The staff are very helpful and speak good English, making check-in and communication smooth. A simple breakfast of toast and coffee is included, like the orange jam!
The location is convenient, just a short walking distance from the main train station, and there’s even a free foot spa nearby — a lovely bonus!
Overall, a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended."

KKikimama116I had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel. Every aspect of the experience exceeded expectations — the room was impeccably clean, elegantly designed, and exceptionally comfortable. The staff were warm, attentive, and provided truly outstanding service throughout my stay.
The breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a refined selection of high-quality, fresh, and beautifully presented options that made each morning a pleasure. The location is ideal, and the facilities are superbly maintained, contributing to an overall sense of sophistication and relaxation.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a premium and memorable stay, and I very much look forward to returning in the future.

Service : All staff are helpful and polite. Welcome message everywhere.
Food : tasty and fresh dishes to let you taste Japan everyday. In addition, they introduce to you different sake with very good price. Lastly, staff will introduce to you different dishes so as to understand Japan more.

11102665161The hotel has a small house across from the fish market for guest registration, where you wait for a small boat to take you to the island. I'm not sure why no one informed us about this after booking on Trip.com. No emails, no texts, no in-app messages. After arriving in Kii Katsuura, we had to use Google Maps to figure out how to get to the island ourselves. We were directed to a very secluded pier, the closest one to the island, but the hotel's boat didn't even stop there. We had to call the front desk, and they directed us back to the fish market to find the registration office. I'm very sure that, even on the day of my check-in, there was no information on Trip.com about how to get to the island.
The hotel itself is incredibly thoughtful. There's a hiking trail that takes about 15 minutes to reach a mountain observatory and a foot bath, for which towels are even provided. Both the male and female indoor and outdoor baths are excellent. We also tried the private bath at the cape, which was also great; all the baths are genuinely very close to the sea. The women's bath on the second floor even has a bath where you can lie down, and the outdoor rotemburo in the women's bath features a cave landscape, which is very unique. Dinner is a sukiyaki that you cook yourself, and the meat is good. Breakfast includes three small platters and a buffet, which is also very generous. At different times, there's free-flowing beer, plum wine, sake, and ice cream. The only minor drawback is that there are no vending machines in the hotel; if you want juice, you have to buy it from the first-floor shop before it closes. Overall, I highly recommend staying here because the hotel is simply outstandingly thoughtful.

GGuest UserReading the reviews, I knew there was a slope leading up to the hotel, so I took a taxi when I arrived, which cost 2200 yen. It would definitely be tough to climb that slope with heavy luggage. The hotel is downhill from the beach, and the top-floor hot spring bath and breakfast restaurant offer great views. Breakfast was decent; there aren't many dining options in Shirahama, so having breakfast at the hotel was a good solution. You can walk to Sandanbeki Cliff and Senjojiki from the hotel, and even to the spot for photographing the sunrise over Engetsu Island. I didn't really notice the service, but overall, the stay was pleasant.

HHuyanhuyuRight outside Kushimoto Station, you can spot the hotel's shuttle bus (there's a timetable, and it aligns with most Kuroshio train services).
The hotel is a bit dated, but the cleanliness is decent. The room was very spacious, though the furniture is old. The guest lounge in front of the huge floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby offers a variety of free beverages and overlooks the sea.
We booked a half-board plan with dinner and breakfast. The buffet dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and we feasted on tuna sashimi until we couldn't eat anymore.
Our mountain-view room overlooked a baseball training field. Watching the young people swinging their bats and hearing the crisp sound at sunset was very relaxing.
The public bath was pretty standard, nothing particularly special.
There's a circular bus service outside the hotel that goes between Kushimoto Station and various attractions, but the buses are infrequent and the waits are long, so I'd recommend taking a taxi instead.
Next to the hotel, there's a small chapel that instantly gave me South California vibes...

GGuest UserThis is a extension of the shirahama key terrace hotel next door but at a affordable price. U get to use all the amazing onsen facilities which has outdoor bath facing the ocean. Take a dip at the outdoor foot bath in morning after breakfast. The rooms are modern industrial style so it’s kind of bare looking, ok for me just to sleep. It also has a large common area with full kitchen. U can buy food from supermarket and cook super and breakfast yourself here.

GGuest UserI spent three days in Shirahama, staying here for two nights. The hotel service, food, and onsen experience were absolutely fantastic! The owner is Chinese, and the staff speaks Mandarin. The service was the best I've ever experienced. Compared to the expensive ocean view and onsen rooms recommended on Douban, it was incredibly cost-effective. Free shuttle service to Shirahama Station was provided. Soaking in the onsen at night with the sea breeze was wonderful, and afterwards, there was delicious ice cream! Meals need to be booked a day in advance and there's a high-quality seafood selection. The sukiyaki set meal is probably the highest-rated restaurant in Shirahama and definitely worth trying! The room provided tea and teaware, which was great, and offered a partial sea view. The decor was very tasteful!
My trip to Shirahama has come to a perfect end!

XXunshumanxingThe biggest thing is that it is very close to Tianbian Station. It is very convenient to take the early bus to Kumano Ancient Road. The service attitude is also very good. When you go hiking, the suitcase can be stored at the front desk.

Kind hosts who speaks a reasonable amount of English. Dinner smelled delicious but I didn’t go for it because I wanted to try the other restaurant in the area.
If I return to kawayu, I will come back here.
