Hotel Dengan Spa di Gunma Prefecture, Japan

The hotel is a bit of a drive from Karuizawa JR Station, about 35 minutes, and there's a toll fee. However, the scenery along the way is beautiful. Shiraito Falls is about 10 minutes away. The hotel parking lot is ample and very convenient. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hot springs are both indoor and outdoor, with an orange-brown color and a mild odor. Unfortunately, the outdoor hot springs don't allow for a view of the sky. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of options and are delicious. This hotel has a very resort-like feel and I'd definitely return if I had the chance. This was the only available hotel, so I booked online. The location is near Takasaki Station. Parking requires a reservation and requires an additional fee. The website where you can check this information is difficult to find. I was also told this at check-in, and the information about nearby parking lots was quickly explained to me as ”A is nearby, and B if it's unavailable,” which was confusing (by the night receptionist). The room was average. The unit bath had a moldy smell. The large public bath was nice. The morning receptionist's smile and service were very pleasant. It may have been the first day of the Obon holiday, so it was busy, but the price and service were not very good. I can understand why I was able to get a reservation.

I was satisfied because there were many types of baths in the large public bath. However, although you can see the river from the balcony, the balcony was in such bad condition that I didn't feel like going outside. I had enjoyed the hot spring town a few years ago when I stayed at another hotel nearby, so I was looking forward to going there again this time, but I was very disappointed to find that all three amusement centers were closed. Two of them are out of business, and one seems to close at 6pm.

Amazing ryokan to stay for a night in Kusatsu Onsen. Staff were all friendly and welcoming, and were helpful in explaining the ryokan’s facilities in English. Both breakfast and dinners are must-have experiences with this ryokan’s stay. The spread was delightful, and the produce used was fresh and delicious. The 3 private baths available were each unique and relaxing in the cold spring weather.

Beautiful, great service, super clean & comfortable hotel which sets it's standard really high. Everything was superb from the lobby to the room to the restaurants, and to the onsen. Quality meals are served with their hearts & the quality is too much for me. Our room was really huge. There are 3 different onsen rooms with indoor & outdoor pools. However, the outdoor pools do not give you any views since they bamboo-fenced the surrounding. Parking is free and it is only 2 mins walk down the slope to reach Kusatsu town centre. A minimum 2N stay is recommended.

Family trip for 6 people! The hot springs were good and the rice was really delicious. The employees were kind and very comfortable. I was able to relax in Ku 々. Thank you very much. I would like to use it again.

You can go directly to the hotel lobby from the east exit of Takasaki Station via the outdoor walkway on the second floor, and the hotel lobby, rooms, large communal bath on the 10th floor, and breakfast venue on the second floor are all very satisfying facilities. I had a very comfortable stay. I would definitely use it again.

I booked a Japanese-style room with a view of Ikaho Ishidan Street outside the window. The hotel's environment, service, and food for one night and two meals were also very delicious. The aperitif was brewed by the hotel itself. It can be seen that a lot of thought has been put into running the hotel well. It is very warm and my family and children are extremely satisfied. The private bath provided by the Japanese-style room is also very comfortable and perfect.

The staff 々 was able to spend a pleasant time with a smile. In the shabu-shabu buffet of the meal, the delicious meat was all-you-can-eat and the family was very satisfied. I was worried about some cleaning, but I think it's because I'm doing cleaning work, so the general public doesn't care. Mt. Myogi seen from the window was nice and different depending on the time of day and the weather.

I really liked the Comfort Hotel. Great location, easy access from maebashi train station and quick walk to shopping areas. The room was just what we needed with helpful amenities. Staff are lovely and helpful. Would recommend for a short stay.
