Hotel Dengan Spa di Ontario, Canada

The hotel room itself was lovely – clean, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared. We felt warmly welcomed by the sweet touch of two towel swans arranged on the bed upon arrival. However, the breakfast experience was disappointing. Despite offering only a very simple set menu, we waited nearly an hour to be served. Additionally, when we politely asked the front desk for late checkout due to breakfast delay. We had to fight for a mere 30-min extension. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent for exploring the beautiful small town, which was truly charming.

The hotel really needs to listen to its reviews. Most people have really damned them for being a dirty stinky cesspit of a venue but actually it is pretty amazing. Very smart foyer, lovely warm and cosy rooms and an amazing location. However, the internet is SUCKY away from the foyer - I had to talk with reception and a support tech person to explain that the internet was bad in the room and it was turned around to seem like I was wrong. Get more routers in, it’s not that difficult. Also, breakfast MUST INCLUDE healthy options. There is not a fruit or vegetable in sight. If you don’t count the options of raspberry or strawberry yoghurts. Personally, I think the hotel should rethink their pricing strategy. It is far too affordable; and breakfast (with fruit and veg) should be an upsell option. You have the location! You have an amazing swimming pool and hot tub! You even have top quality toiletries! I would have paid twice the rate without breakfast, which most properties in the area are doing. Sorry for my rant but I know the hotel should and can do better.

Very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our late arrival. The room was in good condition and very clean. Only thing to note is that the hotel is quite a bit away from Pearson Airports, so take into account driving time if flying out of the airport.

Loved my stay Heater & MayQueen are and were amazing customer service, communication and more two amazing women who helped add to the stay I had planned for my mothers birthday. We loved our stay the view of the Falls were amazingly beautiful. At check in I was given discounts to help enhance our trip or give us extra things to do. The view from the restaurant on site was ok and having a wider range of options to choose from would have been nice but food was good. Overall great stay!

We decided to do a quick staycation with our 3 year old twins and this place was perfect! Big pool, spacious rooms with balconies and great Starbucks coffee served downstairs in the hotel store in the morning along with croissants, cinnamon buns, oatmeal, etc. All for extra cost but great to have that available!

Had a great time here been coming here for 30 years ! Seen 4 or 5 different owners place seems to be improving with new owners rooms upgraded ! Pool view and we made use of the pool we have spent time at other places in gananoque But we come here more than other places!

Bought room with breakfast buffet included but when we went in the morning they said that the buffet is closed they can give us only one choice of main breakfast items, one side and one drink either juice or black coffee.  The omelet was very small and not enough to feed an adult.

Great historic hotel and convenient location. Staff is polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want an easy access to Parliament Hill and night life in Ottawa.

We are happy to stay in doubletree … the room is clean and good fit with family and kids… also our room can see the fireworks…. And I checked with front desk, all the rooms can view the fireworks. I definitely will come back to this hotel again.

Could have used another couple towels, pillows a little hard. Couldn’t find light switches in room. Room was 16 degrees when we got there. But soon warmed up
