Meo Design Suites & Spa

I had a wonderful experience in Sicily. The spa was pristine, the staff was attentive, and the treatments were incredibly relaxing. The ambiance was serene, and the facilities were top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a rejuvenating getaway.

A real hidden gem in the best part of town, fantastic modern rooms, great friendly staff and a very easy to book system. The staff members booked our restaurant which was fantastic and our taxi to the airport which arrived exactly on time. Would highly reccomend.

These rooms (not suites) are in an excellent location. 10/10 In the old building, they are all ( I think there are 6 or 7 rooms total) on the 3rd floor and luckily enough there is a private elevator especially made for the rooms. Breakfast is served in the room and they explain that it is "Italian breakfast" meaning that it consists of one tea or coffee and one croissant or a local sweet. Served in a very small tray with no extra plates or napkins quite difficult to enjoy. The rooms are as pictured in the photos on the hotel's site. Perfect mattresses, and excellent Wi-Fi. They have given great importance to design (of which they seem to be very proud of..) which is nice but according to my personal experience has quite a few "mistakes" which make one's stay a bit not so perfect..For example (in my room) on one side of the bed there was a big gap which was quite likely to fall in, especially at night. Also, the lighting was not enough.. Some rooms have no view at all, luckily I chose one with a view which of course was more expensive. !! The worst part is the entrance of the building which is simply ...awful and dirty . It is a sort of internal small yard as most of the old buildings in the historic center have, but this one was one of the worst. Garbage was all around and even the entrance to the private lift was in total decay. As a result, I do not find a good value-for-money relationship. P.S When I booked the room they gave me a non-refundable price which I accepted and paid since it was just a week before my arrival. 2 or 3 days later there was an explosion at the Etna volcano and the news was all around the media in my country so I thought I could postpone my trip for a couple of days. So I called them and asked, if I could change the dates to just a few days later always according to THEIR availability. They simply refused telling me that it was NOT refundable. I explained that I was NOT asking for a refund but a change of dates always according to the dates that suited THEM. But they did absolutely NOTHING not even trying to be polite. Of course not wanting to lose my money I went, but I found that not only unprofessional but also rude.!!

We had a fantastic time staying at this hotel. It is very central, located in City Centre, close enough to the historic landmarks, but off the main area and away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel was extremely spacious, was modern, clean and had great amenities - Salvatore Farragamo. Before we arrived, Giorgia had sent a WhatsApp message to call her when we arrived at the front. We called her and she was there in no time to assist with our luggage and check us in swiftly. Giorgia also assisted with our daily breakfast requests. One day we forgot to order breakfast, as we had spent the day in Taormina. I messaged Giorgia on WhatsApp and she promptly sent the menu, then took our order for the following morning. Breakfast in Italy is sweet in general and I could not get enough of the ricotta cannoli and fruit teas. The only downside is that downstairs is quite dirty and there was construction going on every morning that we stayed from 8am. Although downstairs is quite dirty, we felt safe in that Giorgia had texted us the codes to the lifts, so only the hotel guests were aware and we felt secure upstairs. Thank you Giorgia for also assisting us with booking the transfer to the bus station and helping us with our luggage upon our departure. We definitely want to come back to Catania in the future and stay at Meo Design Suites & Spa again!

We were very disappointed with our stay. First the pros: the location is good, just off the main street and Marilena the host was very responsive to our questions. Sadly the cons: - very small and dark room. There was no space for our suitcases, we had to put them on the floor and walk around them - there is lots of “atmosphere” lighting like light coming out from the top of the bed but there are no spot lights in the ceiling so the room is very dark. - whilst the room is dark there are lots of light switches everywhere that take about 3 attempts to get them to work - there’s a bright blue light where the electricity card goes and at night it means the room isn’t dark - things are just broken - tv had a crack in it, shower drain was cracked, toilet was leaking, curtains were hanging off the rail (see photos) - view was terrible. We had a view of some run down flats and they could see directly into the room so there was no privacy - not enough plug sockets, no where to hang towels (they had hooks inside the shower where the towels would get wet if you hung them there), mirror above sink is over 5ft 4 inches so if you are shorter than that you can’t use it and it’s the only useable mirror Please don’t be fooled by the photos. This hotel is not as it seems, they’ve gone for a stylish look without thinking about much else

Che dire grandi aspettative per questo posto visto il prezzo altissimo per una notte. Vediamo i vari punti della mia analisi facendo la premessa che avevo scelto Meo per fare delle foto, infatti arredamento di design vista incredibile e ottima luce. Le pecche però sono tante rispetto al prezzo, non è possibile far pagare una bottiglia d’acqua in un B&B di questo livello, almeno l’acqua si regala. La tanto decantata spa aveva dei sistemi di chiusura delle porte che facevano uscire il calore sia nel bagno turco che nella sauna, in particolare nel bagno turco c’erano dei fili che uscivano da una cassetta e la muffa sotto il sedile. La colazione ho compreso che non la potete portare presto ma trovate un alternativa per chi parte presto….. Chiedo venia ma questa recensione è correlata al prezzo, se fosse stato 100€ in meno niente da ridire ma a quel prezzo pretendo di più…

Struttura nel cuore del centro storico di Catania all'interno di un antico palazzo storico. Personale professionale e molto gentile, interni moderni e puliti. Stanza grande con bagno sopra la media. Molto silenzioso. Spa intima con sauna e bagno turco, no vasca idromassaggio. Unica pecca la vista su cortile interno.

Avevo bisogno di un posto in centro a Catania per ragioni di lavoro. Ho visto il Meo Design e me ne sono innamorata. Una volta in struttura ha addirittura superato le mie aspettative, il personale è incredibile. Io amo la Sicilia proprio per i suoi contrasti e questo posto li rappresenta benissimo. All’interno tutto moderno da farmi sentire una regina, fuori tutto storico e antico. Che magnifica vista!!! Ci tornerei altre 1000 volte.
