Hotel Dengan spa di Okayama Prefecture, Japan

Just a 3-4 minute walk from Kurashiki Station South Exit, this hotel has a lovely European resort style. For a Monday, a twin room at only 330 yen is incredible value for money! The room was quite spacious, and the large public bath in the basement was also very roomy, complete with free massage chairs. You can buy tickets for the Ohara Museum of Art at the front desk for 100 yen less than at the entrance. Plus, there's an affordable supermarket right across from the hotel that's open until 11 PM – perfect for grabbing groceries! I bought a bunch of late-night snacks and breakfast for the next day, all for less than 1500 yen.

The Hotel is in a very convenient location, only about a 7-minute walk from Okayama JR Station. The highlight was definitely the public bath (Onsen)—so relaxing after a day of walking! It’s a wonderful choice for families traveling with kids.

The scenery is so beautiful, very comfortable and first-class service! The proprietress and the driver staff are kind and friendly! If you buy a jrpass, you can make an appointment to pick up and drop off. It’s free at Kurayoshi Station and highway tolls at Tsuyama Station, but it’s worth it. Time is money. I gave a small gift before I finally left, looking forward to going again next time!

This is the most valuable hotel I've stayed in Japan so far. The rooms are spacious, the hot springs are excellent, the breakfast is rich, and the service attitude is especially good, which can be regarded as a benchmark in Japan. There is a free shuttle bus from the station to the hotel, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk. On the way, you will pass a wetland river with a walking path and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended!

There's no place to put your tray when eating, making it difficult to pick up your food. It seemed especially difficult for those with children. Also, there were a lot of people, considering the space, so it was difficult to pass each other while carrying a tray of food. You're supposed to bring a towel with you when bathing, but there's only one set, so if you want to take multiple baths, you have to carry a wet towel back to your room, and it's difficult to hang the wet towel up in the room.

This time I stayed with my foreign husband. The lobby was classy and the historic atmosphere inside the building was very nice. I was impressed that I could see the wide ocean from my Japanese-style room. It's a traditional hotel, so the building itself is old (we liked the atmosphere, on the contrary), but it was well-maintained and the tatami mats were clean. We had our meals in our room, and the variety of dishes served looked gorgeous, and my husband was so impressed by the sumptuous Japanese food that he took many photos. It was delicious! In the evening, I went to the lobby to see Washu Taiko perform. My husband was really excited about this and we really enjoyed watching it from beginning to end! When I was deciding on a hotel this time, I heard that there would be a performance by Washu Taiko, and I decided on it, and it was really impressive! The staff was very responsive and I was very satisfied with my stay! I think this is a very good hotel where even foreigners can feel the Japanese atmosphere! I definitely want to go again!

I made a reservation the day before my stay. There was only one room left and there were few pictures of the room, so I didn't expect too much to say clearly. However, the exterior of the building was beautiful, and even if I went inside and looked at the lobby, it was clean and very beautiful. The room was also displayed as one room left, but it was large enough for two people to stay, and the cleaning was well done and I was able to stay comfortably. The public bath was perfectly clean. The hotel is a bit away from town, but one may enjoy the ambience environment. Onsen facilities are good, nice breakfast with great choices. Dinner are set menu. quality up to standard and services are very good. The reception is very polite and exceptionally helpful, but need to use translator to communicate with us, we will enjoy more if direct communication in English makes available.
