Hotel berhampiran Foot Locker, Berlin

... zum einen war das Restaurant oben im Turm nicht geöffnet, was beim Buchen aber nicht rüberkommt. Und dann wirkt das Hotel doch ein wenig abgerockt. Das Zimmer war gut, aber die Sitzgelegenheiten im Frühstücksbereich und unten in der Lobby hatten doch schon die besten Jahre hinter sich. Also: alles in allem ok, aber eben nicht perfekt.

Wonderful Place. Very very kind people. The SPA space Is very relaxing and the breakfast Is good. The Little treasure Is the bar inside: Manuel and Liza are very nice guys and give us very positive vibes! Fantastic experience!

We stayed there as prices were highly attractive at 83 euro a night, that was the main interest, seeing the hotel location, between Spanndau and West Berlin center (ku dam). The hotel is recently renovated, reception, main hall and the rooms are all pretty, new and modern. The corridors are clean but showing this is clearly a large business venue accommodating business travellers mainly (Siemens HQ Is in the same street). We were slightly upgraded thanks to my Diamond elite status, but it was a ”new” room kind off, not a suite or anything fancy, so they done the bare minimum on status recognition. The room wasn't necessarily very clean on day 1, there was sand on the chair and on the floor. The pool in the basement is nice, but rather small. There is a Scandinavian type sauna as well, and plenty towels can be found by the pool so you don't need to bring yours from the room. To be noted, on the external wall across the sauna, there is an original painting by Thierry Noir, a famous Berlin based street artist, well known for his worl on the East Side gallery back in 90's. Don't miss it ! I saw it by chance and instantly recognised his style, but the hotel isn't promoting its existence, pity. Breakfast was pretty good by all standards, plenty of choice on the buffet, to accommodate all possible diets, baked goods, cold meats, pancakes and fruit salad, real coffee of any kind you want. Plenty of free parking on the streets when we stayed, so we didn't have to use the hotel parking (25 € a day). The only con was the check-in experience on our 2nd stay, very dry, no smile, not friendly at all, by opposition to our first visit few days before. Good place, metro nearby, modern hotel. If you can accommodate with the commuting by metro, or come to berlin by car, its a good hotel

Waren über den letzten Mai Feiertag für drei Nächte dort. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen mit einem herzlichen Blick auf den See. Das Personal sehr freundlich, das ganze Hotel sehr sauber. Leider muß das Hotel wohl schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht haben, wir mussten schon beim Check in die übernachtungen bezahlen obwohl es in der Buchung anders steht. Schlecht fanden wir schon zum Anfang, das es nur eine Schlüssel Karte für das Zimmer gab. Nach dem wir unser Zimmer besichtigt haben ( was sehr schön und mit Balkon ist ( Balkon hat jedes Zimmer)) sind wir auf ein Getränk auf die Hotelterrasse gegangen ( sehr schöne Aussicht ). Ich lasse immer alle gerne aufs Zimmer schreiben, damit ich nicht immer das Portemonnaie bei haben muß, da war das nächste Problem, mit der Schlüssel Karte gab es einen kleinen pappumschlag mit Zimmernummer usw. denn muß man dann vorzeigen um sicher zu stellen das man dort Gast ist und die richtige Zimmer Nummer angibt, auch bei jeden Frühstück ( war mit gebucht ), seeehhhhrrr lästig. Hinter her sind wir in der Umgebung spazieren gegangen, eine sehr schöne Ecke für Wanderer. Abends dort gegessen, sehr Lecker und von der Aufmachung Mal was anderes, ich hatte Rinderroulade mit Kartoffeln und Rotkohl ( alles im Glas serviert, siehe Fotos ) dann wieder die Frage nach der Karte mit der Zimmernummer. Das Frühstück, naja, alles da was man braucht, aber nichts besonderes. Das Rührei schmeckte sehr künstlich ( es gibt bessere Rührei Pulver) der Speck war weder Cross noch saftig einfach nur trocken und Hart. Aufschnitt war im Kühlschrank, portionsweise, immer zwei Scheiben je Sorte auf einem Teller ( wenn ich aber nur eine Scheibe möchte oder drei? Wieder viel müll, und nichts fürs Auge) Brot und Brötchen waren teilweise nicht wirklich frisch. Aber der Kaffee aus der Maschine war sehr gut ( und dann jeden Morgen wieder die Frage nach der Zimmernummer ). Die Aschenbecher auf der Terrasse wurden auch nur selten gelehrt und gereinigt, immer nur zur Seite gestellt. Restaurant und Bar haben bis 22 Uhr geöffnet, setzt man sich um 21.40 Uhr nochmal nach draußen, kommt aber keiner mehr und frag ob man noch etwas trinken möchte. Haben es wohl nicht nötig. Die Betten sind Recht hart und das Kopfkissen ein ziemlich festes Schaumstoff Kissen, nicht sehr bequem. Nervig auch das Zimmertür schloss, beim Entriegeln piept es 5-6 Mal. Doof wenn einer schon schläft und der Partner später kommt. Die Bus Anbindung ist Recht gut, nur ein paar Meter weiter ist eine Haltestelle, rückfahrt aber nur bis ca 21.30. Uhr und dann bei Dunkelheit besser eine Taschenlampe dabei haben, der Weg zum Hotel ist nicht beleuchtet und mit Pflastersteine. Bayerfeier ist hier relativ, zwar gibt es Zimmer im Erdgeschoss und auch das Restaurant uns die Terrasse sind ohne Stufen, aber die Eingangstüren sind für jemanden im Rollstuhl oder mit Rollator nicht alleine zu öffnen ( man braucht eine Hand für die Karte, eine um den türknauf zu drehen und dann lässt sie sich noch Recht schwe

I chose this hotel as I was touring Berlin with a friend for a few days, but he was arriving a couple of days later than me. This proved to be a great option in terms of budget, distance from the city centre and proximity to public transport. Once you come up the steps from the U-Bahn at Siemenssdamm, it’s immediately to your right. The member of staff in the reception was warm and friendly and spoke very good English as my German is not very good after studying it a little at school 25 years ago. The room was large, very clean, and well-equipped. It was too warm for me, and turning the air con down didn’t help, but the window opens very wide. The bathroom also had a bath which was a bonus. The bed is firm which I really enjoyed, but I appreciate that won’t be to everyone’s liking. I’m sure I requested the room not to be serviced but the maid had been in every day. I didn’t use the TV but the Wi-Fi was a little patchy and slow at times. There is plenty of plug sockets including one near the bed. There was a soft light on the floor lamp and a desk lamp which was great. I had the buffet breakfast one morning, which had a great and varied selection of hot and cold food, this included cereals, bread, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, sausages, fresh juice, tea, and coffee. There is a supermarket across the road open till 10 pm, which was handy to get food for dinner. Yeah, it is quiet, and felt safe. I couldn’t hear any noise from any adjacent rooms. If I’m visiting Berlin in the future on my own, I will probably stay here again.

Hotellet ligger langt fra Berlin C. Du skal med u-bahn næsten helt ud til det olympiske stadion. Området er fint med hyggelige spisesteder og shopping i området. Den ene receptionist virkede næsten fornærmet over, at vi havde fået opholdet så billigt. En mand med et lille overskæg, var fornærmet men ellers var alt personale venligt. Der var et lille mini køleskab på værelset til deres minibar Poolen koster 6 euro pr person pr dag at benytte og den er meget lille. Morgenmad på hotellet var en fin buffet hvor der ikke manglede noget. Hyggelig betjening. Edeka og REWE ligger tæt på sammen med Rossmann. Og du kan spise godt i området på fastfood stedet, hvor en pizza koster ca 10 euro og en doner 8 euro
