It was my first trip to Kampot so I searched for a hotel which was close to the city center, with good reviews, spacious rooms, at a good price. Chateau Kampot fit perfectly with what I was looking for. The hotel was newly opened in the beginning of 2026. I like the colonial style architecture combined with a very modern design. I especially liked the arched wall openings throughout the interior and exterior of the building. I booked the Executive Suite for my 4 night stay. The check in process upon my arrival was very smooth and pleasant. After check in, the person at the reception (front) desk provided me with a map of the city and pointed out several recommended places to visit. My room was very spacious and ultra clean. It came with a couple of lounge chairs to relax in and a nice balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the fresh air and views of the city. My favorite part of the whole room was the bed. The linens were so crisp and clean; the mattress had an additional pad which felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. I travel quite a bit and sometimes stay at luxury hotels and the bed at Chateau Kampot was one of the best I slept in. I enjoyed the very nice pool which included a jacuzzi and a small peaceful water fall. The pool was long enough to swim some laps for exercise. There was a small fitness center with dumbbells, weightlifting bench, and 2 cardio machines to keep my exercise routine going during my stay. There is also a nice spa in the hotel with massages and body scrubs & wraps at a reasonable price. The hotel also gives you a complimentary 30 minute massage in addition to 30% discounts on other spa services at the time of my stay. The breakfast was well prepared and delicious. You select off the menu with either Western or Asian offerings. My favorite was the eggs Benedict; the fact that it was done perfectly shows the skill of the chef. The coffee brewed with local beans was also of excellent quality. The staff members at the hotel are very professional and customer focused. The gentleman at the reception desk were always friendly and pleasant. They were also eager to help with anything to make your stay in Kampot enjoyable. One gentleman at the reception desk arranged a tuk tuk driver for a day tour of Bokor Mountain. The driver was so friendly and spoke perfect English which made for a wonderful day. This hotel is family-owned and focused on providing their guests with the best experience. During my stay, two family members on separate occasions approached me to see how my stay was going and asked for feedback on how they could improve their hotel and services. This personal interaction with their guests display their desire to make their hotel the best it could be. I highly recommend the Chateau Kampot and will definitely stay there again for my next trip to Kampot.

My family had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The room was large, had comfortable beds, and opened up onto a balcony with a view of Kampot town.....the only thing it lacked was a small fridge to keep food and drinks in. The hotel was in an excellent position; situated on a corner and with a Chinese restaurant next to reception, it was close to many cafes and restaurants up and down the bisecting streets.

I recently stayed at Kampot Green Mango Bungalow for two nights and it was truly a memorable experience. The bungalows are located about 7 km from the center of Kampot, with a taxi or tuk-tuk ride to town costing around 12,000–14,000 riel. What really sets this place apart is the staff — especially the owners. They are simply incredible: tireless, generous, and welcoming beyond words. The care and attention they put into their service made our stay feel personal and truly special. The accommodation itself is comfortable and peaceful, providing a relaxing environment after a day exploring Kampot. The bungalow I stayed in is supposedly the most expensive and “premium” option they offer. While it is spacious, the cleanliness could be improved: there was noticeable dust, cobwebs on headboards and bedside tables, and spiders in the bathroom and on the ceiling. This is the only negative aspect, and it’s worth noting that better cleaning would make the experience fully match the premium price. Overall, despite this small issue, my stay was wonderful. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a friendly, homey stay, Kampot Green Mango Bungalow is highly recommended — especially because of the owners’ warmth and dedication

Such a nice little place, wish we could have had more time here! Great atmosphere and staff are very friendly, helped us rent a bike as we weren't in town centre. Pool is lovely, hot tub doesn't actually get hot though.

Peam Snea Resort is a peaceful and refreshing getaway, perfect for anyone looking to relax in a calm natural setting. The resort is very clean and well-maintained, which makes the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The service stands out, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. There are also plenty of activities to keep you entertained, whether you prefer relaxing or exploring. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, enjoy good service, and experience both tranquility and fun in one location.

I stayed at Montagne Residence over the weekend and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well maintained. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, which made it a perfect place to relax. Highly recommend Montagne Residence for anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing getaway.

I absolutely loved my stay at this resort. The facilities are exceptional — from the stunning swimming pool and the spacious, flower-filled yard with fruit trees, to the well-equipped gym and charming restaurant that serves delicious foods whole day. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully arranged, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. What truly made our experience special was the hospitality of the staff. In particular, I’d like to mention one of staff Saly, who greeted us with warmth and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly arranged. He even connected us with a friendly and English-speaking Khmer tuk-tuk driver who took us on a fantastic private day tour to five major landmarks at a very reasonable price. They helped us to book tickets to Phnom Penh and to use their motorcycle to the downtown. I’ve uploaded plenty of photos to capture the beauty of this resort — it truly leaves a lasting impression.

Took a couple friends with me. We all loved the environment and ambiance. Being able to have private access to the beach was amazing and I'd go stay here again. It also looks like if you wanted to come for the day you can pay $5 (20,000 riel) per person for the day. We really enjoyed our stay here! First of all, the atmosphere is cozy and safe. The staff are very friendly and attentive to all requests. You feel very welcome. The pool is simply gorgeous! Warm and very clean. Swimming in the evening under the stars is a delight! Very good rooms (all the houses are two-storied). VIP rooms are located right by the pool, but the rest are no worse (perhaps even more suitable for those who want more privacy). The rooms have a refrigerator, strong air conditioning, and really hot water in the shower. The hotel opened recently, so everything is new. Staff take care of the territory every day. The only thing is that the city center is about ten minutes away by transport. But it's possible to rent a bike or use a taxi.And you can relax in a not busy, quiet area. I can really recommend this resort!

The stay at the Old Cinema Hotel in Kampot was absolutely unique. This place has an amazing climate combination of the history of the old cinema with modern comfort creates an atmosphere I have never met in any other hotel. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and refurbished in every detail. The service deserves a huge distinction smiley, helpful and always ready to advise what to see in the area. Breakfasts are fresh and really tasty, and the whole facility is perfectly clean and careful. Location is also great: calmly, but only a few minutes walk from the center of Kampot, restaurant and nightlife. It's a hotel with a soul in which you feel like home right away.
