We had a great time in Aomori. The hotel is in excellent location. So close to A factory and directly on top of Aomori station. It is so helpful when the weather is bad. Staffs are all very helpful and the onsen is perfect after a long day out. I would definitely come to this hotel again.
Excellent location next to the JR station. Room is spacious, superior bathroom with double sinks. Breakfast is just amazing! Coin laundry very convenient
Room is spacious. Have a sofa and coffee desk. This good for us to pack our luggage.Bed is comfortable for a good night sleep. Room have a good view of the sea. Breakfast japanese style with lot of varieties. Parking at hotel car park. Parking charge paid at reception when check-out.
We love the view from our room on the 7th floor. The free wifi is fast in the room, around the hotel, and in the restaurant. We had buffet dinner and breakfast included room rate. We enjoyed both meals. All travelers must added meals with their room because there is no restaurant or convenience stores within 10km radius. There is a gift shop and convenience stores located inside the hotel. We recommend this hotel; and we’ll come back again.
We thought it's going to be fresh in August up the mountain but it wasn't. Very hot and without air-conditioning you'll be suffering. Rooms are tiny and it barely fit 4 people. Road to get there is rough so make sure you have an off road car (the last 5 min only). The onsen is insanely beautiful especially the women's. Food was pre-served and left out in the heat to stand. Didn't look particularly appealing. Shared bathrooms.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right inside the train station, with the front desk on the 3rd floor of the station itself. This was a lifesaver, especially on a snowy day, as I didn't have to drag my luggage far. Downstairs, there's a bus terminal where you can catch buses to Hakkoda-san and the Aomori Museum of Art.
The onsen (hot spring) is also excellent, but try to avoid the evening rush hour. After a relaxing soak, grab an ice cream from the fridge at the front desk and head to the lounge on the same floor for some juice or a beer – it's pure bliss!
The service was outstanding, especially from a long-haired Japanese gentleman and a South Asian woman with glasses at the front desk. Both spoke fluent English and were incredibly helpful, practically fulfilling every request.
The only minor downside was the daily housekeeping. I had a used contact lens that I'd left on the large bath towel, and the next day, it was still there, untouched. It seems the cleaning wasn't very thorough.
All in all, if you're visiting Aomori, you can't go wrong with this hotel – it's a guaranteed great stay!
GGuest UserThe JR bus from Hachinohe drops you right at the hotel entrance, which is super convenient, especially for independent travelers. In winter, it's best to reserve your spot for 300 JPY (JR Pass East Japan is accepted). The bus makes two 10-minute stops where you can hop off and take photos. The hotel has a charming, vintage feel to it.
Ddreamcatcher68It's best to be prepared for power outages. Public toilets and water rooms are standard features of traditional Japanese B&Bs. The Japanese breakfast is good. Please note that the check-in time is before 9 pm. If you can't arrive, be sure to contact the owner in advance. The B&B is on the mountain, so be careful when driving at night. There are no street lights.
GGuest UserBreakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.
TThanathip MoolvongAlthough I chose this ryokan as alternative place but it turned out it is my best stay so far. It is not far from Kuroishi and it is accessible by public transport.
Room is very spacious and has both a bathroom and a toilet.
Onsen is good. It has both indoor and outdoor ones. Usually it is not busy.
Food was great both dinner and breakfast.
Free flow of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also included. Very generous.
Staffs are very friendly, although their English are very limited.
Extra 150 yen per person for onsen tax. Cash term only.
Cashless payment is available.
KKaka daydreamingHotel location is excellent, convenient for self-driving passengers!
The lobby is decorated in a style that looks directly at Shiwatian Lake and the scenery is first-class!
But the hotel counter staff, the service attitude is cold, the explanation is not clear, just ask us to log in to the Line. . Ask, and inquire about hotel equipment ~
In addition, the hotel's one-boot and two-boot food is completely different from other hot spring hotels. Our dinner that day was Suuxi roast, but only the refrigerated Udon, vegetables and seafood packages (only three pills, a refrigerated shrimp and a sail libei), for adult passengers, the portion is slightly insufficient. And the three pills are partial and have no bites. It can be said that they are the most unpalatable balls I have ever eaten in my life. Fortunately, the counter has a free mini cup noodles, which is still a good experience.
The room we stayed in was large, but the bathroom was relatively simple. It is recommended that guests use the shower equipment provided by the hot springs when soaking in the hot springs!
Instead, breakfast, provide a lot of food materials for passengers to make their own sandwiches, eat healthy and simple ~
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right by the JR station. This was incredibly convenient given the heavy snow in Hirosaki, as I didn't have to drag my luggage far. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was excellent. It's also very close to Hirosaki Castle, within walking distance or you can catch a bus right outside. There's even a direct bus to Morioka from the front of the hotel, which I'd consider for my next trip – super convenient without having to take the Shinkansen!
GGuest UserThis hotel is right next to the ski resort. The snow quality is excellent, and on a clear day, you can even see Hokkaido across the Sea of Japan from the summit. It seems that over half of the guests are international visitors.
I didn't encounter a single foreign guest who was loud or bothersome.
The staff all appear to speak both English and Chinese.
While the variety at the buffet might be a bit limited, they do ensure it's always replenished. The food is tasty. Disposable slippers are provided, but they're very thin, so you feel the cold directly. I saw many people who had brought their own flip-flops.
GGuest UserThis is really a great hotel. Staff are all nice, hotel’s facility is also good. Free drink and snacks are available in hotel lounge. Highly recommended to anyone who planned to tour in Aomori!
GGuest UserIt's true what they say about an inn with a spectacular view.
The heavy rain that was falling when I checked in stopped the next morning, and I was able to gaze at the autumn-like sky and sea in front of my room for a while.
It had been a while since I'd stayed in a Japanese-style room, and I was able to enjoy local ingredients for both dinner and breakfast, making for a truly enjoyable holiday in Aomori.
It was also great that I was within walking distance of the prefectural aquarium.
There was a live Tsugaru shamisen performance in the evening, which really immersed me in the romantic atmosphere of travel and exceeded my expectations.
This is an inn that I would recommend to others.
