I was surprised there was a toilet/shower in the dorm room which is very convenient. Everything is clean and modern. There's a kitchen for use or you can also order from the bar (ground floor or rooftop)
Location:
walking distance to the train/metro station, there's also a tram stop right in front of the hostel. I get to Marienplatz from hostel within half hour.
Could be improved :
wifi is very weak in the room.

Guest UserHad to spend a quick night at this place to catch an early train from Munich hbf, being next to it made things a lot easier. The shower room is decently spacious, where I can open my luggage inside. This is a merit. Rooms are quite warm though.

Noraini ArisAmazing experience indeed. I get to meet many travellers and also made new friends. Less than 10 mins walk to Haubahnhof depending on your stride.
Definitely for people who loves travelling & history and expending network.
STRICTLY NOT FOR GRUMPY TRAVELLERS WHO ARE SELFISH AND EXPECTING PRIVACY IN SHARING DORM.

Guest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all my questions patiently despite my limited English – five-star service for that! The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to both the subway and train stations. The room itself was quite spacious, with a desk and a fan over the bed. I was very satisfied with my stay overall!

Clarise2000The hostel is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room and bathroom was clean. Each bed has a small locker that can fit a 13–14-inch laptop, so you can safely store your valuables. There is also some storage space underneath the bunk beds for small luggage. The hostel provides bedsheets, a blanket, and a pillow. If you don’t have a towel, you can rent one at the reception for €2. Each bed also has a personal fan, although mine was quite loud, so I ended up not using it. Overall, a simple and practical hostel with the basic amenities you need for a short stay.

Authentic and rustic on the outside, my room had been refurbished with up to date bathroom fixtures and shower, flooring, paint and furniture. Able to sleep 2 adults, 1 teen and 2 small kids. The Gruner Hof is a short walk across the Isar to Freising's old town and monastery (must see). Lots of options for public transportation; bus, train, taxi.
Quaintness factors: 2nd story rooms have the sloping roof and ceiling. I'm tall. Took me a week to stop bumping into it. Across the street is a church/school with a bell tower that chimes the time from 7am to 10pm; you'll always know the time but doesn't bother at night. Good sidewalks everywhere.

Anonymous UserThe hostel has a godd location close to the city centre and the main railway station. But as Germany is an enemy of A/C and also a fan, the room was too hot and we had to leave the windows open and it was simply too loud. There were only two toilets for a whole floor. Only two! For all! Two showers for males and two showers for females are ok but only two for all are too less. The bed was ok and they have curtains which was very very good as german hostels don‘t really have curtains on the beds. The room had lockers which was positive as well.

Guest UserWe like the welcome drinks and good atmosphere for youth. There is lift to every floor including street level to ground floor. The 4You Hostel is behind us towards the right. There is bicycle rental nearby which we may use if it was not snowing.
Usual hostel with shared bathroom. We had good warm shower.

John316I had a pleasant stay at this accommodation. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything I needed was available. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The accommodation offered good value for the price.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to stay here again.

Upon arrival no one answered the door on either side of the street. We had no way to call the number posted. Fortunately kind guests helped to call as they were coming out the door and directed us to our room. No contact with hosts until breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was excellent.
