One of the best hotels I have stayed so far. Fairfield by marriot has kept up to its brand name of Marriot. 👌Smooth check in process 👌Excellent service 👌 Huge spread of scrumptious breakfast. Staff also serve your choice of food item, apart from the breakfast buffet. 👌 Quick Room service 👌 Hospitable staff 👌 Clean rooms Tbh, I found the rooms small for a triple sharing basis. Apart from that, everything else was magnificent.
Courtyard Amritsar

The hotel is pretty close to main areas and not bang in the noise.The restaurant serves great brunch and we found the best Amritsar kulcha here,itself. The rooms are clean and we got an upgrade at checkin. The hotel has standard amenities and a small pool with gym at the top of the hotel. The only sour note was probably how the hotel measures it staff perfor***ce. The ***ager of the coffee shop and the waiters were insistent that we give good feedback. It seems the praise is being pushed which we would have given any how. The second unprofessional thing was that our flights were in the evening and we asked for late checkout. The front desk seemed amused and were playing with us. This is not professional. I would recommend the food even if its price (a la carte) is significantly higher.

My 1st time in Amritsar and had a wonderful time at holiday inn hotel,the staff of the hotel was top notch and made me feel very comfortable and welcoming thanks to neeraj at the reception ..the rooms were huge and got upgraded to the deluxe room..special thanks to mr Raghav Sharma(Duty ***ager)who went out of his way to make sure i was comfortable and also to Jaykrishna ,kanta, sohan at the resto who attended to all my needs very well..and for the help desk ppl all were very well…will definitely come back to Amritsar and will always stay at Holiday Inn..i would highly recommend this hotel to everyone..and also this hotel should for sure get a 5 star rating⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(Kevin Gurbani-Jakarta Indonesia)

Not so friendly people at the reception as not enough information is provided. Staff needs training. Food quality is good and staff in the restaurant is very good. Room is good but again missing ***y utility items which is normal for a this kind of hotel. Everytime you need to ask for products which are missing, sometimes towels and sometimes slippers which is very irritating. This has happened in earlier stay as well and they sent an apology mail but did not work pass on the information.

The location is fantastic - a 5-minute walk from Sri Har***dir Sahib, with ***y surrounding eateries and shops in the vicinity Cleanliness of the hotel is very well-maintained All of the hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially when providing advise and guidance on planning the itinerary of the day Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back here when we do visit Amritsar again in the future

This hotel is by far the worst 5 star experience ive had anywhere in india. I’ve stayed at multiple taj properties and the service here is the worst. First, Gave me wrong bed arrangement upon arrival. After an hour, fixed that but gave us one room with poor AC. 5 degree Celsius difference between this room and our second room so wasn’t a questionable difference. I tried calling ***agemnt multiple times including concierge. People here don’t answer the phones. Went down and asked them to address it. Came back after visiting golden temple and still same issue. Then tried calling, again no one answered. Went down for dinner and asked them. Got up in the middle of dinner to ask and was told engineers looking at it. Went back to room and same problem. Called again and because no one answers the phone had to walk down and de***d the duty ***ger and a room change. Finally shifted our room and it’s fine. but what’s amazing is every time I went down most of the front desk staff was not busy. The concierge seemed to be making personal calls while acting like he was working. Yet no one did anything or made any effort to do so. I’ve never met a lazier group of people in any hotel in india of even lower stars. There is a word in Hindi called kaamchor if you don’t know what it means just come here and work with the staff and you’ll figure it out. If this wasn’t prepaid through a tour company I would have checked out and asked for my money back. I’d stay away from this place unless it’s free. The only positive was the chinese restaurant so far. If that changes I’ll update my review. I’ll be staying at another taj property in delhi. Let’s see if they have kept their original greatness.
Hyatt Regency Amritsar

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Amritsar for 2 nights 30 /31 May as part of a Mercury Holidays tour group. All the hotels used were excellent but the Hyatt stood out because of the attentive nature and politeness of all the staff members. They could not do enough for us. The greeting was exceptionally warm and friendly and we were made to feel special right from the moment we got off the bus. Everything was well organised and the whole experience was wonderful, stress free and relaxing. Everyone was so helpful and the service so prompt and personal. Too ***y staff to compliment from door attendants, greeters, receptionists, luggage handlers, restaurant personnel and room cleaners all deserve more than 10 out of 10. I have probably missed out some roles for which I apologise. If I had to select two names it would be Sonali on greeting. She has a smile to die for (see photo attached) and so helpful and informative. She told us all about the Golden Temple what to look for to get the full experience and showed us a flavour of what to expect there at night and during the day and at the closing of the border ceremony via the hotel information video. She also advised us on the security arrangements at sites and what not to take ( eg cigarette lighters) and expected dress codes. Nothing was too much trouble for this lady and her colleagues. The other person would be Bandano who worked in the pastry shop. I was looking for some of our tour party and another tour group had just arrived so the greeters were very busy in the foyer and she just came over and asked if she could help and pointed out where our people had gone. This demonstrates the team work between all departments and why the service at this hotel is exceptional. I have travelled a lot on business and have stayed in some top class world ranked hotels and this is one of the best due mainly to the genuine attentive nature of the staff and their willingness to help. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely hotel although getting a little pricey now even in off session. Rooms are fine and functional albeit a little tired in terms of decor and tech. Bathrooms are much the same but can’t complain too much as everything works fine. Staff are helpful and accommodating. Best of all the hotel is 5 mins from Golden Temple by Auto.
