PPengguna TetamuHad a great stay at Protobay. The service was amazing, the rooms were very clean, and the views were beautiful. The rooms are a little outdated, but the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Toiletries were Bulgari and slippers provided.

PPengguna TetamuWe really enjoyed our stay at Baia Azul. This hotel has everything! Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

PPengguna TetamuA traditional hotel approx half an hour walk to the Old Town but with steep hill so might not suit older person to walk.
Room was spacious with large balcony and had fabulous views of the sea and garden. Room cleaned daily, very comfortable bed & lovely hot shower.
Continental breakfast, had to eat inside as there were pigeons on the patio.
Joes bar on the premises & an English bar across the road. Got the airport bus, €6.50 each & got off at stop 10.
Would stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuThe staff is friendly, the room is a good size and everything was clean. The room has a mini fridge, slippers and robes. They also provide pool towels. There is a cleaning service everyday and they change all the towels, including the ones for the pool. The bed was not the best as it was quite hard and had a spring mattress. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the jacuzzi and sauna. We haven't tried the outdoor pool as we only spent time there in the evenings. The breakfast was good. I'd come back as it was a nice experience overall.

DDaniela888The rooms were nice and spacious with nice balconies on a great location. The rooms could use a renovation and be better cleaned especially in more hidden places like under the bed. The hairdryer overheated easily. The breakfast is good and varied and the staff is the best part of the hotel, super friendly!

В итоге, нашелся отель с очень просторными номерами, панорамным окном, кофе/чай, удобной ванной комнатой с биде, большим балконом. Единственные моменты: раздельная кровать для пары и слабоватый душ. Шум ночных волн на любителя:) Нам пришлось закрывать дверь на балкон, хотя и так было довольно шумно.
Сервис очень дружелюбный.
Завтрак вкусный и свежий. Много выпечки, напитки, нарезки и горячее.
Не ожидала, что будет бесплатный трансфер до центра и обратно. Абсолютный плюс этого отеля, потому что находится он не в шаговой доступности от центра.
Виды, чистота возле отеля, свой пляж - это потрясающе.
Далее мы проживали в частном секторе и много что посмотрели на острове, но первые две ночи в Orca Praia остались в нашем сердечке💘

PPengguna TetamuCleaned every day, good breakfast, great location (hotels part of Funchal, but also walkable to centre), lots of restaurants and shops around, bus stop right outside, pleasant and helpful staff, well maintained pool, pool towels provided.
Only con - old hairdryer, so it gets very hot and smells burnt. Also no iron.

PPengguna TetamuWe booked a triple room 3 beds last min with late bird price. However they gave us double room 2 beds. It's on the 1st floor just next to tennis court which is quite noisy. It's 31 degree F, no air conditioner. Only 1 tiny window can be opened for fresh air but its facing a foot path with many guests access to the indoor pool, gym...etc. Not enough privacy.
Location is ok as many small supermarkets, restaurants and bus stops near by within walking distance. Hotel facilities are good for the price.
