KSL Hotel in JB offers great value mainly due to its location. Being attached to KSL City Mall means you have everything under one roof — retail shops, F&B, cinema, salon, massage, and a supermarket. It’s especially convenient for families and travellers who want easy access without driving around Johor Bahru. The rooms are generally comfortable, though some units feel older and could use a refresh. Beds are soft, air-conditioning is strong, and Wi-Fi is workable. Cleanliness is acceptable, but during peak seasons like school holidays and weekends, you may notice slower housekeeping service and longer check-in queues because of the high volume of guests. Facilities like the pool, small dinosaur-themed water park, and gym are nice bonuses. Security is decent, and parking is plentiful. Overall, KSL Hotel is great for short stays, shopping trips, and quick weekend getaways if you prioritise convenience and affordability over luxury.

Location is ideal esp with elderly/kids cos can juz go up/back room to rest if they're tired fr shopping/walking. Mall size isnt 'too big' too walk so juz ”right” for a short staycation. Swimming pool rather small. Biz lounge would be a good place to relax the view over a glass of wine (provided no children around/permitted) Breakfast food quality and spread wise not as good compared to other similarly priced hotel. Staffs are attentive giving prompt service with ready smiles (good training by hotel mgmt) Room is clean well stocked with coffee/tea etc, except the bathrobes & towels seem 'well-used' , dun have that freshly washed smell/feel one expects from established big hotels. Also the bed doesnt give one a really good night sleep on it....ended up with some body aches, so perhaps its time to replace the mattress :P

I check in on November 13-14 an overnyt stay in the hotel. Its very near to City Square mall its only a walking distance. The room is clean and spacious also minimalist. The toilet is clean too with a nice shower on top. Front desk staff shud welcome customer nicely with a smile. BUT, My unlikely experience was upon our checkout we didnt noticed that my husband forget his Puma Jacket. I only notice more than an hour or so. Luckily upon check out the hotel message me to thanking for choosing them ffor my stay. Since i left my jacket i replied to the message and ask them. They replied few minutes to check. BUT, they confirmed that no jacket left. I truely believed that i really left the jacket at my room. So i messaged them again at nighy telling that i also confirmed that my jacket was in my the room. And maybe the cleaner took my jacket. Off course, who else will take. Only the cleaner who clean when we left. I said if you really confirm no one saw my jacket but I myself confirming that i do left it. So i tell them its ok, never mind. Honesty is the best policy. In the end they message me and say the found it. See, i would like to comment there staff for being dishonest also. When the cleaner saw a left behind they should report to the lobby and call customer that they left something in there room.  So when they really got my jacket. I ask them to send to my 2nd hotel that i checked in just a few meters away. So apparently they did send my jacket. They shud out of good will right. So pls next time. Z hotel! Pls be honest and report if there is any left behind items from the customer and right away message or call them. Thank you!  In the 4th photo is the jacket that they send to my hotel.

It was a great stay! Very near to CIQ. Check in process was a bit complex at first but got used to it. Would be better if throwing trash is easier. Amenities are really good. Got all necessities like tissue, plates, spoons and forks in kitchen. Bed sheets are very clean. My towel got a bit of stain. Would recommend to bring small towel since they only give one big towel for each person. Overall, it was a good experience. Will come back again!

The room is small but it was clean. The location is near to Komtar and City Square JBCC. They have a cooling and refreshing welcome drink at the lobby when you check in. Staff is very nice, approachable. I had a package delivered to the hotel and they kept it safely with the tag on it sonit wont misplaced. Our breakfast somewhat just nice even the food is a bit less. Only i can say that the staff shud be alert if the food is alrdy finished. To top up them asap as there are still people havent get there breakfast yet. Like the egg omelet, croissants, salad and fruits. Overall the hotel is clean and affordable.

Staff so attentive especially bellman.. room mcm bersih, tp bila baring, bantal dia busuk bau kepam.. kalau 1 je x pe.. semua bantal dia busuk dlm bilik yg aku dpt.. haha.. so a bit x selesa utk tidur.. toilet ok, cuma toilet bowl a bit kotor.. paling best breakfast dia.. kalau nak add cuma RM30 per pax.. food was soooo flavourful.. b’fast buffet dia pun quite byk choice utk RM30 tuh.. cuma xde lah live stall buat telo.. but sedap.. hehe.. building ni attach dgn zon bebas cukai.. sekeliling dia byk je kedai.. so x risau nak cari food luar..

The rooms are nice. This hotel is clean, the rooms are cozy, and the service is warm and attentive. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and tastes great. Overall, it's good value for money, perfect for short trips or business travel.

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. I really liked the shower head — it’s powerful, just like getting a massage while showering! Breakfast was excellent and so filling that I couldn’t eat another bite. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I’ll definitely book here again if I come back.

This project unit is still very new as there were renovations going on in other units. The pool & gym size were decent and we did enjoy the facilities. The management team send their rep.to pick us up during check in. Communication was good as we used WhatsApp to message and they did a good job in communicating with us on a daily basis to check whether we needed any assistance during our stay. Netflix was provided which was an added bonus. They were kind enough to extend 1 more hour for our last day's checkout. Room was great as they knew we only have 2 pax and they provided a double bed for each room (though booking listed as a single bed with extra futons ). In the unit everything was new. We will definitely book again if the price is attractive enough as price is one of the main factors to consider for a JB trip since there are many other cheaper options available.

Pleasant stay at the hotel. Staff at Ground Level were friendly and polite. Room was well equipped with necessities like toothbrush kit, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, water bottles, fridge. The TV also has Youtube/Netflix option. What was also nice is that they have 2 sinks - 1 in the toilet, 1 outside the toilet with a big mirror. It is incredibly convenient as we can prepare our mornings separately. Bedding is clean, towels smells fresh. Around the neighbourhood there is also KFC, Pizzahut, Tasixi Hong Kong Dimsum for breakfast, and nearby Aeon Mall for shopping/supermarket. Photos are some of the amentities within the hotel.
