Upon arrival, I encountered unprofessional conduct at reception. Despite the desk being empty, two staff members failed to acknowledge me appropriately, avoided eye contact, and instructed me to wait in a dismissive manner. Although self check-in machines were available, no guidance was offered. I had to identify and request to use them myself, receiving only minimal and inattentive responses.
During my stay, I requested a basic item (a box of tissues) from housekeeping, which was never delivered. This reflects a failure to fulfill a simple and reasonable guest request.
More concerning was the inconsistency regarding late check-out terms. I had agreed with a morning receptionist (Amy) on a late check-out until 3:00 PM for €35. However, when I reconfirmed this with the night receptionist, I was informed that check-out was only free until 1:00 PM and that each additional hour would cost €50. This contradiction indicates a lack of internal coordination and transparency. As a result, I was compelled to leave earlier than planned.
Additionally, my interaction with breakfast/lounge staff was inappropriate and unprofessional. I was met with visible irritation (sighing, dismissive tone), condescending remarks regarding my order, and poor service delivery. The coffee provided was of unacceptable quality (containing grounds and served in a visibly dirty cup). A request for almond milk was handled with reluctance and discourtesy. The final remark, “enjoy your coffee,” was delivered in a sarcastic and unprofessional manner.
Importantly, I also encountered a safety issue in the room: I found a piece of broken glass on the floor at the entrance of the bathroom. This represents a clear lapse in cleaning standards and poses a risk of injury, which is unacceptable in any hotel environment.
While I acknowledge that the room was otherwise clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning, and that the bathroom facilities and breakfast offering met expected standards, the overall experience was significantly undermined by repeated service failures and the aforementioned safety concern.
The pattern of behavior observed suggests deficiencies in staff training, internal communication, quality control, and basic service standards. This falls below what can reasonably be expected from a hotel operating under a recognized brand.
I trust this complaint will be taken seriously and reviewed internally to prevent similar experiences for future guests.
Artived at 11pm took over an hour to find my room. Two customers prior to me had been sent to rooms that had customers in bed. I assume they over book the hotel, hoping people cancelled or dont turn up. The hotel had an electrical charge noise and feelnabout it. Possibly from the airport.
Super schönes und süßes Zimmer. Man hat in der Nacht 2-3 mal einen Zug hupen hören, aber nicht wirklich dramatisch. Beim Frühstück waren die Brötchen leider fast leer und die Kaffeemaschine ging nicht, den konnte man sich aber bei der Rezeption machen lassen, da die dort eine Maschine haben. Die Dame hinterm Tresen beim Einchecken konnte so gut wie kein Deutsch. Wir können Englisch aber viele bestimmt nicht. Wenn ich mir ein Hotel in DE buche, hätte ich gerne eine deutschsprachige Person als Ansprechpartner für alle Fälle. Aber 100€ für 2 Personen mit Frühstück und Parkplatz (10€) sehr gut. Gerne wieder
Uns hat der Aufenthalt im Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Das Frühstücksbufett war sehr vielfältig, das Personal freundlich und unser Zimmer war ordentlich und sauber.
Die Lage des Premium Zimmers war sehr gut.
Leider war der Service enttäuschend.
Ich kenne Tropical Islands sehr gut, das war bereits mein 18. Aufenthalt. Trotz vorheriger schriftlicher Zusage, dass wir unser Gepäck bzw. unsere Sporttaschen an der Rezeption abgeben können, war dies vor Ort nicht möglich. Stattdessen mussten wir unser Gepäck in Umkleidespinten aufbewahren, bis wir ins Zimmer konnten – 2,50 € pro Tag, insgesamt 3 Tage. Trotz mehrfachem Hinweis, dass ich extra nachgefragt hatte, hieß es nur, dass nur „große Gepäckstücke“ angenommen werden. Dann sollte man Zusagen künftig klar formulieren oder direkt Maße verlangen. So fühlt man sich als Stammgast veräppelt

Pros: Reviewers love how quiet the rooms are due to excellent soundproofing. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and feature comfortable beds. The property also boasts an on-site gym, a sauna/spa area, and a highly praised restaurant that serves robust breakfast buffets and dinner options like ribeye steaks.
Cons: Some guests feel the digital kiosk system lacks a ”human touch,” noting that the lobby can feel cold when there are no physical staff members standing by to welcome you. There are occasional complaints regarding the speed of staff communication if you have specific dietary requests (e.g., gluten-free breakfast items).

Great value for a quick airport stay!
The MOXY Berlin Airport is literally a 5-minute walk from the terminal – perfect for early flights or late arrivals. The vibe is young, fun, and modern with colorful decor, a cool bar/lounge area that’s open 24/7, and friendly staff who actually seem to enjoy their job.
Rooms are compact (typical MOXY style) but super smart – comfy bed, powerful shower, fast Wi-Fi, big TV with casting options, and USB ports everywhere. Everything felt clean and new. Breakfast is decent for the price (continental style with good coffee), and they have grab-and-go options if you’re in a rush.
Only small downside: the walls are a bit thin, so you might hear neighbors if it’s a loud night, but earplugs are provided (nice touch!).
For the price (often under €90 even in high season), it’s honestly one of the best airport hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe. Highly recommended if you want style, convenience, and don’t need a huge room. Will definitely come back

SSummer-coolWarm service, great breakfast, although far from the city, there are 2 big supermarkets opposite the hotel, convenient shopping. The accommodation is clean and tidy, although it is an old-fashioned door key, but the sense of security is still enough.
∆∆.zoneI had a very satisfying stay at the IntercityHotel Berlin Airport BER Terminal 1+2. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to the airport. It's a short walk from the terminal, which is perfect for travelers catching early flights or arriving late.
The room was clean and tidy, and quite spacious. The twin business room had comfortable beds and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a very quiet night's rest. The facilities were comprehensive, and the overall environment was modern and comfortable.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful; both check-in and check-out were smooth. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and tasted great.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with everything, from the location and room comfort to the service. If I'm ever flying from Berlin Airport again, I'll definitely choose to stay here.

DDiver MikelThe hotel is near to the Airport BER in a region with several hotels and B+B almost on the meadows. Despite this they still charge you for about 30 Euros parking fee per night. The room is clean but tiny and very basic amenities. There is no bottled water or water kettle or tea and coffee at your room. The breakfast is ok but kind of in the lobby. So for this price which insn‘t cheap you can only expect very basic things. The airport transfer by bus costs 3.5 euros and takes about 7 min bus ride. It leaves every half hour in front of the hotel.
LLIANGHotel location is very good, right at the entrance of the train station, the train station has supermarkets and restaurants. There is a swimming pool and sauna on the ninth floor of the hotel, which can eliminate the tiredness of the journey. Breakfast is better, pure Western food, there is no way for students who can't accept it.
MMiyachaiThe hotel is modern and stylish with new facilities. The rooms are clean and tidy, the facilities are quite simple, and parking is in the hotel's underground parking lot, which is convenient for access. The breakfast is good. The hotel is near the train station, and the surrounding environment is good. You can walk to the old city center for shopping and eating. A recommended hotel.

Staff tried to be helpful but wasn’t very knowledgeable in certain areas. Free welcome apples were a nice touch. Room itself could have been cleaner. Broken outside window. Tv not properly working due to internet issues. Water wasn’t refilled. Had to ask for refill during our 3 day stay (even we booked the luxury suite) especially on a Sunday when all shops are closed that isn’t very cool. Staff was very friendly about it but I would prefer service that doesn’t wait for me to ask for things.

1. Very close to the airport, which is super convenient for early departures and late arrivals. You can even self-check-in if you arrive in the early hours.
2. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is quite large too, making for a comfortable space.
Cons:
1. The room isn't soundproof, so earplugs are a must (and the front desk doesn't provide them).
2. The duvet cover was a bit scratchy.
Overall, it's perfectly fine for a short stay, especially if you're dealing with flight schedules.
WWasssupDespite the 10mins long walk on main road to the hotel (they do provide sign to guide you), I really enjoyed my stay that is away from the city. The front desk staffs are very friendly in helping me in renting a bicycle and using their sauna.
A great place to unwind and relax with long cycling path. The breakfast is acceptable and filled with choices.
The front desk staffs also informed me that they do sell pizza when I come back late one night as everywhere nearby was closed
