Hotel Romantic di Shanxi, China

I dont often post reviews, but this hotel absolutely deserves all the positive ratings it gets! Firstly the location is excellent, just a stones throw from the main street. In fact the whole city is easily walkable but if you struggle with mobility there are several shuttle services. Secondly the value for money is incredible, the room felt luxurious and the central courtyard is very pretty, so for the price you really cannot complain. Thirdly, and arguably most importantly the hosts are absolute sweethearts. Even though I only stayed one night, they gave me a lift to and from the train station, as well as a free bottle of local vinegar! I seriously can't recommend this place enough!!

The whole experience was amazing. They have beautiful rooms with a lot of space. We especially loved the big bed (3.4 m!!) in the family room. In the reception area there is a small cafe with good coffee and some cocktails. The breakfast option is not buffet style but at a small noddle place just around the corner with tasty food.

The Wyndham Grand is spectacular. Rooms were fantastic, and the buffet was immense in luxurious surroundings. The service by staff in the restaurant was exemplary as however busy it was the staff were incredibly personable and helpful. 5 star experience.

Stayed at the hotel for one night to visit the Jinci Temple and the Shanxi Museum. The location of the hotel is convenient, right next to the museum. The stay was definitely fine but missing some nice attentions : the check-in is quite cold and the fridge in the room is empty (no drinks but water). Also, the carpet in the room had many big spots despite the cleaning. A few more details would make the experience more memorable.

I went with my sister. To a place that is remote and strange to us. We did not expect much but we received lots of warm memories. From the airport pick up to arriving. They offered afternoon tea once we arrived hotel as it was very cold. We were taken care of well. The following days were nice breakfast, warm regards, constant reminders to wear more as it is cold. When the food rider could not find the hotel, the boss went out to find the food rider, asking me to stay back as it is cold outside. The constant reminders felt home and warmth, genuinely care for their guests. Amazing and soul enriching trip at this place. They offered more than they advertised - depending on the situations, which is beyond my expectation. Finally they sent us off to the railway station, this is not in the package but they only said they had the car, they can bring us there, like family sending off their guests. Find a place like this, rest for a few days, the world feels warmer, the soul feels grateful.

Good location, small room, front desk staff very friendly and helpful. 24小时小管家小美 very helpful to give me solid information that I need. Everything was perfect except the room was a little too small to have luggage organised. I would give my rating 9.6

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The service at the buffet breakfast was impeccable while the breakfast varieties were acceptable. The service provided by the staff with the employees' tag below was superb during my breakfast. The room is huge, a truly international 5 star quality. Daily cleaning service was great while I didn't manage to get their name, but kudos to their services. All in all, my experience here was great, and I would recommend anyone who stay at this hotel.

Great place to stay in the beautiful city of Pingyao. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming people — they explained where everything is located and even gave me a small gift when I was leaving. They met me and walked me to the city gate. The hotel itself is a small family-run place with a cozy inner courtyard. It’s about 600–800 meters from the main streets, so the atmosphere is calm and quiet. The room was spacious and quite clean. The kang bed is on the firm side — be prepared for that — but for me it was perfectly fine. Overall, this place was the best option in terms of value for money.

第一次被一個民宿吸引，進門就是各種茶水，前台服務熱情，入住房間就送上了歡迎水果，房間全屋智能，乾淨整潔，細節之處盡顯精緻，第一次在酒店用上了濕廁紙，老闆還真大氣，院子裏全是花花草草很漂亮，孩子在院裏喂兔子、逗鸚鵡🦜、還餵了一池子金魚，出門就是古城精點美食區，計劃下次帶父母來住幾天，還有房間温泉泡上美美的，
