First of all, I want to thank every staff member at Tunamaya for their hospitality, professionalism, and attentive service to guests. Secondly, I'd like to express my gratitude to the wonderful chefs who cooked absolutely everything deliciously! Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy fresh, grilled seafood! Thank you for the themed evenings; you truly aimed to surprise us, and you succeeded! I wholeheartedly wish you prosperity and many more grateful tourists. Now, let me tell you about our stay. A vacation at Tunamaya isn't what you'd call a typical beach holiday, as popular with Russian tourists. But, of course, people don't come to Tioman for that anyway. The nature here is incredibly beautiful, with views of the jungle and mountains – every time I walked to the restaurant from our bungalow, my heart soared with gratitude and awe at the beauty! It truly is a vacation for the soul! The resort also offers diving and snorkeling equipment, a glass-bottom boat, and kayaks. There's an outdoor sports area where my husband exercised daily. And, of course, the cool, scenic poolside overlooking the sea was a great pleasure. We also discovered a beach near and beyond the second, currently inactive pier. It's perfectly fine for swimming in clear water and taking beautiful photos. The views of the massive boulders and monoliths reminded us of the Seychelles, only the sea there was always calm. My husband and elder son also hiked through the village to the waterfall, bringing back many beautiful photos and impressions! As for suggestions – I'd recommend sprucing up and beautifying the grounds. Some railings along the beach path are broken, and there are old pieces of furniture lying around. I also wasn't very pleased with the condition of the toilet near the pool; I sincerely hope you find the means to do some cosmetic renovations there. A pleasant bonus of being on the island was encountering the mischievous monkeys and monitor lizards. Despite the repellents, they found ways to roam the grounds, and that's wonderful because we are guests in their home! They are the true aboriginals of Tioman. Overall, we had a pleasant family stay at Holiday Villa Cherating. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was ample parking space available. The kids really enjoyed the water playground, although it is on the smaller side, and the main swimming pool was great as well. Breakfast was simple with limited options, but reasonable and expected for a 3-star resort. Recommended for a short family getaway!

Great short stay, comfortable, easy and fast check in. Nice, decent pool overseeing Kuantan town. The EV charger was a great facility and we were able to charge our car overnight easily. Too bad the spa was no longer open, nor the sauna. We would have enjoyed that during our stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at B&J Tioman Dive Resort on Tioman Island, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, it was clear why B&J has built such a strong reputation among divers and travelers alike. One of the first things that impressed me was the cleanliness of the accommodation. The room was well-maintained, comfortable, and spotless throughout my stay. Housekeeping standards were consistently high, making it easy to relax after a day of diving and exploration. The resort grounds were also kept clean and tidy, creating a welcoming and pleasant environment that reflected the professionalism of the entire team. What truly made the experience special, however, was the people. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. Whether it was assistance at the reception, advice on local activities, or help with dive logistics, the team always greeted guests with a smile. The dive instructors and divemasters deserve particular praise. They were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Tioman’s underwater world. Their enthusiasm was infectious and helped create a fun and relaxed atmosphere both above and below the surface. As a diver, I greatly appreciated the balance that B&J strikes between enjoyment and safety. Every dive was well-organized and professionally conducted. Safety briefings were thorough, equipment checks were carried out carefully, and the dive guides remained attentive throughout the dives. Despite maintaining high safety standards, the team ensured that the dives remained enjoyable and memorable. Their familiarity with local dive sites allowed us to maximize our underwater experience while feeling secure at all times. It is reassuring to dive with professionals who clearly prioritize guest safety without compromising the fun and excitement of exploring the reefs. Another highlight of staying at B&J was the abundance of delicious food available nearby. The resort’s location provides easy access to a variety of eateries offering local Malaysian dishes, fresh seafood, Western options, and refreshing drinks. After a day spent underwater, it was wonderful to have so many excellent dining choices within walking distance. The combination of great diving and great food made every day on the island something to look forward to. Overall, my stay at B&J Tioman Dive Resort was outstanding. The clean accommodation, warm and friendly staff, professional dive team, strong safety culture, and excellent food options combined to create an unforgettable holiday experience. I would not hesitate to recommend B&J to anyone visiting Tioman Island, whether they are experienced divers, new divers, or simply looking for a relaxing island getaway. We had high expectations for this iconic YTL property, but sadly it fell short. While the colonial charm and beautiful surroundings are undeniable, the overall experience didn’t match the premium price. Service was inconsistent throughout our stay. Some staff were warm and attentive, while others seemed indifferent, making the experience feel uneven. For a luxury hotel, we expected much more attention to detail. The property itself is elegant, but parts of it are showing their age and could benefit from refurbishment. Although the atmosphere is peaceful, it wasn’t enough to make up for the service shortcomings. Food also not to expectation .Nasi lemak , the rice is undercooked. Coffee is inconsistent . First Serve was good . Second pot was burnt . Their high tea, sandwiches we stale . Only admirable was their scone with clotted cream & strawberry jam were excellent . Overall, it wasn’t the memorable luxury escape we had hoped for. There are certainly positives, but considering the price, we left feeling disappointed rather than impressed.

The room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked very well, making the stay comfortable. The staff were also friendly and provided good service. However, it seems that the hotel has been operating for quite some time, and many of the facilities are in need of maintenance. First, the shower had excellent water pressure, but the drainage was extremely poor. It seemed like the drain was clogged, as the water quickly accumulated and flooded the shower area. Second, the bathtub stopper was broken. No matter how many times I pressed it, it wouldn’t close, so I couldn’t fill the bathtub with water. On top of that, the hot water for the bathtub wasn’t hot enough. I had even bought a bath bomb specially for this stay, but I couldn’t use it at all, which was quite disappointing. Third, the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. There was a noticeable amount of dust in several areas. Fourth, the toilet had yellow stains, and the toilet seat looked old and dirty. I would recommend replacing the toilet seat to improve the overall cleanliness and appearance. Lastly, the breakfast was disappointing. The food was not very tasty. Overall, while the room was spacious, the air conditioning was great, and the staff provided good service, the maintenance, cleanliness, and breakfast quality need significant improvement. Considering the price, I don’t think it offers good value for money. 先说优点，房间很宽敞，冷气也很够冷，住起来算是舒服，工作人员的服务态度也很好。 不过，酒店可能开业已有一段时间，感觉有不少设施需要维修和改善： 1. 淋浴的水压很大，这点很好，但排水非常差，应该是排水孔堵塞了，洗澡时水很快就积满整个淋浴区。 2. 浴缸的塞子坏了，无论怎么按都无法把排水口关上，所以完全不能蓄水。而且浴缸的热水也不够热，我还特地买了 bath bomb，结果完全用不上，有点可惜。 3. 房间清洁做得不够仔细，一些角落积了不少灰尘。 4. 马桶有明显发黄的污渍，马桶坐垫看起来也比较旧、脏，建议更换新的坐垫，会让整体卫生观感好很多。 5. 早餐选择不多，味道也比较普通，没有达到这个价位应有的水准。 整体来说，虽然房间空间大、冷气舒适，员工服务也不错，但设施维护、清洁和早餐品质都有待改善，以这个价格来说，我觉得性价比并不高。

The standard room is quite small and very bare minimum, but it has everything you need, including an iron. I especially loved the water pressure and the hot water temperature was really good! However, the room wasn’t the cleanest, especially underneath the bed, which was quite dusty. It was honestly a little gross when some of our things rolled underneath and we had to retrieve them. That said, for the price, it’s actually quite affordable and still okay overall. The best part about this hotel is the location. it’s close to the beach, has a pool, nightly fire shows, and there are also ATV and horse-riding activities nearby. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a budget-friendly family stay. The food, however, isn’t really worth paying for. Better to eat outside.

a 6/10 stay for me bcs some facilities aren’t accessible if you dont pay for it. the pool is crowded with people on weekends you barely have enough space to swim. sky pool at hard rock requires you to buy food and drinks then only can enter. the tiles are cracked and you dont get to see much of the carpet sky even though i paid for mountain view. the most annoying part is the receptionist they take HOURS to give you your room key theres a long line

This is family and kids friendly hotel, everything is good and fine. But for breakfast for 3days stays is the same menu I'm expecting other kind of fried noodle or nasi goreng variation on different days. English breakfast also the same menu. The most enjoyable thing is the kids pool because that is the only kids activities can do other than going to the kids gym. But overall the hotel is clean and really quiet. So peaceful. And hotel management can plan on more beach activities like jet ski or surfing activities. The beach is wavy and not safe for recreational swimming.

Special thanks to the concierge team who assisted us with arrangements and recommendations with a warm smile. 📍 Location & Convenience Perfectly connected to SkyAvenue, casinos, and attractions via covered walkways — so easy to get around, even in rain. Yet it remains quiet and private, a true luxury escape above the bustle. 🍽️ Dining & Facilities The facilities are world-class — elegant lobby, relaxing spa, and excellent dining options right within the hotel. Breakfast was high-quality with plenty of variety, and service there was equally attentive.
