New hostel w perfect position. It’s placed in the central so u don’t need to buy ticket for public transport. U can walk from the hostel to many places to visit They also nice and support if u need any help I will come back here if I go to Porto again. XD

Hostal con una ubicación de 10. Todo en muy buen estado, muy nuevo. Habitaciones cómodas y funcionales: la cama tiene cortina para tu intimidad y protegerte de la luz, enchufe, USB y luz que puedes encender cuando la necesites. Áreas comunes agradables. El personas es muy servicial, atento y agradable! Cosas a mejorar: algunos servicios básicos son de pago como toalla para ducha o taquilla. Se agradeceria que proporcionen candado para la cajonera para maletas.

Hola ! Pase 5 noches en este sitio super majo, con mucho encanto...En principio no era lo que esperaba, pero al final me fui contenta...Las camas muy cómodas y la limpieza super...todos los días te cambiaban las toallas y cuando regresabas la habitación super limpia...que decir de la gente de alli, muy amables en su atención con el cliente. Ambiente muy cálida por parte de todos ello. Recuerdo especial para vani por su calidez y amabilidad …Situado a 2 pasos de la Rúa Santa Catarina . Totalmente recomendable!!! Gracias!!

Our main issue with our stay was the staff. They were unengaged and uninterested in the guests. All of the staff were constantly hanging out on the sofas, watching Love is Blind Brazil on the flatscreen. They didn’t give off an inviting atmosphere, and the noise from the TV made it difficult to chill out or work in the common areas. Don’t stay here if you are a digital nomad! There’s no introduction to the stay. No information about walking tours, pub crawls, renting towels, nearest laundromat or breakfast and dinner. Breakfast cost 3,5€ and consisted of two hard buns and some fruit with yogurt. The staff seemed annoyed with preparing it. The hostel is pretty clean in general. The men’s bathroom tho, is a whole other story. During our stay the guests were mainly men, and their bathroom was only cleaned once a day. It left it in a condition consisting of toilet paper on the floor, sticky floor, walls and puke on the toilet and everything was just perpetually wet or moist. The shower couldn’t drain properly and there were mould in the corners and windows.

I spent 2 nights in a female dorm room. I believe there are mixed dorms and private rooms as well. I had a top bunk but I think you can request a bottom one when booking if you would prefer not to climb up. I had my own lamp and a plug for recharging my devices. The bed was really comfortable. There were 4 ensuites to service our dorm and I never had to wait. The communal area is just wonderful. Cozy lounge chairs as well as some bar stools by the windows were you can look over the river and towards Porto. Most nights of the week, they serve a hostel dinner for €10 which was great value for money. We sat at the large table in the common area and it was great to chat to the other guests. It is also very close to restaurants and bars if you prefer to go out. It is an easy walk over the bridge into Porto. The breakfast was simple but plenty of it and you could request pancakes or eggs for a small extra cost (€2 I think). I was leaving early my last morning before breakfast was served so requested a breakfast box to go, croissants and fruit.

Cuando llegamos hicimos los trámites y el pago rápidamente, luego vimos la habitación, nos alojamos en una habitación con literas, una cama doble, muy decente y limpia. Puesto que íbamos a hacer turismo preguntamos en el propio hostal por sitios que ver, muy amablemente nos indicaron por dónde podíamos ir y nos dieron un mapa. Esa noche también preguntamos por dónde podíamos salir para tomar algo y nos dijeron varias opciones. No llegamos a comer nada allí, pero todo tenía muy buena pinta. Recomendado 100%

Das Hostel ist perfekt für Städtereisen geeignet. Die einzelnen Kojen sind gut ausgestattet und man fühlt sich sicher und wohl. Beim gemeinsamen Badezimmer kann es zu Verzögerungen kommen aber man kann auch die öffentlichen Räume nutzen. Alles ist gut durchdacht und die junge Gästeschar war stets freundlich und angenehm. Der Garten mitten in der Stadt ist eine Oase der Ruhe und man kann hier dank der gemeinschaftsküche auch Garten Diners veranstalten! Große Leistung kleiner Preis. So macht reisen Spaß!

This is not a safe place! Especially if you are a solo traveler. If anything bad happens to you,this hostel would not help you, nor take any responsibility and actually would not care at all. That was exactly what happened to me when staying with them. I booked a mixed room for 5 nights. One night, in the middle of my stay, a sexual harrasment happened in my room conducted by one of the man staying in the same room. He got very drunk. In the middle of the night he started to shout, laugh and finally....masturbated (in a shared room). I was scared to death, my bed was just in front of his, I was sacred he would rape me or hurt me in another way. Suddenly, he went close to the window, and I could hear he was urinating on the floor, on my shoes.. I used the moment that he was across the room to get up and ran out as fast as I could to inform the reception about the incident. I spent the rest of the night in the reception area, was too frightened to go back to the room, I begged them to find something else for me, saying that after all of this, I would not go back to the room. I was asked to pack my belongings as they would check with a manager what they could do for me. On the next day I got the message saying that this man had checked out, and I was offered to stay in the exact same room, in the same bed...or I could leave if I didn't like the idea of staying there... I booked a room in a different place, as I felt disgusted with their behavior. The hostel failed to refund me ANY money for my unused bookings and my destroyed shoes. What was even worse, they never said or charged anything to this man. Nobody called the police. The man ate breakfast and was permitted to check out as if nothing happened. After few days of back and forth with the hostel, they offered that I could cancel the reservation overall to claim a refund - meaning I would not be able to give a review of the place... I refused and decided to give an honest review that this is NOT a safe place to stay, especially for women who travel solo.

It was a great experience.

The hair dryer is not equipped in the room. The downstairs bar is utterly noisy until 2 am, and you can feel the shake of the floor. They provide u with a small taste if Porto wine. The kitchen has nothing but a microwave to cook, so it is barely a kitchen There’s no water kettle here. The old man who is working as a janitor there and is also living in their 4 bunk bed is constantly very rude to Asian customers. So be aware. Could be racist, his own trauma, stereotypes, or simply anti-Asia. U can see he was smiling to other guests one minute ago and then scolding u in harsh language to u in the next minute. Location is good enough. The reception is only a place with frugal table with keys on it.

Estou muito satisfeita com a minha estadia, fui a responsável de um grupo de adolescentes e ficamos muito gratos pela atenção, pela hospitalidade. Funcionarios simpáticos, irei realçar o nome da menina Soraia e a Raquel que estiveram presentes no pequeno almoço na qual tive a oportunidade de falar com elas e elogiei o serviço que ambas prestaram, sem qualquer duvida que foram muito atenciosas, quanto à restante equipa resta me dizer que fiquei bastante satisfeita e o meu grupo também. A Pousada do porto a nivel de limpeza e higienização estava cuidadosa tanto os quartos como os balnearios, sala convivio e espaços comuns. Pousada com uma vista maravilhosa para a Foz irei fazer questão de regessar

Nous venons de passer 3 nuits dans cet établis*****t le rapport qualité prix est très bon. Accueil très sympathique. Petit déjeuner compris dans le prix très copieux... jambon fromage œufs fruits frais yaourt gâteaux locaux pain complet céréales blanc... Literie très confortable. Très propre. Salle de bain indépendante mais privative.

It was a great experience.

The treatment I received at this hostel was despicable, unreasonable and hostile. My flight was delayed for 5 hours and whilst in airport I received a very encouraging email from 'so cool' explaining reception closes at 9pm and if I haven't checked in by then I would have to wait to the morning. Having found somewhere else to stay for that night, I turned up at this hostel the next morning, the rigid lady at reception simply wasn't interested or concerned in the least of my predicament and informed me I was a ”no show” and my room was gone for the whole 3 nights I'd booked. I asked for a partial refund for the further 2 nights as I was now having to find somewhere else to stay and would have to pay top price, she was not interested to know this and told me there would be no refund and no room. Whilst I understand policies are policies I think a bit of allowance for unforeseen circumstances wouldn't go amiss. I had no control of my flight being delayed and had I not received the welcome text reminding me of reception opening hours I would have thought twice about contacting them, their communication was confusing and had mixed messages. More unforgivably is the attitude of the manager even when she knew I had nowhere to go and would need the partial refund to secure alternative accomodation, she was not losing any money and had sold my bed twice. I have used *********** for years to book hostels and I have never received such harsh heartless treatment. Whilst I get business is business, there's more to life than a computer database and rigid rules that don't allow for unforeseen circumstances. The rigid lady tried to tell me it was *********** who cancelled me but this was just a lie,. Thankfully the 'hostel Rosalina' saved my bacon and were a fantastic contrast to ”so cool's awful treatment. The receptionist was wonderful and helpful and her friendliness reassured me Porto was not full of heartless money grabbing robots. Avoid this hostel if you're not going to be there for 9pm or you have any chance of a flight delay. .

We stayed in one of their Standard Suite, which is another location. Probably, the most beautiful place I've stayed in interior wise. The room is very modern, bathroom is immaculate. Bed is big and comfortable. It was very quiet and clean. The breakfast is also worth the price and the bar and restaurant is really beautiful. What sets them aside from other places I've stayed is the genuine concern they have for their guests. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, we were forced to transfer to another hotel in the middle of the night. Travelling with a 1-year old, this situation can easily get stressful. However, the staff that attended to us were very very helpful. Going to the extent of helping us packed our stuff and bringing us to the other hotel. We also appreciate that they gave us an update and the sweet gesture of inviting us to lunch for compensation. This is something I will never forget, not just because of the situation, but the way the helped us. Unfortunately, we only had 1 day to enjoy their beautiful room but should my travel itinerary permits, i wish to go back to Porto and stay in their property again. Thank you GH!
