Berhampiran stesen susur keluar barat Hachiko, sesuai untuk orang yang menaiki JR Haruka atau Shinkansen balik. Sebab dekat dengan jalan naik. Tetapi jika sesiapa memberi tumpuan kepada perjalanan bas di Kyoto, ia akan berada di seberang, berjalan kaki yang jauh. Ditempah 2 malam dan telah dinaik taraf ke bilik di sayap selatan. Letakkan beg pakaian anda dengan mudah. Terdapat plag di tepi katil. Katilnya sederhana lembut. Tetapi bantal itu sangat keras. Tetapi terdapat daun kecil dan lembut yang boleh digunakan secara bergantian. Lampu di dalam bilik tidak begitu terang. Terdapat 2 botol air percuma di dalam bilik yang hampir lengkap, hanya kehilangan topi mandi. Di sini, sistem daftar masuk kiosk mudah digunakan. Sarapan pagi tersedia jika anda belum membelinya. Terdapat 3 ruang makan untuk dipilih, setiap satu berharga 3000 yen.

This is my favorite hotel thus far across the 5 hotels I've stayed in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. It gives you the ”zen” feeling and services are great. We booked the room without breakfast, but the grab and go (bread, waffles, milk, tea, coffee,etc.) they provided are already sufficient for a quick breakfast before travelling around. I personally also like the smell of the shampoo and conditioner they gave (light tea smell).

This was probably the best hotel I stayed at in Japan. It felt incredibly clean — guests must remove their shoes at the entrance and store them in the shoe cabinets, so everyone walks around in socks. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes and even matcha latte. The onsen was outstanding: there were at least four pools, so it never felt crowded, plenty of shower cubicles, and a steam room with a TV. After each onsen session we could enjoy free ice cream or ice lollies and a bowl of ramen. The rooms blend modern design with traditional tatami style. The beds were firm and very comfortable, and although our room was on the smaller side (typical for Japan), it had everything we needed. We were also treated to POLA hair and body products in the bathroom and the onsen. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return next time I’m in town.

Great place to stay. Very clean, very convenient, and it is highly recommended. The service by the crew is very good. Food is very good too.

To start with the positives, the hotel was well located and easily accessible using the metro from Kyoto station. The room was a decent enough size and the staff were friendly and helpful. One major issue we encountered during our stay was the level of humidity in the room. The extractor fan didn't seem to be doing anything to impact moisture in the room, particularly after a warm shower. There was some treated glass above the sink and often this was the only area without moisture well over half an hour after having a shower. (Photos attached) This also meant that towels weren't drying correctly and created an unpleasant environment and ultimately odour in the room. The humidity was so high that the windows were dripping with water consistently and the window sill was actually wet. Additionally the absence of a full wardrobe (just a rail with hangers on) also created challenges when staying for longer than a couple of days and this combined with the humidity made the washing machine almost obsolete.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The interiors are stunning and rooms are spacious and well decorated with ample amenities. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The breakfast spread was the best I’ve had in Japan … includes very good ala carte options as well. Would definitely recommend to all visiting Kyoto.

It's an amazing hotel with a full range of amenities and services. Staff are super friendly and helpful as well. Onsen is very much enjoyable without having to wait for a long time. Location is best of the best. Right beside umekoji kyoto station. 5 min walk. Also close to 205 bus station and 7-eleven across the road. Room is very clean and roomy. No noise at all even if opposite to the train station. Just remember to get free yukata (Japanese style bath robe) before 5pm everyday otherwise you gotta use the plain looking robes provided in your own room. Other than that 5/5 rating for sure

The Gate Hotel Kyoto Takasegawa I stayed at The Gate Hotel Kyoto Takasegawa and had a mixed experience. The hotel’s design is excellent — modern, tasteful, and thoughtfully executed — and the location is near perfect for exploring Kyoto. One clear highlight was the outdoor courtyard seating: calm, beautifully lit in the evenings, and a genuinely lovely place to unwind after a day out. (Photo attached shows the courtyard, which really captures the atmosphere.) However, the service fell short of expectations. Our breakfast order was forgotten and only addressed after more than 20 minutes. On another occasion, the concierge provided incorrect directions on where to call for an Uber, which led to unnecessary confusion and delay. This reflected a lack of attentiveness and local familiarity that one would not expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall, the hotel excels in design, atmosphere, and location, and clearly has all the ingredients for a very strong stay. That said, service consistency and staff training need improvement to match the quality of the physical space. With better attention to these fundamentals, the hotel could truly live up to the high bar set by its beautifully designed environment.

The hotel is all self-service only, though there's a staff whom will appear when the error message sounded too many times. The dinosaurs at the recep can be pretty intimidating, as me and the kids were kinda scared off by it. The best thing about the hotel, is the location of it. It is located centrally just opposite Kyoto station, where it is linked to everywhere. Even the tour bus station is just next to the hotel, 2mins walk away to Kyoto Avanti mall. Super convenient. - Breakfast is included as well, simple fare, sufficient for us to tide past breakfast I will definitely consider Henn Na Hotel Kyoto again.
