The hotel has been open for over a hundred years, and although the facilities are a bit old, they are still kept spotless. The elderly lady was very welcoming; seeing that we were checking in on a hot day, she quickly brought us bottled ice water. The hotel also has onsen (hot spring baths), with separate baths for men and women. One highlight is that you can choose an elegant cup to enjoy your tea or coffee for free. Another highlight is that you can take photos with the antique objects. A third highlight is that they offer a light breakfast of bread, juice, and salad in the morning. After enjoying the evening activities, it's less than 200 meters from the entrance of the Takeo Onsen building, making it a great accommodation option.

GGuest UserDelightful and unique! Easy to find, with a warm welcome and a lovely, nostalgic vibe. The private onsen with wonderful water was a highlight. Our renovated room was beautifully appointed, with a private bath and lovely details. We also savored a spectacular feast of Saga beef and other fine traditional meals. The staff's genuine kindness, including arranging a special gift, was much appreciated. Highly recommend!

SStaliciousTakeo City, located in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, doesn't have a huge number of places to visit, but it's enough for a day trip. This hotel is only a 7-minute drive from the city center. Located on a hilltop, it appears to be a renovated old hotel, but the design is quite modern and minimalist. The rooms are spacious, and the onsen (hot spring) and sauna are excellent. Be sure to book breakfast in advance when booking this hotel; the Japanese breakfast is very plentiful and I still enjoy it. A few minutes down the slope from the hotel is OND Park, a large campsite that hides an award-winning OND sauna. While OND Hotel guests don't get free access to the sauna, you can purchase a one-day pass to try it out.

I really liked the hotel's hot springs. 1) The second floor of the hotel's main building is a hot spring for hotel guests, with indoor and outdoor pools. 2) Guests can also enjoy the hotel's hot springs, which are open to the public and are located in a building next to the hotel. Both options are very comfortable. At the same time, across the road from the hotel is the Tamahime Shrine, and towards Lawson from the hotel is Zuikoji Temple. You can visit it. Overall, it was a very happy experience. The only drawback is that the hotel's network needs to be improved. 👍
