3rd stay here over last 6 or so months. I don't know, but it seems a bit less attractive to stay here now. The room is essentially minimalist but perfectly acceptable. Room was very noisy on level one next to an equipment room, but the rate I paid was good so I have no complaints on that. The really big issue was the clearly misleading marketing in the lifts. It advertised a breakfast deal for $20, but when I rang to book breakfast the receptionist had to check with someone and recieved a short reply ”you have buy for every night of your stay”. ie 5 breakfasts. The really great thing about this hotel is breakfast and more from 6am at the Dome, a west Australian cafe chain out the front two right turns, next corner. Unsure if I'll return to this hotel. For me now it's in thumbs down territory, primarily for the deception where it matters muchly, the stomach ransomed to the pocket.

On my window, they had masking tape which I suspect was to avoid wind whistling through. That’s not a really great look though. Check in was a disaster. Admittedly it was Friday evening and there was a lot of people arriving for the weekend, but clearly they weren’t planning their staff needs properly and it was ridiculous. Not only that, but their EFTPOS machine was not working so you had to fill-in a paper sheet. I get technology goes down, but honestly that was just bad. To be fair I was not feeling well when I arrived, so the whole thing just seemed a lot worse than it probably was and the staff were actually quite nice, despite the fact that they were clueless. I had sent a message to the hotel prior to arriving with a couple of specific requests, which they did the absolute opposite of which just made me laugh. They weren’t a big deal, but it’s the little things that count, especially when you’re a diamond member of their loyalty program. I think the place just needs a freshen up and the staff need to get plugged in. I wasn’t actually going to even write a review, but what pushed me over the edge was when I turned on the shower and watched a whole pile of hair swirling around in the bottom of the shower stall.

Both me and my son enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Although its more like a 'clubbing' area, I feel it is still safe and I have a child with me. And its just two of us. Staffs are friendly and hotel is at a good location. Room is well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had good 4 night of sleep! View from our room is fantastic. Breakfast was good too. Will definitely return again!

This hotel should be better than it is due to what seems like a staff shortage. The beds and the room was fine but a minimum of staff was evident so service struggled. If the intention is to economise then they will not survive. I was instructed to leave the car in the adjacent carpark and was left to struggle with our luggage to the hotel where we loaded our own carriage to take to our room, all this in clear view of other staff. Where was the concierge. We had a drink at the quite busy bar and while waiting for service, we could clearly see that there was no concierge on duty. The carriage we used was left in the hall way until we checked out. Now, if you like Indian food you'll love this place. Trouble is if you don't, go elsewhere. I think a restaurant should be more flexible with their menu.

Great location, friendly staff. Met our expectations. Decor is a little dated and old and the hotel restaurant and bar were closed for renovation which is a pity, but the hotel was convenient to walk to food outlets, trains and attractions.

The newly renovated room was nice, clean, and comfortable. There was no renovation noise observed and we had a peaceful rest. The breakfast costs AUD 28 per person per day if you add it on at the start of your stay, the breakfast variety was not the best but there was an egg station, pastries, some cooked dishes with Asian and Western selection, and two hot coffee machines.

Lots of the reviews here, I believe, are reviewing Mercure on Hay (the newer, more upmarket hotel and possibly better of the two although I haven’t seen it), whereas lots of reviews in Mercure Perth on Hay are referring to Mercure on Irwin. I’ve compared the photos and the hotel details and official photos are definitely that way round. SO… this one, Mercure Perth (which is on Irwin St) is the bad one. It’s awful. It’s tired, badly fitted out, dingy and I hope never to stay here again. My room was down a corridor of *****ed (and stained) carpet that made me feel nauseous to look at. The room was ok, the bed comfortable, but more stained carpet, and lots of things didn’t work. Several light bulbs were broken, lots of curtain hooks missing, the room safe didn’t work, the bath had a rusty patch in it. The aircon was too cold for me and I followed the instructions to turn up the temperature but it didn’t warm up. Two phone calls and three hours later, someone attended my room, told me the air con wasn’t adjustable as it’s one temperature for the whole building so the instructions were incorrect. He turned it off (supposedly) and I then spent my stay with no aircon although the room was still cold and not stuffy and the control panel didn’t say ‘off’ so I think the whole thing was just BS and they couldn’t be bothered to deal with it or give me another room. Staff care factor of the attendant was zero, and of the front desk staff, close to zero. I got woken up in the early hours of the morning several times by skip bins being moved around in the laneway outside (very loud chains being dropped in the skip bins and noise reverberation). The next night the fridge started making such a loud noise in the middle of the night that I had to turn it off and use the spare towels to absorb the water as it defrosted. I’m just curious why Mercure keep this one running. Perhaps it’s set at a different price range but it’s not doing their brand any favours with two Mercure hotels so close together, especially with all the reviews mixed up.

We wanted accommodation close to the Arena and this was perfect. The staff, cleanliness, breakfast, accessible bathroom, were all great. Shame about the comfort level of the bed and couch. The bed rolled into the middle big time and was very low. The couch was extremely low making it unusable for a person especially with a disability. They had obviously not thought about this aspect of useability only the bathroom to make it an accessible rating. We would stay again but not in that room and we would enquire about the comfort of the furniture.

The room was small. Don’t expect a big room. The water heater was good I must say! Do not have to worry about worrying to bathe in cold water during winter. The sink layout was impossible to use without wetting the floor at all!! All in all a simple clean room with 24h check in and luggage storage. Location was a 5 mins walk to the Perth station! Very convenient! Nothing to complain about except the sink I must say 🌚 oh yes, pls bring hangers. There was rly no wardrobe to hang our clothes 🤣

From the moment we arrived to the last second of our 2 night stay we were treated like royalty, the room was luxurious with well appointed amenities and soft luxurious bedding. The view is to die for looking out over perth city and the Swan River, and really is breathtaking of a night time. The hotel has a vast amount of thing to entertain you so realistically no need to leave, (and we didnt). Everything is within walking distance so it is very well situated. The pool area is divine with infinity pools and 2 jacuzzi's for those slightly cooler days. The bars and restaurants are excellent with a wide variety of food and drinks to satisfy every craving! Even if it is some dirty old mcdonalds haha. Overall this experience was a 6 star experience. Definitely one we will be doing again very soon in the future.

We arrived in Perth at 2.30am and got a taxi straight from the airport. As it was in the middle of the night we had to press a buzzer and wait for someone to speak to us through the speaker, however they were either asleep or could not be bothered, so pressed the buzzer for a long time, finally someone came over the speaker which was distorted and they were telling me off for leaving my finger on the buzzer, they let us in and again he started telling us off about the buzzer, we totally ignored him stating our name and how many nights we were stating, i think he finally got the idea gave us a key and vouchers to get our breakfast. We just went to bed and viewed the room in the morning. Definitely needs redecorating, bed seem to go go slightly downhill head as we felt our feet were higher than our heads, pillows were flat, we had a sheet then a duvet which was had seen better days and needs a new one and then a top sheet. Bathroom was basic, did have a shower although it made some strange nosies and the temperature was up and down, no plug in the hand basin, there were toiletries which we never used. Breakfast was very basic, just some cold meats, cold hard boiled egg, salad and toast. If you wanted cook you had to pay along with Croissants, pain au raisin etc. Reception staff during the day were pleasant and very helpful, always had a smile. Getting around it was in a good position to get around the city, it was close to the Freebus service called the cat service which you can hop on and off at any time. Would we stay again - No - there's plenty of hotels in Perth .

Love that the Lobby has microwave for your ready-to-eat meals. We checked in late and there weren’t much eateries open. We managed to settle our dinner with groceries from Woolworth. Also love that they have a luggage weighing scale to check your baggage weight. Location of the hotel works great for us as we were there jsut for a night from a late flight, before picking our car up from No Birds car rental which was located just 5-8mins walk away. Hotel is dated but cleanliness makes the mark. Despite its age, it is clean. Door is heavy and can slam shut really quick. Hotel still uses retro turn-key door knob. No biggie though! Room lighting is really dull. Again, no biggie!

I had booked it with kitchen first time, all things was good. kitchen, free parking,good location. I thought all rooms had kitchen then booked it second time, and request electrical stove room, no one replied can do or not,we been the room where was no kitchen. I thought who did not clearly know which room with kitchen. we don’t book it any more. Booked other where we sure with kitchen, free parking , similar prices and location.

Thanks to Ms Tegan and her team for being quick snd wonderful fixing my booking and assigning me great room Wonderful and accommodating team from booking thru to check out.As Accor member they were considerate with my request for a view as I'm anxious of enclosed spaces and upgraded me anyway due to my membership. Very attentive colleagues at the restaurant too ! Plus IGA is so close by and Shige restaurant. I'll stay again definitely.

Very comfortable stay at this older but well kept hotel. Perfect location overlooking Swan River, easy walk to riverside & centre. Great service, very helpful staff, good sized rooms, cleaned daily, comfortable beds. Small but usable gym leading to sunny pool area, complimentary laundry. Altogether, great value.

”Excellent Value” Perfect Peaceful Comfortable . Room is nicely appointed homely relaxing. Big Pool fitness equipment Sauna. We are staying in a Standard King (atm) - the Quality is far superior than all the local competitors in this price range . The front desk are brilliant International Standards & ”Accommodating” they have the skill & together to work things out for you ! Housekeeping are considerate quiet & thorough. Our best decisions in Perth checking into the ”Residence on Langley” - the River is right outside our back door & a really nice Foodies IGA with heaps of great Hotel Foods, the Free Red & Yellow cat buses are one block away & frequent. Its a 15 min walk to the CBD. there is direct access to the magnificent Swan river walks if you like quiet & nature like 15 mins walking to the CBD this is it! Thanks to the Residence team.

My family of 5 stayed at Mantra on Hay for 6 nights in the 2 bedroom-2toilet apartment on the ground floor. The apartment looked as per the images, though the toilets are a slightly dated and the water pipes do get a little noisy. Overall it is still a good experience and my family had a great stay. :)

Good and nice location and service

Overall, Quest East Perth was very good & the location is very convenient. Everything was near (shops, transportation, etc). Service is nice & safe. Room is very clean & comfortable. Reception was very helpful.

From the call to book to getting our keys off valet when leaving the staff were bright cheerful and always going above and beyond to assist and make it a great stay. As always the metrapol room was to the highest of standards and far better experience than the other two hotels on offer due to the better facilities and restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Took the whole family kids aged 5 and 5 months and had a great time at the pool and kids play area provided for them. The morning before leaving made our way down to the gaming floor and in true crown fashion the machines gave us back everything we had spent on our stay so our weekend away ended up being free.

Check in and check out very smooth. Love that it’s at ****** area so that it’s lively even at night. Short drive from airport and CBD. Will come back and stay again!
