Right above Aomori Station, this hotel's location is super convenient, with direct access to JR from the lobby. It's often fully booked, so the hot spring is usually quite busy no matter when you go, but they do have real apples in the onsen! There's a hot bath and a slightly cooler one, both very comfortable. The spa, yoga, and dining are mostly extra charges, but there are plenty of activities. The rooms don't have bathtubs, which makes sense since everyone's expected to use the large hot spring. The facilities and equipment are quite new, the bed is very comfortable, and you can see all the best parts of Aomori from your window, including the bay and the bridge.

The Towada Winter Story Festival was a total bust, but Lake Towada itself was an unexpected delight – absolutely stunning. By chance, I even hiked a portion of the Oirase Stream in the morning. The weather, with snow one minute and clear skies the next, added so much character to the lake's scenery. The hotel room was spacious, and it was quite an interesting check-in experience, using very old-fashioned keys and a metal door.

It's best to be prepared for power outages. Public toilets and water rooms are standard features of traditional Japanese B&Bs. The Japanese breakfast is good. Please note that the check-in time is before 9 pm. If you can't arrive, be sure to contact the owner in advance. The B&B is on the mountain, so be careful when driving at night. There are no street lights.

Nestled on the slopes of Hakkoda Mountain, this hotel offered a peaceful and quiet retreat. The facilities were excellent, and the French multi-course dinner, in particular, was outstanding. The onsen (hot spring) facilities were also fantastic, making it a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating trip. I'm already looking forward to returning with my family.

The tea and coffee service for the meal are delicious and surprised. I thought the service was very good for the price. It was a surprise even though the futon was laid. Very happy. It was a service that I wanted to dive as it was. The bath is far away, but the morning bath is very beautiful and amazing. I was able to spend a leisurely time. Also, I knew that there were 33 lakes in the poster in the building, and I went around the next day. There was a good response. I think it is a good hotel for the price.

Although I chose this ryokan as alternative place but it turned out it is my best stay so far. It is not far from Kuroishi and it is accessible by public transport. Room is very spacious and has both a bathroom and a toilet. Onsen is good. It has both indoor and outdoor ones. Usually it is not busy. Food was great both dinner and breakfast. Free flow of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also included. Very generous. Staffs are very friendly, although their English are very limited. Extra 150 yen per person for onsen tax. Cash term only. Cashless payment is available.

This hotel faces Lake Towada, offering a beautiful and quiet environment with a real vacation vibe. The gentleman at the front desk was also very friendly. The room facilities are quite new and modern, so it doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. The mattress was especially soft and comfortable. There's also a small indoor bath in the common area. The only downside was the breakfast, which was quite simple – just toast and salad. It would have been perfect if the food matched the quality of the stay.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was large and clean. The hotel is conveniently located with a bus stop and train station right downstairs, making travel easy. The hotel pub was excellent – good drinks and great value, so good we went two nights in a row.

We love the view from our room on the 7th floor. The free wifi is fast in the room, around the hotel, and in the restaurant. We had buffet dinner and breakfast included room rate. We enjoyed both meals. All travelers must added meals with their room because there is no restaurant or convenience stores within 10km radius. There is a gift shop and convenience stores located inside the hotel. We recommend this hotel; and we’ll come back again.
