Hotel Dengan Bar di Antwerp Province, Belgium

What we liked: Overall the hotel has ample, clean public space and the room was spacious with a separate toilet area, shower area and sink / vanity area. This made getting ready and using the facilities for two ppl easier. The room also had a fridge. The hotel is also right across the road from the main train station and a short 10 min walk to bus depot (Rooseveltplaats). So very good for traveling into and through Antwerp. For pre checkin and post checkout they offer private free lockers for your luggage. Through it is first come, first serve and they don’t have that many of them (we had no problems fitting a 40l bag, a 28l backpack and tote bag into one middle size storage cube). Small things that we didn’t like but can deal with: Limited in room amenities, there was no kettle or mugs, etc in the room. We were left a bottle of water but it wasn’t clear if it was free or not. The area around the hotel is a little sketchy (very quiet at night) but decently lite. They did require your room code to get back into the hotel after midnight. The hotel is close to the train station but farther from the old city. It is a good 20-25 min walk to that area. We are ok to walk, so didn’t mind much but it is further than some other hotels.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The room was amazing, the staff was very friendly. Maybe it took a time to wait for room service to bring a bottle of champagne. Great service. I recommend to book the valet service very easy!

Verzorgd hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Propere verzorgde kamers. Bar valt een beetje tegen, ontbijt is beperkt.

Hotel was fine, room was small but modern enough. My room wasn’t cleaned or serviced one day, which was disappointing. When I alerted reception they didn’t seem to consider it too big a deal. Some kind of acknowledgment would have been nice. Not great location if you wanted to head into the city, was a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. If I were back in Antwerp I’d likely look at alternatives but as a last resort it’s not that bad a hotel to stay in for business travel.

Сотрудники стараются говорить на вашем языке с помощью переводчика. Первый номер был стандартный на втором этаже. Но в нём не работал мини-бар и сейф. Переселили в другой номер на пятом этаже. Он был холодный, я терпела ночь. Сообщила о проблеме на рецепшен и горничная включила отопление. Отопление - это встроенная сплит-система. Отверстие находится в стене над столом. Если сидишь за столом - дует в плечи, если лежишь в кровати-дует в голову и никуда от этого не деться. Конечно, я понимаю, что это индивидуально, но я очень чувствую сквозняк. Форма комнаты необычная, с обходным корридором вокруг туалета. За счёт этого полезный размер комнаты меньше. Холодильник - мини-бар крошечный, в него почти ничего нельзя поставить. Предполагается, что гости должны питаться в ресторанах, но не всем это подходит по разным причинам. Содержимое мини-бара, естественно, платное. Тапочек, халата, зубной пасты, зубной щётки и лосьона для тела нет в номере. Из посуды два тонких стакана, почему-то один бокал в двухместном номере, для чая и кофе бумажные стаканчики. Есть кофемашина. 2 капсулы бесплатно в первый день. Если хотите больше - это будет стоить 2.50 каждая. Платная вода 6 евро 1 литр. Зато есть Библия в ящике стола. Верхний свет в комнате отсутствует. И вообще свет такой ”марроканский” интимный, невозможно ни читать, ни писать. Из хорошего -копии абстрактных картин, подходящих интерьеру. Залог, который вы вносите при вселении, возвращается не полностью. Из него вычитается городской налог 6 евро ежедневно.Есть бассеин, сауна и фитнесцентр за 7 евро день. Очень хорошо. Все работники рецепшена всегда рады вам помочь.

Overall, the stay was still smooth and the room had a comfortable feel, but there were a couple of things that stood out. The space itself was pleasant and easy to settle into, and most of the basics were in place. However, there was no power outlet by the bedside, which made charging devices a bit inconvenient. The bigger issue was the bed—not cleaned as it should have been, with the previous guest’s bedsheet still left on, which took away from the otherwise good experience. Everything else in the room worked fine, and the service was steady and polite, but those two points definitely left a mark on the stay.

Large rooms, well located. But much of the interior is outdated. Room furniture is cheap and very worn - it looks like it was reclaimed from a recycling tip to be honest. Staff are amazing though.

Disappointed regarding the electric car charges opposite the hotel entrance, should be made possible for guests whom stay to use those. Tried it with credit card, charge cards, Shell- Anwb, Bank. Room clean, bed good, amenities all there (iron & board , hairdryer) could do with some more clothes space! Breakfast a bit chaotic due to group(s)

Chambre superbe, bon oreiller et bonne literie. Avec toutefois, une toute petite bébête qui est venu me piquer les Pole à plusieurs reprises et qui qui a laissé la vie. Personnel fort sympathique, Attention, au restaurant, c’est bon, mais c’est pas donné, il faut compter un peu plus de 20 € pour une simple assiette. J’ai remarqué quand même un lavabo légèrement bouché en Chambre, 431, sinon très bon séjour dans l’ensemble

A beautifully presented hotel but the area felt a little dirty. Straight across from the train station with transport galore right outside (tram, metro, bikes, scotters and more!) Chinatown next door and the zoo as well however this area feels unloved and dirty. Walking down towards Meir and onwards to Grote Markt you see the real Antwerp with beautiful ornate buildings, markets and shops. Nighttime is when the whole place feels magical. The hotel room was clean and comfortable in size. Bathroom was lovely and the beds were fairly comfortable but the room was hot. The tv casting didn’t work and we could get any of the uk channels which was disappointing. The gym is ok - not massively well equipped and the pool is so cold. Sauna and steam good although not that hot in either. Recommend as a one night pit stop but wouldn’t want to be there for longer than a couple of days.
