Hotel Romantic di Okinawa Prefecture, Japan

Located very conveniently near Makishi Station, and at the west end of Kokusai Dori. Clean hotel with nice amenities. No gym though. Overall we were ok with the stay here. But two episodes eroded the satisfaction over service standards: 1) Booked 2 rooms for a total of 5 pax, through Trip.com via the same booking on the same day.. however upon arrival, only one room was given the daily welcome drink coupon (Orion beer) while the other was not. When asked, they said it was a change in policy and not all rooms are given the welcome drink. From the reviews, we were already expecting welcome drinks for all. The uneven treatment between rooms made it worse. I feel the service staff did not handle it well. May I suggest Trip.com work with the hotel to state explicitly which room types will / will not be offered this benefit, for clarity. 2) one of the service staff serving welcome drinks at the bar showed a black face when my family member made a request that was fulfilled the day before. The order was grudgingly fulfilled and the server just turned away after putting the drink on the table. That was unprofessional. Hope the hotel can work on their comms and service standards.

There was an infrastructure problem that took some time to resolve on arrival which meant that I couldn’t use a room and relax before my evening meal. On the other hand, the staff at reception and in the restaurant were kind and a solution was provided. The breakfast was superb, as were the Onsen facilities. I can’t really comment on the room as it was changed to a different one to that which I reserved but these are the amenity items that were included.

The hotel’s ground floor feels like an art gallery — modern, minimalist, and thoughtfully designed. The concierge, café, and laundry area are all located on the second floor, where you’ll also find a display space showcasing artwork and merchandise by local artists, adding a charming creative touch. Our room was clean and cozy, though slightly compact. We had to rearrange some furniture to open our luggage comfortably. The balcony was a highlight, offering a refreshing sea view and enhancing the overall relaxing, breezy atmosphere of the hotel. Breakfast was enjoyable with a decent variety of options, and the quality was satisfying. While the immediate surroundings are relatively quiet, it’s within walking distance to restaurants, AEON mart, and the popular Kokusai Dori Street, making it a good base for exploring the area.

Very good location located in a hilly area. Although the interior of the hotel looks aged, but it is very clean. The exterior and pool of the hotel is in great condition. The facilities are quite complete, staffs were helpful. We had a good stay.

We really enjoyed our experience here. Free parking was very handy as it can add up over your time at Okinawa. We had excellent service from Jerry on the reception desk. The onsen was a great facility which was well maintained by their staff. I was disappointed that the mens had a sauna and cold plunge, whereas the womens only had a steam room and two hot baths. The front desk in the lobby can provide tattoo covers as these are required. The fitness room was disappointing.. only dumbells up to 10kg and a few cardio machines. It is a shame that the pool is an additional expense. The breakfast had a great variety of foods. We would happily return.

The reason to go to this hotel is because it is extremely convenient and has a great view. We came here last year, but it was cheaper last year. We were surprised to learn that the car parking is now something you have to pay, which wasn't the case last year. Seems like a very cheap decision on their part considering the hotel is already pretty expensive. Also be prepared, the room will not be the newest or cleanest. It had a bit of mold on the wall around the AC unit, and the walls needed to be repainted and fixed on some parts.

This place is very well located near the Makishi station. Best of all is the generous and delicious breakfast spread, especially the french toast. Also the free drinks and ice cream throughout the day. Best of all is their cultural activities twice a day. When I was there I had time only fir the yukata. I will stay here next time when I'm in Naha again. Highly recommend!

Could check in really quickly without waiting in line so that was great. There were not that many washing machines, and it was difficult to use them because other guests would not come and collect their own laundry even after the machine had finished running. There was a sign saying that the neglected laundry would be collected after 10 minutes, but there weren't any staff keeping an eye on this anyway, so the warning sign wasn't helpful. Staff also seemed reluctant to provide more tea in the room even though they only have two tea bags every other day for a week-long stay. Even when asked, they would only initially offer one tea bag without asking if more were needed.

We stayed for four nights as a family of four, coming to Okinawa for a relaxing holiday. The two things we cared about most were the room size and breakfast—and we were very satisfied with both. Although the breakfast selection didn’t look very extensive at first, everything was delicious and well-prepared. There was a nice mix of Japanese, Okinawan, and Western options, and the menu changed daily, which kept things interesting. We left breakfast feeling full and satisfied every single day. The room was comfortable, and it was great that the TV had Netflix and YouTube available. Parking was also very convenient at 1100 yen per night (2pm–12pm). The location is excellent—right next to Naha Main Place, a popular local supermarket, and close to DFS Galleria as well. 7-11 just downstairs! The only minor downside was that the bathroom is located right next to the bed, and the sound insulation of the bathroom door could be better. Out of the two hotels we stayed at in Okinawa, this was our favourite. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next self-drive trip!

I wished the rooms had tea available in the room, but they only had coffee. There is a Bathtub but no bath salt. Limited amenities provided. Breakfast is tasty but simple. Room advertised as can sleep 3 but it’s probably too small to be comfortable unless it is a small child with two adults. Hotel has a nice modern design. Friendly staff who are helpful and casual.
