Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was ok and they offered both japanese and continental options. The standard rooms on the 2nd floor had no view as there was a large wall in front of the window so i would definitely not recommend this option. The premium rooms are on higher floors and offer better view, if that is what you are going after. Overall it was a comfortable and clean place to stay for a few nights

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Good location, great hospitality but the hygiene was so poor that I was looking fwd to checkout day. The bathroom smelled bad all the time. The water in the toilet bowl was so high that it spilled whenever used. I felt disgusted and stressed whenever I used toilet. If you don't mind the hygiene, maybe you will like this place but for me. I prefer another place. Breakfast was too salty. I couldn't find anything not that salty except egg, bread, rice and raw cabbage If you have kidney problem, I recommend you to avoid.

Nice house with average services Front desk staff may arrive late so there are chances that you need to wait under the sun as all doors closed and you can only contact them by email during that time (not very responsive) Thin wall so may hear people talking in midnight Good experience overall despite the above Beds and tatami are very comfortable and smell good Taxi costs ard 1,000yen from kyoto station to the house

I had a great experience staying at this hotel! The surrounding streets were very clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment. There’s a convenience store right downstairs, which made it super convenient to grab anything I needed. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and overall convenience!

Saya pernah ke kedua-dua Pockets di Kyoto. Saya sukakan penghawa dingin sendiri di setiap bilik kecil, tingkap, bilik dan lorong berdinding penuh & berkarpet. Lif, bilik, bilik mandi dan pancuran mandian semuanya memerlukan akses kunci. Saya akan menginap di Pocket GoJo pada bila-bila masa tetapi Pocket ShiJo dikelilingi oleh dua jalan beli-belah: jalan ShiJo dan pusat beli-belah Nishiki.

The hotel is located near the Kyoto Station. The room size is larger than many hotels in Japan. The hotel provide free dessert and drinks after lunch hour, some snacks with beer or wine after 6pm. The breakfast is delicious and had lots of choice. During my stay, the hotel provide materials for making a tatami coaster. It is worth to stay in this hotel. I will choose this again when I come back to Kyoto.

Berhampiran stesen susur keluar barat Hachiko, sesuai untuk orang yang menaiki JR Haruka atau Shinkansen balik. Sebab dekat dengan jalan naik. Tetapi jika sesiapa memberi tumpuan kepada perjalanan bas di Kyoto, ia akan berada di seberang, berjalan kaki yang jauh. Ditempah 2 malam dan telah dinaik taraf ke bilik di sayap selatan. Letakkan beg pakaian anda dengan mudah. Terdapat plag di tepi katil. Katilnya sederhana lembut. Tetapi bantal itu sangat keras. Tetapi terdapat daun kecil dan lembut yang boleh digunakan secara bergantian. Lampu di dalam bilik tidak begitu terang. Terdapat 2 botol air percuma di dalam bilik yang hampir lengkap, hanya kehilangan topi mandi. Di sini, sistem daftar masuk kiosk mudah digunakan. Sarapan pagi tersedia jika anda belum membelinya. Terdapat 3 ruang makan untuk dipilih, setiap satu berharga 3000 yen.

The service at this hotel is famous: everyone seems happy to see you. The location is also very good, close to the station but not so close as to feel busy. But what I really liked was the breakfast, which I found exquisite. I definitely recommend this hotel.
