"We only used the accommodation for two nights without breakfast or any other meals. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and the coffee was great. The decor was really nice with a jazz feel. It was very quaint and vintage.
I would imagine a stay in the summer would be very nice as the courtyard was very pretty and peaceful."

We had a great stay at the Crown Spa Hotel. All the staff were super friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean and fresh, we had a sea view. Meals in the Restaurant were very good value and excellent quality.
We had treatments in the Spa, the Girls were super friendly, welcoming and chatty.
We will certainly be returning.

Guest Userme ,my partner booked unexpectedly with the dog we booked a room with no window as it was cheaper but as we had the dog (extra10) we got a room with a window, the bathroom was small but nice and clean as was the room

Anonymous UserA solid 3 star experience but not more than that. They say they offer bike courier pick up for your luggage from the train station, but I didn't get sent any information about how to book it, every time I tried to call I couldn't get through to a human, and when I eventually found an email address to contact about it, no one replied. We were put in a room on the very top floor right after the heat wave, the temperature up there was still so warm, could feel it going up in as we ascended the stairs, but I couldn't open the window in the room very much without bugs flying in. They provided a small fan but it didn't do much. Our room was cramped, not really anywhere to store your luggage and the bathroom's only surface space to put your things was a ledge above the toilet which I didn't like. On the other hand, all the people we spoke to at reception were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient and the pantry was appreciated.

Beautiful hotel only 10 minutes walk from the city centre
Our room was clean and cosy
In the room was hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as tea/coffee facilities and an electric fan which was definitely needed with temps reaching 29 degrees 🥵
The outdoor area was stunning with lots of seating and little pods to dine in of an evening very pretty all lit up at night
All the staff were friendly and helpful
We will definitely return in the near future.

Guest UserNot as bad as other reviews suggest, yes it could do with a refurb but it is well priced,friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom. Comfy beds . Amazing views overlooking north bay, ideal as a base to explore. Didn’t eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on food. Don’t be put off by other bad reviews.

Guest UserStayed one night because of the marathon the next day. The staffs were friendly and procedures like Checkin are convenient. Great location, close to the station and hotel. However, the inability of the air conditioner to heat up made the room less comfortable. But I stillI had a good rest here and set a PB in the race the next day, so it was a good stay overall.

NilpThe hotel stay was really peaceful and quiet, very clean and spacious big room and space. The food was delicious and the waiters were so helpful and friendly. The staff helped us and gave a free chocolate box for my friend's birthday party.

Guest UserThe hotel is quite old and small. There's no elevator, so with luggage, you have to climb very narrow stairs. The room has no air conditioning, making it very hot in the summer. The toilet is also difficult to use; you have to press down with a lot of force. We booked a family room, and the extra bed was terrible – my child would sink into it while sleeping. For over 2,000, it's definitely not worth the price. The staff, however, were quite nice.

The Milner York features a grand late-Victorian facade built from distinctive yellow Scarborough brick. Inside, the stunning entrance lobby showcases an ornate historical dome and elegant monochrome tiled flooring. The hotel's crown jewel is a sweeping, central iron staircase surrounded by high ceilings. Public lounges beautifully blend historic opulence with plush chesterfield sofas and herringbone wood floors. However, multiple guests note that the contemporary bedrooms are noticeably smaller in size. This compact room layout is especially apparent within the modern ”Sidings” annexe.

Guest UserI only stayed for the one night but I was impressed with the pleasant demeanour and organisational skill of the staff. My room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Finally, I had a very enjoyable breakfast with all staff being very attentive. I would certainly stay again if ever I was in the area .
