We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 2 nights. Very welcoming staff when we arrived. You have to pay for parking on a machine inside the hotel and the receptionist gave us a discount code to use! On arrival at our room we found thenTV didn’t work. We called reception and Nicky came up very quick to help. She couldn’t fix it so returned to reception organized another room for us and also gave us a complimentary drink voucher to use during our stay! First class customer service !! All the staff were very friendly and helpful!! We had a nice 2 night stay and the breakfast was plentiful!! Would definitely recommend staying here and it’s only a short walk into town

We arrived to find that of our 3 rooms booked and paid for only 2 were available and the other had been sold to another. They made up an disused room for us to replace this sold room. However instead of the ”deluxe room” booked we had a room used for the homeless by the council which was confirmed by the staff. The facilities are very basic and some dont work. Some rooms are better than others. We had 3 rooms. Our bathroom light was intermittent, the bathroom handle was hanging off. The paint is peeling in all rooms. My daughters room was awful and we did not use it. Her bedroom window did not close even at the end of October when cold; The light on the stairway (with no windows) did not work, so the stairs were total darkness; The shower did not work and was hanging off the wall with bare wires; The tv was missing, The carpet was totally disgusting and was covered in so many stains that you didn't want to take your shoes off; Basic kitchen facilities are missing eg no bowls (had to use a lunch box to eat our cereal), other guests are loud and disrepectful... Hairs in the sink and shower; Skid marks in the toilet; Sheets are un-ironed (but a minor point considering); Communal kitchens are a disgrace and not fit for use, microwave disgusting, grease everywhere. No natural light in our room as the blind would not go up, however in another room there was no blind at all, so the light came in the room very early. We only wanted somewhere comfortable to sleep, the location was not so important, however if this is important you need to know this is on a forecourt of a petrol station. The firedoor which said to keep closed, was propped open with the fire extinguisher, which not only meant the door was not closed but there was also a blockage in the doorway. I hate having to leave a negative review but this property just isn't up to the basic standards. The only positives the bed was reasonably comfortable and the room temperature was fine in the rooms where the window closed. Wifi was OK.

Booked through a business account, staff at check wasn’t good. Talked over me when asking basic questions, didn’t tell me anything about the restaurant times or breakfast which was pre paid. Had to ask him to check the notes a few times before he listened, still wasn’t helpful after. Booked a double bed but got a room with to singles ( on a one person booking ) room was noisy as it had an a joining door so I could hear the tv in the other room all night.

We had an excellent and relaxing stay at Belton Woods Hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food especially the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. During our stay we used the pool and spa facilities which were all very clean, the pool was nice and warm and large enough for doing few lengths without getting in to anyone's way.

We celebrated a friend's 70th birthday .For a Wednesday evening we were surprised at how busy the restaurant was and seeing as there were 6 of us this didn't stop the excellent service.Our waiter Tom F went above and beyond to cater for our every request ,he was polite, considerate and efficient.The food was beautiful and well presented, it is certainly worth another visit.We wish Tom F all the best for his future we're sure he will go far in everything he aims for.

Daftar masuk cepat yang bagus dan dengan tempat letak kereta yang selamat Bilik itu bagus dan katilnya sangat selesa. Saya kagum bahawa teh, kopi, susu dan biskut ditinggalkan di luar pintu kami untuk malam kedua kami. Kami makan malam di hotel untuk malam pertama. Ia adalah ok tetapi bahagian adalah kecil. Sarapan pagi berikutnya adalah lebih baik! Dan saya berterima kasih kepada chef kerana menghidangkan tomato panggang segar dan bukannya tomato dalam tin!! Kami memilih hotel ini kerana ia adalah yang paling hampir dengan pusat bandar, ia mempunyai pemandangan Minster yang hebat dan kerana ia menawarkan nilai wang yang hebat. Saya pasti akan mengesyorkannya!!

just returned form two night at Cley Hall Hotel. Excellent in every respect. Large comfortable bed, walk-in shower, great breakfast, room and bedding extra clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Could not have asked for more. Parking was easy, even when they had a wedding on that Saturday night

I am an ancient and reasonably crusty retired Army officer. My cum and I visited Duke William for a meal. We walked in at 7 o'clock (1900hrs in real time) and It was heaving! Think pre-Covid rush-hour Underground train. A polite young man (Josh) pointed us (combined age 170) in the right direction. The restaurant was fully booked, and thus we had to return to Josh to order our food. The meal was served remarkably promptly by a charming young lady (Lisa) and was jolly good ('pub grub') in every respect - except: the portions were far too large! When we left, about 2100hrs, the place seemed even fuller, with a mix of all ages present. In addition to the great crowd there was an eclectic selection of well-behaved dogs. I cannot comment of cost, as neither of us had visited a pub since before the wretched Covid. Well done all concerned at 'Duke William', and thanks.

It is amazing hotel and welcoming manager. I am really grateful for him because I was very late and i did not find a taxi . I had a job interview in the morning and made his son take me in his own car. I really really appreciate that.

Stayed with my husband on 6th-8th March 2023 while in the area visiting family. I'll start with the good. You couldn't get a better location in Lincoln, the hotel is right opposite Lincoln Cathedral which is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. The Castle is a 5 min walk away and is a must! The Victorian Prison and the Medieval Wall Walk at the Castle are also a must and its a pleasant and interesting way to spend a morning or afternoon. So, five stars for the great location. The staff at the hotel are all pleasant and try hard, and the evening food was very nice and we can recommend eating here in the evening. Now for the bad. On arrival we were booked in for 6th to 8th May, so not a great start. OK so it's early March and the weather is still extremely cold however, the hotel was freezing cold especially in the bar and restaurant area. The first evening I sat with my coat over my lap whilst eating our evening meal to keep warm. I wasn't the only person wearing their coat in the bar area. The room was OK, it looked more tired and worn than the online photo's but I guess that's not unusual. The room it's self was freezing cold, it had one radiator which did work and one old electric wall convection heater that chucked out cold air. We had a view of the cathedral which was stunning but if you want an early night or a lie in in the morning do not book a room with a cathedral view - the bells chime every 15 minutes from 7am to 11pm, I kid you not! But you do get used to it. The main light in our room had a cheap paper white lampshade on it that probably cost £1 from Wilkinson, I think they could have done a bit better than that. The toilet was also not clean on arrival, which is disgusting 😬 My husband went to have a shower and the water was freezing cold, which is unacceptable. The breakfast, well for £14 I wouldn't bother. It was a buffet breakfast, the hot food was cold and the fried eggs were like rubber. There was no choice of coffee and just a jug to help yourself from. Juice consisted of orange or apple and was not cold and left in a jug on the side at room temperature. There is room for lots of improvement where the breakfast is concerned and they would do better to cook fresh to order, which also prevents any waste. We were actually quite pleased to leave although Lincoln is a very pretty city and I would recommend visiting just don't stay at this hotel as it needs lots of improvement.

The fan however was about as much use as an asthmatic ant blowing through a straw, this didn't help on one of the hottest days of the year. That's where the good ends. When we checked in we were behind a couple who were a little older than ourselves and had a stellar service from the reception man. He asked if there was anything he could do, he asked if he could book them a table at the restaurant, and he asked if they needed a taxi anywhere, he was genuinely awesome and courteous. Our turn to check in arrives. We're a professional couple in our early 40's and our friends behind us are the same. As soon as we got to the desk the smiles faded and the friendly demeanour disappeared. He kept on informing us that he needed the card details of the card we booked with in case we 'trashed' the room. He mentioned this over and over again must have been close to 10 times and he kept saying that it was because he's had trouble with groups before and he wanted to be able to charge us for any damage! He also said it's because the price of the room (that we had pre-booked) may go up overnight, we'd never heard of this before and protested this quirk but he wasn't in the mood to chat about it. He never told us about the hotel. Never asked if we wanted a table at the restaurant. Never even asked if we were OK. Horrendous service. Come the morning, Leanne was on duty. She was a breath of fresh air. She was mortified at our treatment and promptly gave us all the information we needed to complain, she was kind, courteous and frankly everything that the chap the night before wasn't. Just because a group walks in, it does not mean we are trouble. We were pre-judged and made to feel lower than second class which for a group of medical professional friends enjoying a reunion was frankly appalling. ** UPDATE ** We highlighted all of our issues to the member of Leanne in the morning who said when we were able, to make a written complaint but that she would deal with it personally. Email sent to Damons head office for the complaint. The reply from Stuart Carey who is apparently a Director of the company is frankly appalling, dismissive and rude. He mentions that a complaint should be sent promptly and that complaints that aren't, are not taken seriously. We emailed 4 working days after our stay as we were on holiday and believed it was being handled by the lady we spoke to. His email goes as far to say that myself and my group are nothing short of liars and that because it was not dealt with at the time they aren't too bothered about it. Steer well clear of this place.

Room: small but sufficient. Bathroom door did not close proprerly so no privacy. Main door did not lock so not great security. Safety deposit box was not working - the batteries had clearly leaked and been removed but not replaced. You can have two cups of tea each but only one cup of cofee between you and one pack of biscuits between you. Bed was comfy though. Service: Got charged 10% service charge for two drinks. I had to wait quite a while to be served at the bar - was apolgised to twice -good to recognise. Then after paying I asked will they bring drinks to table - staff was not happy about this although they had just noted they had charged me for service. Then they came without ice in he drinks as requested - I am sure some will think I am being fussy - but what was the two pounds service charge for? Breakfast -arrived at 10:18 am. Got breakfast at 10:22 am. Yes they apolgised - but we've lost a good chunk of the morning and it was freezing in the dining room. It's rated AA 4 star - I am really not sure why, as to me, it is all about the finer details - severely lacking for a surprise treat with my daughter.

Wow wow and wow what an amazing place, our wedding was soooo good, I couldn’t fault one thing at all, from the meeting at the beginning with Jenna to the final day it was all totally seamless, the food was exceptional nothing was too much, all waiters/waitresses were sublime, a breakfast the next day was also amazing , this place is a diamond and totally worth a visit, so happy we get to start our life and have this place as a lovely place to keep coming back to for memories, thanks to all staff keep up the good work 🩷
