Hotel Romantic di Shanxi, China

I dont often post reviews, but this hotel absolutely deserves all the positive ratings it gets! Firstly the location is excellent, just a stones throw from the main street. In fact the whole city is easily walkable but if you struggle with mobility there are several shuttle services. Secondly the value for money is incredible, the room felt luxurious and the central courtyard is very pretty, so for the price you really cannot complain. Thirdly, and arguably most importantly the hosts are absolute sweethearts. Even though I only stayed one night, they gave me a lift to and from the train station, as well as a free bottle of local vinegar! I seriously can't recommend this place enough!!

I initially booked for one night but I decided to stay for another night. Total two nights in the same room. Room is very clean, very quiet and the bed was superb, I slept very well. Staff super friendly and helpful. Hotel's location is about 10mins taxi from the old town centre but it is very convenient. If you don't like super crowded area with noisy street vendors and many tourists, I would recommend this place. I personally really enjoyed staying at this hotel, will definitely stay here again if I come back to Datong in future.

This hotel is very large and clean. The rooms were very spacious. The only thing is that the heat is 'on' even if you lower the temperature to its lowest setting. Thankfully there was a window to open even though it was -6° outside. The buffet was great with lots of selections. The one & only restaurant for dinner was great. Their large Asian menu provided pictures of all the dishes. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly & helpful. The pool was nice and clean. There was even a lifeguard on duty. The hot tubs were separate in the men's & ladies' change rooms. The only issue was that the front desk staff was very limited with English and there were no concierge services. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

酒店地理位置很好，從南站坐地鐵出來走幾分鐘就到了，去博物院過個路口就是，早餐很豐富，收台也很快，房間也挺好，床墊，枕頭軟硬適中，備註要求安靜的房間，都能滿足，想要風景好就得挨着馬路，所以我們沒選，確實很安靜，唯一唯一唯一就是空調，窗户開口太小，起不到通風的作用，空調開了25冷風最小風量，平均三五分鐘呼呼的吹一次，一次吹兩三分鐘，很影響睡眠！我看空調跟其他很多地區的酒店都一樣的控制面板，不知道為啥這樣！還有就是衞生間玻璃太不私隱了，建議換個膜，或者淋浴間門上貼上膜！

Nice location, friendly staff, welcoming fruits, comfortable bed but some disappointment versus pictures and reviews. My initial room had no direct opening to outdoor - underground , speakers are fake brands with not same quality, breakfast is basic and Chinese choice only and the building is not always well maintained or perfectly built . Correct choice though

The hotel is at the heart of pedestrian street of the night market. If you enjoy checking out the night market, this hotel is perfectly located. My room was facing the street/night market, it is not noisy if window is closed. And the street becomes quiet after 11pm. It was all perfect for me.

This hotel is a real value for money. It has excellent location, modern room amenities. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a wide range of varieties. The hotel has a restaurant called Fenglingge which serves great local cuisine with reasonable price. For hotel guest, there is a RMB60 restaurant voucher given to offset the restaurant bill at Fenglingge. One of the staff at Fenglingge, Liu Guangzhen 刘光珍 is very attentive and helpful and provides great service.

A place that allowed us to rejuvenate and sleep well! It has a hot spring tub in the room. Bed is a king size bed. Toilet has a sewer smell though, so that is one minus point. Service is awesome. Service staffs were helping us to bring our luggage down and up the car. They also helped navigate our car into the old city. We appreciate the free snacks and arrival drinks. The disposable toothbrush is surprisingly usable. The location is near to food street; the staff will gladly direct you to it. Thanks for the staff — 丽莎，小赵，小良!

非常好的酒店！谢谢你们 Fantastic experience at the hotel. Classic and beautiful old Chinese style with a breathtaking courtyard. Best service and super friendly front desk. We were picked up at the north gate of the town and the hotel guys shared with us the best loop on a map highlighting the best places in town. They also recommended us places to eat and helped out to buy the 3 days ticket. His wife speaks enough English to help you out if you don't speak Chinese. 100% recommended. If you are coming to Pingyao this is one of your best options.

第一次被一個民宿吸引，進門就是各種茶水，前台服務熱情，入住房間就送上了歡迎水果，房間全屋智能，乾淨整潔，細節之處盡顯精緻，第一次在酒店用上了濕廁紙，老闆還真大氣，院子裏全是花花草草很漂亮，孩子在院裏喂兔子、逗鸚鵡🦜、還餵了一池子金魚，出門就是古城精點美食區，計劃下次帶父母來住幾天，還有房間温泉泡上美美的，
