Hotel Dengan Gym di Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan

This hotel is super close to Kanazawa JR Station; you can even see the train station from your window. In the mornings, opening the curtains to watch trains slowly pull in feels like something out of a movie. The room also has a full kitchen with appliances and utensils, so you can buy groceries from nearby supermarkets or the seafood market and cook your own meals. There's a microwave, oven, dishwasher, induction hob, and pots, making it incredibly convenient.

This is a great hotel, I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's right across the street from the JR station exit. The toiletries are complete, and the drip coffee the front desk gave me was delicious. The 7-Eleven outside the hotel is large, but they don't restock quickly enough, so you might want to buy things at the JR station and bring them back. There are tourist buses from the JR station that make getting to attractions very convenient, or you can walk to them after dinner. The Notou beef BBQ nearby is delicious and good value for money.

This was a wonderful stay! The room was very clean, and having a large public bath was a great bonus. The staff were incredibly kind; they even gave me a band-aid when I had a blister from my shoes.

Best was the receptionist! A young and very professional gentleman that helped us with everything along our stay, he normally works in Kyoto but came for a week to the hotel in kanazawa. Hope to see you at the hotel insomnia KYOTO next time we pass through. Highly recommend this hotel! Some weights at the gym would have been the cherry on top of the cake :)

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right outside the West Exit of JR Kanazawa Station and next to a shopping mall. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The room was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, and all the facilities were new and very clean. To get your room cleaned, you need to scan a QR code inside the room to book the service.

This was my second stay at the hotel, and I again stayed in a high-floor executive room. The hotel offers a lounge. The service was warm and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The only downside was the significantly reduced food selection in the lounge. Afternoon tea only had three types of cakes left, with no salad or savory snacks. Breakfast also only had yogurt and fruit. The drink selection was also much smaller; last year there was Yakult in the morning, but this year it wasn't available, which felt like a major downgrade. I recommend booking a standard room.

The triple room was spacious. Although it wasn't a hot spring hotel, it had a public bath, massage chairs, and complimentary ice cream, allowing guests to relax after their bath. The facilities were excellent, with art pieces on display and a beautifully designed courtyard garden where guests could quietly appreciate the scenery. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, with a delightful surprise of ice cream included. Attention to detail was evident, such as providing elastic bands to secure the sleeves of the yukata.

The hotel reception and waitstaff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The room was very clean, with a simple yet stylish design. In the evenings, you could enjoy soba noodles in the lobby and even order a sake set to chill with friends. I even asked the front desk if I could bring my own snacks to enjoy with the free drinks. It was a very comfortable space. If you're staying for a day or two, I recommend trying the hotel breakfast. Both the Japanese and Western options were delicious, especially the bread 🥯. I bought breakfast every day during my 3-day stay, but I got tired of having the same thing daily 😂. Despite the no-refund policy, I wanted to cancel breakfast on my last day. The staff were very thoughtful and said that even though a refund wasn't possible, I could take away some bread 🖤. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would choose UAN Kanazawa again if I come back.

The hotel itself was old but the room was relatively beautiful. I was worried about the mold and dirt in the bathroom. I think it can't be helped by the number of years. It was a pity that the electricity in the room was dark, the window was full of spider webs when I opened the curtain to see the scenery, and there was no laundry. There was an ice cold machine on the fifth floor and I used it. The hotel response was very good. I didn't feel so far from Kanazawa Station in about 20 minutes.

The design of the Youth Hostel, the room is very small, 90 [%] or more foreigners, no noise and quiet at night. The public restrooms and bathrooms are very clean, the common kitchen pots, pans, knives and forks have everything, and they are spacious and bright. Note that the luggage storage can only be taken away on the same day. It is charged for overnight stays.
