Definitivamente seguirá siendo nuestra opción para hospedarnos en Puebla. Nos da gusto llegar a este hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in late July/early August. Our base-level room was large, clean and well-appointed, which was of course good. The hotel location was convenient to get to all places where we needed to be. Wifi worked well and all interactions with staff were pleasant. We also booked a private transfer to Mexico City airport through the concierge, which went on smoothly and offered good value for money. However, the hotel had a number of stingy, cheap and hostile attitudes towards guests that really rubbed us the wrong way. For example: since we prepaid for our stay, we were not allowed to use the minibar (hotel staff even went to the room to lock it after we checked-in!). What is the connection between these things? I’ve never seen anything like that. Espresso capsules were also removed from the room after we checked in- and mind you, if they hadn’t been taken away from us, there would have been a MXN30 charge for each capsule. What a rip-off - even budget hotels have free coffee these days. And this is one of the most expensive hotels in Puebla. Adding insult to injury, nobody bothered to tell us beforehand that someone would go there to lock the minibar and remove the coffee capsules. To say we were surprised by these petty attitudes is an understatement. Breakfast was also very expensive (~USD25 per person) for what it offered. Another annoying thing: it was impossible to charge room-service and restaurant purchases to our room. We had to settle everything on the spot, which clearly shows management distrusts guests. We didn't feel welcome and won't come back.

Stunning property and the room was probably one of the most unique and beautiful rooms I've ever stayed in. We were in awe of our bathroom and level of detail in our room and throughout the property, super impressive. Our breakfast at the restaurant was just okay, the coffee was served lukewarm and the dishes we okay, not stellar especially given the price point. Staff was nice, however, my chief complaint is that they were less than flexible seemingly because we booked through Expedia. We were traveling with our two young children arriving off a red eye flight, I requested an early check and when they noticed I booked through a third party site, confirmed it twice and followed that by stating they would not be able to accommodate the request. The hotel was completely desolate, we sat in the un-airconditioned lobby for 3 hours until our tour was scheduled and literally saw two other guests the entire time. The dining room was completely empty as well so it was not a function of having a fully booked property the evening before. I guess my recommendation is to NOT book through a third party site should you have any special requests.

Rooms are small (the square footage does not meet the real size). We booked a balcony room, those are only available to the busy main street. Super loud, even at night. The balcony doors do not close properly, so it was like being on the street level with an open window! We moved from the 2nd to the 4th floor. Is was a bit better, still the door didn't close. PLUS - as this is a pet friendly hotel (which I really appreciate)- the next two rooms where with dogs who were left alone all day (approx from 7.30am-7pm). Means barking all the time when we were in the room, ....if one of the dogs stopped, the other started. Unacceptable! Not sure of the hotel staff talked to the owners. We will not come back here, that's for sure

The Hotel was Very Clean and Safe!! The location was one block away from INM where i had to go to get my permanent residency here in Mexico. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room didn't have A/C but they brought me a very nice Fan. If i ever need to go back to that area of Puebla i will be staying there again!!

We were hopeful about this hotel, sadly didn’t read these reviews prior before checking in because we were in a rush. The AM staff was nice, especially the bellboy, however the worker doing check-in upsold us for a room and didn’t share specific information about things like wifi, check out time, or the breakfast situation (mentioned a lot on these reviews). There is no breakfast included, and the pre payed breakfast is different than the giant lonely buffet that no one is eating. The hotel seemed empty of guests, but we were actually overcharged by about 100 pesos for the night. In USD not a lot, but shady seeming. When I brought to the attention of the night worker, he said it was “close enough”. I felt condescended to as a woman, and the entire interaction even with my partner was entirely rude and disrespectful. They don’t care about customers, and as other reviews said, probably get enough complaints that they don’t care. If you get a room that overlooks the pool, be aware that loud music is played until about 11:45pm and starts again around 8am. Housekeeping starts knocking early and keeps knocking. And we also had an exterminator knocking and spraying into rooms starting around 9am. Maybe someone is having a good experience here, it we wouldn’t know because it seems empty. The *********** price slash makes sense, but we were too nice and thought to better support the hotel and pay directly ( then overpaid by a lot). This hotel fully looks like a nice place that does not live up to its exterior at all. Do nit stay here, there are so many other places with people that actually care about guests having a good experience.

En general bien. Incluyendo que tengan opción de leche deslactosada en el buffet. La persona que estaba afuera únicamente me indicó dónde estaba la recepción -que se encontraba cerrada- pero con ambas manos ocupadas por las maletas, es complicado abrirla (pues es de perilla) y no te ayuden a abrirla a pesar de ver que tienes las manos ocupadas, lo consideré un punto menos a la hospitalidad. Sería bueno que hubiera una placa que explique lo que era el hotel previamente. Qué es esa chimenea y para qué se usaba, etc., así como tienen letreros de cómo se llama la fauna. Gracias.

PRO: It is a lovely building, barely two blocks from the center on a generally (but not always) quiet street. CON: It started with the form I was asked to sign at checkin. It was in Spanish, which I do not understand; but it described severe penalties (who knows, maybe torture and dismemberment?) if I were to steal so much as a towel. I've never seen such a form at another hotel. So they started out treating us as potential thieves. Next, I had booked their most expensive room (a 'presidential suite') but it turned out to be a dark inside room. We asked for, and got, a smaller room facing onto the street, with a couple of balconies. No refund was given (we had a prepaid rate). I had seen AC mentioned in other TA reviews. Our room had no AC or cross-ventilation. It isn't normally necessary in March in these altitudes, but this year was unusually hot. The included breakfast required turning in little slips of paper issued by the front desk. It was a mixed experience---the food was elegantly served on large plates in a lovely space, but it was strictly limited. The coupon explicitly warned that no pan dulce would be given (what do they cost, a few pesos each at the bakery?); and capuccinos were 40 pesos extra. Our request to fix the dual-mode flush (the button for #1 flushing worked, the button for #2 flushing did not) was ignored. However, front desk staff were friendly and helpful otherwise. So a mixed experience. Puebla is a lovely city but tourism is clearly not revived yet. Many restaurants were quite empty at lunchtime. This hotel was empty also, except on the weekend.

Very highly recommended, particularly for those weary travellers who would rather set up camp within a stone's throw of the bus terminal ... and close to a most delectable food market! There are a number of lifts servicing the hotel's five storeys, if one does not wish to unwind the winding staircases. Room-door and room-lighting are operated by means of a card-key, and the sober en-suite rooms come complete with a coffee-making machine, telephone for FREE calls, wi-fi, bottled water, coffee & sugar, bathroom amenity kit, all courtesy of the house. You will find Mr Paul at the reception desk, and Mr Eduardo, extremely pleasant, polite and accommodating gentlemen. You will not even have to take your luggage upstairs! Ask for a room overlooking the mighty Mt Popocatepetl, the city's smoking active volcano! Un magnifico lugar, y mas aun para aquellos viajeros que deseen estar a un paso de la terminal de autobuses, ... y a dos pasos de un mercado con la mas deliciosa cocina Mexicana! Este gran hotel cuenta con multiples salones en varios pisos, comodos, elegantes, espaciosos e inmaculadamente limpios, donde el huesped puede sent**** a leer en paz, charlar con amigos, escribir su diario de viaje, o simplemente relaj****. Tambien hay varios ascensores para ascender y descender los cinco pisos. Tanto la puerta de la habitacion como sus luces son accionados por tarjeta (en vez de llaves), y las sobrias habitaciones incluyen cafetero, telefono (las llamadas son gratuitas), agua embotellada, wi-fi, una bandejita de amenidades para el bano, cafe, azucar, todo cortesia de la casa. Varias habitaciones tienen vista directa sobre el humeante volcan Popocatepetl, icono de la ciudad! Rooms are small (the square footage does not meet the real size). We booked a balcony room, those are only available to the busy main street. Super loud, even at night. The balcony doors do not close properly, so it was like being on the street level with an open window! We moved from the 2nd to the 4th floor. Is was a bit better, still the door didn't close. PLUS - as this is a pet friendly hotel (which I really appreciate)- the next two rooms where with dogs who were left alone all day (approx from 7.30am-7pm). Means barking all the time when we were in the room, ....if one of the dogs stopped, the other started. Unacceptable! Not sure of the hotel staff talked to the owners. We will not come back here, that's for sure

Very highly recommended, particularly for those weary travellers who would rather set up camp within a stone's throw of the bus terminal ... and close to a most delectable food market! There are a number of lifts servicing the hotel's five storeys, if one does not wish to unwind the winding staircases. Room-door and room-lighting are operated by means of a card-key, and the sober en-suite rooms come complete with a coffee-making machine, telephone for FREE calls, wi-fi, bottled water, coffee & sugar, bathroom amenity kit, all courtesy of the house. You will find Mr Paul at the reception desk, and Mr Eduardo, extremely pleasant, polite and accommodating gentlemen. You will not even have to take your luggage upstairs! Ask for a room overlooking the mighty Mt Popocatepetl, the city's smoking active volcano! Un magnifico lugar, y mas aun para aquellos viajeros que deseen estar a un paso de la terminal de autobuses, ... y a dos pasos de un mercado con la mas deliciosa cocina Mexicana! Este gran hotel cuenta con multiples salones en varios pisos, comodos, elegantes, espaciosos e inmaculadamente limpios, donde el huesped puede sent**** a leer en paz, charlar con amigos, escribir su diario de viaje, o simplemente relaj****. Tambien hay varios ascensores para ascender y descender los cinco pisos. Tanto la puerta de la habitacion como sus luces son accionados por tarjeta (en vez de llaves), y las sobrias habitaciones incluyen cafetero, telefono (las llamadas son gratuitas), agua embotellada, wi-fi, una bandejita de amenidades para el bano, cafe, azucar, todo cortesia de la casa. Varias habitaciones tienen vista directa sobre el humeante volcan Popocatepetl, icono de la ciudad! Paul, encargado de la recepcion, y Eduardo, ambos de disposicion muy gentil y profesional, hacen de la estadia una muy grata experiencia.

Stunning property and the room was probably one of the most unique and beautiful rooms I've ever stayed in. We were in awe of our bathroom and level of detail in our room and throughout the property, super impressive. Our breakfast at the restaurant was just okay, the coffee was served lukewarm and the dishes we okay, not stellar especially given the price point. Staff was nice, however, my chief complaint is that they were less than flexible seemingly because we booked through Expedia. We were traveling with our two young children arriving off a red eye flight, I requested an early check and when they noticed I booked through a third party site, confirmed it twice and followed that by stating they would not be able to accommodate the request. The hotel was completely desolate, we sat in the un-airconditioned lobby for 3 hours until our tour was scheduled and literally saw two other guests the entire time. The dining room was completely empty as well so it was not a function of having a fully booked property the evening before. I guess my recommendation is to NOT book through a third party site should you have any special requests.
