"We liked the hotel so much we booked a second night.
We had a problem because our room was already booked and we had to pay 10% more for an upgraded room, bigger, with minibar and coffee machine, so well worth the 10%. This was one of the older rooms which we had called tired before but no more tiredness a lovely larger room with all the facilities and a view over the rooftops to the harbour.
This is a great little hotel and wee will be back."

KD TravellerHotel is located outside of the city centre. It takes 5 mins by bus and 25 mins by walk to reach the city centre. The bus stop is nearby. Not much food options near the hotel, only there are KFC and a fish and chips shop. The hotel is clean, room is cleaned every day. Breakfast is English style with same menu every day. The breakfast is served from 7 am which is late as we had to catch coach for daytrip which starts from city centre at 7:30. Though I had booked room with breakfast from Trip.com, the receptionist was asking to book the breakfast again as it seems trip.com doesn't share the breakfast booking with hotel. So receptionist asked to show the proof of breakfast booking which was awkward. Other than this minor issues, overall experience was good.

Upgrade. Some rooms have new bathrooms. Others in need. Limited hot water in the evening we were there. Showers in the spa changing rooms waste of space - non functional. The rooms were very comfortable. No complaints at all. Good cleanliness. It’s a 3 star hotel. It’s good value for what you get where. I’d definitely go & stay there again. Manage your expectations. You’re not going to luxury. You’re going to comfortable, country hotel that needs a lot of licks of paint & modernisation. Perfectly comfortable, pleasant stay. Don’t go if you want luxury. If you want down to earth, basic but very comfortable for all needs with good facilities, this is great.

Guest UserPerfect hotel if you’re visiting the area. Lovely location and views of the river and cathedral. Easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants.
Rooms are of a high standard.
Excellent drinks variety with the distillery and brewery on site.
Service is impeccable.
Great breakfast.

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

Questions emailed to the hotel prior to our arrival was answered quickly and was very helpful.
A very warm welcome on arrival by Miss Mary who was also the one who wa replying to our emails.
Friendly staff. Gave us great suggestions on what to see and do in the area.
We highly recommend this place to everyone.

K T Richard TanStayed here recently when i was touring Scotland. A very nice hotel. Location quite far from Inverness city centre. There is no expressway to and from this hotel at the airport. So the drive can be slow due to the small roads.
The close proximity to the airport does not present any aircraft noise problem. But I could hear my neighbour's hair dryer.
I like the size of the room and the bathroom. Larger than most hotels. I particularly like the walkin shower as my wife and I can't climb in and out of bath tubs.
The breakfast was great even though the variety of choices may not be as large as other Marriott brands of hotels. Fried eggs need to be ordered. The sunnyside up was the best i have eaten.
The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful.
You must register your car to avoid being charged. But I am sure with the many talents in the entire Marriott group, I am sure they can think of a better way to manage the parking system without their customers complaining on Internet.
Overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay.

Guest UserThis hotel located at the highland area of Scotland, I and my wife stayed at this hotel before we driving to Is of Skye.
The room is large and shower room is bright and clean enough. The beds and other equipment inside the room are satisfactory. My price include simple buffet breakfast which I think the food quality is good enough.
Only one disadvantage is, there's no lift and some rooms need to walk up and down staircase, if for elderly or too many luggage travelers, it may a bit inconvenient.

When we arrived all the available car parking was full and we ended up parking in the next street outside someone's house. The room was compact which we expected as we had booked a small room. Check in was very quick and information was given to us regarding the hotel and breakfast. Our room was very clean, if a little dated. When we switched on the TV it would not screen any programs. We phoned reception and they sent someone within five minutes to sort out the problem which turned out to be a fault with the aerial cable.
Breakfast was well organised and the service and food quality and selection was good.
Overall the hotel was convenient and ideal for us on a one night stay on our way back from the Hebrides and we would certainly stay here again if we do the same journey in the future

The room was clean, although the facilities appeared somewhat dated and could benefit from improvement. The breakfast offered a reasonable selection, but the quality was average. Wi-Fi and other amenities worked adequately, though not exceptionally well.
Overall, the hotel met basic expectations and provided acceptable value for money. While there were no major issues during the stay, there was also nothing particularly outstanding. It is a suitable option for travelers seeking a comfortable and straightforward stay.

My Mum and I stayed here for a night, we wanted something special and we had a lovely experience! This hotel may be old but I felt that was part of the charm, especially because you can pick up a paper at the desk which tells you all about the history of it (including how Mae West had a room there!).
The man at reception was lovely, as were the bar staff, and we had a great sleep in a cozy, nicely themed room with a great bathtub. My Mum especially appreciated the Bible being left in the bedside table as well. That may have been done by a guest but it was nice that the staff left it there nonetheless in case somebody wanted to read it. There were a number of little touches like that, and we had a garden view which was lovely.
Also the breakfast was included in our booking, and well worth it! I'd recommend this stay for anyone looking to have a nice night in the Scottish countryside!
