortable. The bathroom was also sparkling and everything functioned perfectly. Breakfast was lovely. The breakfast staff was cheerful and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Fui com o meu marido e um casal amigo no fim de semana do carnaval. Entramos a 19 e saímos a 21 de Fevereiro. Há bastante tempo que não ia a esta unidade hoteleira. Sendo uma unidade de 4 estrelas fiquei bastante decepcionada com a restauração. No que toca a pequenos almoços bastante razoável. Os dois jantares que fizemos lá foram muito maus. Mesmo sendo associados paga-se um valor considerável por pessoa. Num dos jantares serviram uns secretos de porco preto que até deviam ter vergonha de apresentar. Sobremesas a faltar. Saladas só alface, tomate e milho. Não era este tipo de serviço a que estava habituada no Inatel para mais neste que é considerado de 4 estrelas. Lamento mas não posso aceitar. A direcção do inatel deveria escrutinar estas situações.

We stayed here as part of a golfing trip to northern Portugal. We enjoyed the golf course which is very good … if lacking in decent practice facilities. The hotel is nothing special … clean and functional - no bar, but you can buy alcohol in reception for consumption in your room. There is a pool and gym attached which is for use by hotel guests - and outside members too. The staff in the gym were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is ok. As the hotel does not have a restaurant, we had a package which allowed us to eat in the golf club restaurant. The food here is very mediocre indeed … a set menu with a choice of two dishes per course (more for desert). My veal pasta was pretty much inedible on one night I am sad to say. The staff in the restaurant are very hit and miss … apart from Miguel who tried exceedingly hard and looked after us very well. Thumbs up to him!

True, the hotel is not located in a beautiful area, and didn't look like much from the outside - but WOW when you entered the expansive lobby you have a beautiful view of the sea. We are seniors, driving on our own, so were looking for a hotel that didn't involve negotiating the city streets, served breakfast and had free parking on site. It was raining hard when we arrived, so were pleased to know there is a restaurant there as well. It was a 4e Uber ride into the charming town center. Viana do Castelo is lovely. The hotel specializes in large groups (there were several well behaved young futbol teams there during our stay). The breakfast buffet was plentiful and diverse. We had a sea view room, with a balcony and two lounge chairs....if only the weather had been better!

This hotel is so beautifully restored and it’s in an ideal location, right next to the train station and the funicular to the hilltop Santa Luzia, in the heart of Viana do Castelo, yet quiet and peaceful. There are many lovely spaces to sit, chat, work, play games, in the common areas. There’s a pool and patio adjacent to the bar, which also serves as the breakfast room. Important for me, due to some mobility limitations: there’s an elevator. I stayed for five nights while my husband was walking the Portuguese Camino, and he took a rest day here and stayed two nights. Our room (202) was, I believe, a standard double room, but it was spacious and very comfortable. It was serviced daily and spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was space to unpack and a desk to organize my things (one small drawback being the limited number of outlets, leading me to have to charge my phone next to the sink, risking it getting wet), there was a soaking tub!, and a seating area looked out the window with a view of Santa Luzia (as well as some construction and renovation or maintenance on the railroad station 😊). Some earlier reviewers disparaged the breakfast provided. Something must have changed if their reviews were accurate (maybe their feedback inspired improvement), because the amount and variety offered was considerable: a variety of breads and cereals, spreads, cheeses, deli meats, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, hot scrambled eggs, bacon, plus juice, coffee, and tea. Quite an appetizing colorful display! The best feature of this hotel though is the incredible staff! Everyone was gracious and always willing to help, with a smile. Daniela and Alberta were especially attentive and helpful to me, and Rui went way “above and beyond” in helping me get train tickets, arranging a massage for my pilgrim husband when he arrived, attending to special requests, giving excellent restaurant recommendations, etc. My heartfelt thanks for all the help so readily and graciously given. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We were walking the Portuguese Camino and this was our favourite hotel of the route. We were delighted to have a kettle in our room so we could make a herbal tea which we’d brought with us. It coincided with us finishing the day’s walk mid afternoon so got to enjoy a relax around the pool and a dip. Great breakfast too! Reception were really friendly and helpful.
