Mostly the staff were friendly and professional in their manner . The hotel has no restaurant or bar , the restaurant is not too much of a problem as Roberson shopping mall is next door , plenty of food thee , but the bar was , as we had to take a tricycle both ways to get a drink , we brought some takeaway alcohol back to the hotel , there is on the second floor an area to sit , so we thought we’d share a drink there before retiring for the night , but we were told in no uncertain terms that drinking was not allow except in our rooms which I thought was a bit rich , Over all the hotel was nice and comfortable nothing flash but the price matched the hotel , Worth a look when staying in Tacloban

Liked · A key central location with easy access to the entire town. The Hotel is quiet and maintains personal privacy very well. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the busy street. The room was reasonable in size, exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff were communicative and eager to help when asked to do so. The fresh water dispenser, hot showers, and air-conditioning were all very welcome! There seem to be intermittent difficulties with the Wifi signal though. Disliked · Besides the issues with the Wifi, the quality of the restaurant food could be improved. Portions were small, and quite often things which were displayed on the menu weren't available.

I recently stayed at the Summit Hotel Tacloban , and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a great location, close to mall. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds, large TVs, and plenty of amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I especially appreciated the fact that they were able to accommodate my request for a late check-out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Tacloban. The hotel is luxurious, comfortable, and convenient, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay, and I would definitely stay there again. Now, that I am leaving for Canada, I will definitely miss everything in this place. Thank you Summit Hotel!

WOW this place was not OK for us. Covid was over. Stayed in pricy hotels in Tacloban no need for paperwork about covid for months. This place was still on the covid glad we brought the paperwork. I rented this place by accident! Was looking for different Red Doors hotel. Staff ok, Place was nasty. The owners Worried about covid but rooms not truly cleaned in years. If you touched a wall in the room it was gross, and you had to go to bathroom and wash your hands. On the good side cheap if you lost power and this place had power the air conditioning and fan set up were GREAT. Pool children could have a blast till your power was back. Out in the middle of no place Tacloban but we did get rides to city.

The location is very convenient I always use this hotel every time I come to Ormoc, some how this time the service is not very good, no towel provided in the room. I called to give us towel and she give me only 1 piece as she said they still doing laundry 9 Pm at night. And they knows that it was booked for 2 person.

Zpad is my go to hotel everytime I stay in tacloban. I have been a frequent client for years now. Why I keep on coming back? 1. Convenient location - near to everything. Metro is just accross the street. 2. Clean 3. Feels like home.

They are great in everything, it was my daughter and my husband's first time in Tacloban City, and the hotel picked us up from the airport, I also want to thank their driver for driving me going to the bank before we check-in, When we check-in, there was a smell that the room did not use for a long time, although everything is clean, our bed size matrimonial bed but no breakfast, the restaurant has also limited food, the hotel has an also nearby laundry and many restaurants too. The housekeeping are great and kind people, they help me to find the tablet of my daughter that we thought was lost. They also make sure that our room is clean every day. They also have a great garden and a cute pond that has a lot of fish around. Wifi is fast but there is a small piece of paper that they will give you that you can use for 2 to 3 days and they change passwords. They will give you soap and shampoo for free, no bottled water for free, no fridge, and their tv is not clear to watch. There is also a blackout while we were check-in in, so better to prepare flashlights, once your room is closed you cannot see anything because it is really dark. I have flashlights on hand so it is still okay for me to stay there. Make sure that you stay there first before you pay, because it is non-refundable. When I arrive I thought that we will stay there for 8 straight days but due to work, need to be in different places, but they are still great because they refunded the days that I did not book. Overall it is good, just be aware of the environment in the area because it is dark outside of the hotel. Definitely, I'll stay here again. I want to upload some pictures but due to privacy I rather not.

I made a room reservation three months ago but couldn't use it then. However, the hotel kindly extended the booking until December 20, 2023, which was appreciated. We were pleased to finally utilize the reservation just a day ago. When I called to confirm the modified room reservation, I learned that our originally requested room was occupied. Consequently, we were offered a room on a floor undergoing renovation. While we understood the unavailability of our initial choice and appreciated the alternative, unexpected noises, resembling furniture being moved, persisted past the scheduled renovation hours. Initially, our dissatisfaction arose from key card issues, requiring two trips to reception for door access. Though promptly addressed by changing the door lock's battery, it raised concerns about the room's readiness before guest arrival. Upon entering the room, a faint scent reminiscent of damp fabric lingered, possibly from the carpet or beddings. This made us hesitant to use the beds, as we questioned the freshness of the linens. Furthermore, the provided 'IronwoodGuest' internet was inaccessible. Despite a single call, we were given 'ManagementPlus' internet access, but alas, no connection was established. Consequently, we had to rely on our mobile data for work, adding to our stress during what we hoped would be a relaxing stay. Additionally, the inability to use Netflix compounded our dissatisfaction. We wanted to at least enjoy the night with our mom, watching movies at least, but because we couldn't connect to their internet, we could not use it. We also tried connecting it to our mobile data, but it did not connect as well. We also discovered inappropriate content in the search history, which made us question the thoroughness of amenity checks and guest comfort. It would have been appreciated if such content in the history had been cleared to ensure the comfort of all guests. Considering the limited amenities offered, we had hoped for reliable internet access and functioning Netflix, as these are among the few amenities provided. While my call to confirm our arrival might have been sudden, I trust there was ample time for room readiness. My feedback aims to support improvements in the hospitality industry. Genuine hospitality enhancements not only benefit this establishment but also uplift the province's hospitality sector, attracting more visitors. Despite these issues, the hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the breakfast buffet and enjoyed the ambiance at Firegrass Tavern. As vegans, we opted for fruits, hoping for more inclusive options next time. Nonetheless, BUUTAN VEGAN CAFE nearby was a welcome alternative. Hoping for a smoother experience next time. Its a good place to stay becos is clean and paecefull place. Its located 500 meters to Ronbinson Mall and there are Mc Donalds and Jolibee very near even is not in downtown. The room is very clean and the workers are very kind with costumers.

Hotel itself is Good for its price. Been here a couple times but be careful not to encounter the newly instated Hotel Manager from “Manila” Very Rude Hotel Manager, very unprofessional, very arrogrant that He is from Manila and will look down on his clients as if the clients were inferior to him. Will belittle clients advice and treat clients as not knowing persons. Be well dressed because the hotel manager will judge on how you look and treat you on how he will perceive you, specially if you are dressed shabbily. better find another hotel if you have money

Not sure if other hotels have or do not have hot water for shower. GV Hotel does not, please note. Also the shower is spacious but no seperate cubicle. The whole floor gets wet as you shower, may be a common feature in the tropical cities. Nevertheless, the proximity to SM Mall is the best feature, you can get everything in the Hypermarket and most of the popular food outlets under one roof, just a 2 minute walk opposite the same street. If you want to try the BBQ style, please visit first floor with very reasonable price. see photo here showing the menu.

The room was small, compared to the original booking that I had reserved. They cannot find my booking reservations so they had to put me in 1 of the rooms available. I booked for a Deluxe Suite, and they said they can’t locate my booking. So they had to transfer me to a smaller room, which is quite a downgrade to what I had paid. No compensations provided. Anyway, the room was still fine, but cleanliness is not at its best. They didnt really do much effort to clear signs of previous visitor. See photo below. Overall experience, average.
