Hotel Dengan bar di Hanover, Jamaica

This was my second time at the hotel, the first in 2019. The rooms have deteriorated with a very strong smell of damp. After some heavy rain during my stay, i saw water running down the walls - my room was on the 3rd floor. The food, save for at the Indian and Posidan Al a carte restaurants were mediocre at best. On the positive side most of the staff were a joy to interact with. The location is amazing as is Sunset cove beach which is my favourite spot. The entertainment had improved tremendously from the DJ's to the singers. Such exceptional talent. Unfortunately I do not think I'll book a third stay due to the conditions of the room despite the cost and the phenomenal expense of transportation should you wish to leave the resort

Number one hotel in Jamaica, layout of restaurant with great ambiance, clean, stunning aesthetics, architectural design, rooms spacious, pretty and views is to die for, Robert Flames and Jamrock were our favorite, very responsive customer service, the bellman Tevin and Nicholas were awesome, and reception was excellent with check in and out, restock daily and ensure we are ok, we get check up calls to ensure that our stay is going well and The Blue Noye Piano Bar was excellent and the Silent Disco at the Sports Bar was awesome. Just one recommended improvement; The Blue Note Piano Bar entertainment finished way too early....have to be rushing from the restaurant to catch it. Since the days are so hot, most guest are indoors and would late evenings when the sun is down on the beach or pool and so it makes it difficult to have dinner so early. Some flexibility is needed. More music is needed at Euphoria...Jamrock music puts the guests in a vacation mood......some areas will be quiet but one section should be lively. A great hotel....keep up the high standards.

Check in went bizarrely unhinged and mismanaged. The next day management visited to rectify the horror. Overall service was above average in most departments. I rebooked because nothing is perfect and amendments were offered.

I went to the hotel on Wednesday September 16th for my birthday on the 17th. I was warmly greeted at the the Front desk by Amiel. Who advised me that we had been upgraded which was a great surprise. I also requested that I get a room on the ground floor as I did not want to deal with the stairs and he quickly accommodated my request. My room was very lovely and gave me the right setting for my birthday. I found the service excellent and the workers were very helpful and friendly especially Marviet aka Ms Hanover one of the servers at the Breakfast and Lunch buffet. She was caring and very pleasant and made us feel very special when she served us. The supervisor came and checked on us each time ensuring we were well cared for, she also got the ladies to sing Happy Birthday for me at lunch time and gave me a nice slice of cheese cake. The food was generally very good. I loved the variety and the choices they gave us eventhough they were reduced because of the effects of COVID_19 on their bookings. I also used the Spa service which was just great, Tamara the young lady who did my massage was top notch. I felt very relaxed afterwards. I also enjoyed the activities on the beach and of course Bingo with Jason and Ann-marie who took the time to sit and chat with us about the hotel activities. I was really impressed with how the staff all wore their masks and everyone ensured that we followed protocol regarding COID-19 procedures I did not feel at risk. I really want to thank the staff for making my birthday a very special one for me with great memories despite having to deal with COVID-19.
