Under average hotel, the staff are very friendly and willing to help. But the room is so small that it is far below the average. Breakfast is provided with a lack of choice. Generally speaking, it is not worth it.

The hotel is okay. It’s a big hotel just next to the bay. There was a lot of school groups staying here so it was pretty crowded and noisy in the mornings and evenings. Breakfast was fine, not a huge amount of options just bread, small selection of fruit and a couple of cereals. The room was very small and the bed was too small (I’m 180cm). I got a room with a window but the window was just to the hallway and even with the blind down light was coming in all the time which made it difficult to sleep.

We had an enjoyable stay at Alda hotel. The location is perfect, all the shops and restaurants are nearby. The reception staff are friendly. Jorge was amazing and was extremely helpful with helping us book our transport to the airport. Will definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommend!

This hotel has a lot going for it, but it's held back by the fit and finish of many of the hotel's spaces. Overall, the hotel just feels dated. The red carpet in all of the halls is faded and stained, the wood floor in the room had a lot of damage, and the spa is way past its prime. On a positive note, the furniture in the room has been updated recently and the pieces were nice plus I found the bed to be very comfortable. Also, breakfast was really good! The service at the hotel was also great. But that spa, ugh. It's a perk of being a gold/diamond member, but the spa is just not in good condition. Most urgently, something needs to be done about the steam room, it smelled awful while we were there and even made other parts of the spa smell. But overall, the spa was just not in good shape with damage everywhere. Also, the location of this hotel isn't great if you're looking to explore Reykjavik but, if like us, you want somewhere with free parking for you to explore the rest of Iceland, then this is a great location for you.

We were initially allocated 331 which was in another block and had twin beds, so we swapped to room 301 which was double and we weren't disappointed. It was a clean and spacious, comfy bed .Great to have a ettle, fridge and coffee machine :-) Large walk in shower with constant hot water. Large wardrobe, plenty of storage. We had a 2nd door onto a corridor to other rooms, there was windows in this wall but by opening curtains people on corridor could look in. Only downside no natural light. Relatives across corridor in room 305 had full wall of windows for day light. Breakfast was good choice and plentiful. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Located with walking access to everything. Would stay here again and recommend

酒店有兩個門，一個正門，一個後門用於各種預訂活動的接送（在預訂極光或出海等活動時，最好和旅行社確認一下地址，攜程上面的地址是sigtun28，但是接送是在sigtun38，應該就是後門地址）我們第一天晚上的極光，就一直等在正門，打了電話給旅行社，才知道司機一直等在後門，跑到後門去，司機又已經開到前門來了…折騰了一下… 酒店有很大的免費露天停車場，對自駕出行很友好，不用費腦子去找停車場。離大教堂等景點大概5-8分鐘車程，步行就要15分鐘左右，在大冬天裏就不怎麼友好了。 早餐中規中矩，符合冰島當地一般水準（和之後住的希爾頓差不多）有自己動手現榨的橙汁，挺好喝的（可能是因為是自己榨的吧…） 酒店餐廳掛了很多獎牌，應該在當地是一家出色的餐廳吧。但是由於時間上的安排，沒能去吃一餐，現在還是比較遺憾的，如果有時間的話，可以嘗試下。 房間大小能接受，床品也相對舒適（可能因為時差和太累了吧，睡得好得不得了）衞生間有浴缸和淋浴房。暖氣是裝在窗台下的暖氣片，拉上窗簾的話，效果就不太好了。對了，這個酒店有一次性拖鞋，就直接放在房間抽屜，這在歐洲比較少見。

The hostel was clean and warm, the rooms were well laid out, with a safe for each person. It's such an odd looking building, but that's definitely part of the charm! The large kitchen/common area looks cool both from within and from the street looking up at it: the huge windows, and the warm coloured, up-lit walls make it so cosy! The hostel is spitting distance from Hallgrimskirkja, you can see it from the common room windows. This means you're in the heart of the city - great if you have no transport! It does mean you're in the heart of the tourist traps too... so any shop nearby (with the exception of Kronan stores) will be more expensive than those further afield. The staff leave you to do your own thing, the cleaners are all super friendly, the showers are always hot, and in decent condition. It really exceeded my expectations. I might have wished for an onsite bar or cafe for socializing, but everything is so expensive in Iceland that I was glad of the lack of temptation! And if you do need that sort of diversion, the B47 Hostel, which occupies the lower floors of the same building, has something like that. I'm sure it would have been okay to use it.

We traveled with 3 families from the USA to Iceland with our elderly parents as part of our dad's 80th birthday bucket list. We corresponded with the hotel staff via email before our trip and they were very prompt and helpful in answering questions. You never know when you're emailing a hotel operation if you'll even get a reply. Imagine our delight when they replied quickly and were extremely helpful, even with offering restaurant suggestions or to call taxis for us. We organized the airport pickup car service which made our arrival very easy. With 6 people and lots of luggage, the car size was adequate and driver very professional. The driver took us to the hotel reception desk. We'd taken a red-eye flight and the hotel staff greeted us with a very warm welcome. They offered us coffee, a place to sit, and use of bathrooms. The reception area was comfortable and the bathroom even had a full-size luxurious tiled shower if needed (definitely not a truck stop shower here!). Our rooms weren't ready so they stored our luggage at no charge and were very accommodating when we needed to retrieve items. Upon check-in, they called a taxi to transport us and our luggage and to the building. It was only a few minutes walk, but this was very thoughtful considering it was a cold and windy winter day. Our building was newly renovated and was very clean and fresh. We had rooms on the basement level, the main level, and the top floor. Each room was spacious, had a large kitchen, and clean and comfortable bathrooms. The basement room had a full-size sliding door that walked outside. The top room had a mini balcony that overlooked the harbor. We'd read some reviews about a sulphur smell in the bathrooms or the water supply. We didn't experience this at all. In fact, we routinely filled our water bottles with the tap water in the rooms and it was perfect to drink. They performed daily housekeeping service automatically and we left laundry one day which was returned within 24 hours with no problems. Definitely take the breakfast option. The bread is baked fresh, filled with air pockets and crusty outside. Hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt (skyr), meats, and cheese. This was a great way to start the day. Coffee was included in the room and the kitchens also had mini-fridges which included a supply of milk and apple juice. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were well-heated. Wi-fi was fast and included. We spent one week at the hotel and highly recommend staying here. It was the size and layout of an apartment, with the amenities and service of a 5-star hotel. Things to watch out for: If you're traveling with others, try to arrange to be in the same building. The buildings are definitely spread out and are a far distance from the reception area. If we'd been in separate buildings, it would have been much more difficult t

We stayed at Storm for two nights prior to our Ring Road Tour of Iceland. We arrived early and could not check in, but the hotel stored our bags so we could go and explore. The complimentary breakfast buffet was convenient before heading out for the day. Rooms were comfortable with both USBs and outlets for charging our electronics. Location was convenient...just a short walk to the main shopping and dining area. All in all, a great way to start our Iceland vacation!

The hotel staffs were very welcoming and hospitality. We feel really good when we arrived at the hotel and even during departure. Breakfast spread was small but great. We had a warm and nice breakkie. The room is very cosy. The bed was very soft and springy! The blanket was just nice, very warm and comfortable. How we wish we could bring home. Haha. The price was also worthwhile. ✌🏻
