"The hotel is located in the heart of Lanzhou's Old Town promenade. It's ideal for experiencing the hustle and bustle, especially in the evenings when it's dark and the lights are aglow. We gladly accepted the free upgrade to a Family Suite offered at check-in. The spacious suite boasts all the necessary amenities, including a play tent for the kids. A well-equipped gym and an exceptionally varied breakfast (even the most fussy Westerners will find something to eat here) are available in the neighboring building."

"There is only one lift and the lift is very slow. In addition, they only provided one key card when we have two occupants which create unnecessary dependencies. The light point are also preset, for example the bath light will be connected to toilet, shower and washing basin which could be quite glaring in middle of the night. However, it is very close to malls and metro (the closest metro has no lift or escalator). There are also fence right in front of the hotel which means u need to walk a bit if u are taking taxi."

"We returned to hotel after Dun Huang and all the services were at usual high standards from cleanliness, wonderful reception staff and adequate breakfast . However, the air conditioning was turned off with central heating on which was uncomfortable — better to allow temperature controls at individual rooms."

"The hotel in not the Mercure hotel and is abusing the name in the English version of the posting in Trip.com. There is no sign on the hotel shovin the Mercure name which makes difficult to identify it, also because the entrance is definitely nothing like a Mercure hotel would show. A couple of block down the street there is a hotel with big Mercure sign. I can guess this one got in trouble and now nowhere shows the brand name apart than in the catchy post on Trip, and the reception denies that they are the Mercure. Apart of that the place is a chimney only suitable for heavy smokers and smoke preservation. I had to go through a number of rooms to get one where I could try to breath without choking. It is obvious that any smoke detection system is permanently disabled and therefore the place is at extremely high risk of fire. Apart of this the place is underpriced for a legitimate Mercure hotel, but largely overpriced for the nearly 2 stars place they are. Despite the troubles, the personnel did their best to maintain a good level of service and tried their best to accommodate, including offering free cancellation."

"We are a family of two adults and two young children travelling with my in laws staying at a room with loft and a twins deluxe for 6 consecutive nights (had to extend the stay for 2 nights due to unforeseen circumstances). In our opinion, this hotel definitely fits into the 5 star rating category though not sure why the rating is marked as only 3 stars on trip.com. All staff that we interacted with at concierge, reception, restaurant, housekeeping and lounge were eager to help, professional and friendly. Housekeeping recognised my in laws has mobility issue and protectively provided additional accessibility facilities for their room. The rooms are modernly designed, spacious and clean. The gym is well equipped and the swimming pool has been excellently maintained, with water temperature that's just perfect. There's also a fairly hidden kids playing area (not very big) which the kids enjoyed spending ages at. Breakfast choices are diverse with local, broader Chinese and typical Western options available. Signature LanZhou noodles soup is a must every morning. For travellers not intending to dine out at night, we highly recommend paying a little bit extra for a room with club access as the light dinner it provides with the room is well worth the money. Overall, we had a very positive experience at the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone. With that said, here are a few areas that we are not used to, which are common issues across hotels in China: 1. There is cigarette smell at various parts of the hotel. While this is not a constant issue, I personally have expected there's absolutely no such unpleasant smell at all throughout our entire stay (for a hotel that we deem to be 5 stars). In our mind, perhaps there can be better room allocation based on smoking and non smoking floors, and stricter enforcement of no smoking policy near common areas where there can be smoke drift. The reception area in particular is a hot spot for cigarette smell. 2. For visitors like us travelling from overseas, the rooms' air-conditioning setting are just too warm for us. As the heat setting was centrally controlled, we couldn't change it to a setting that kept the room to a temperature of low 20s. We ended up just completely switching them off and the hotel provided us with a separate cool air generating machine which helped to a degree. 3. For our initial booking of 4 nights, we were somewhat disappointed our loft room does not have the river view (noting that the room booking type for loft rooms made no distinction to river or city view, so we had assumed all rooms have river view). With all that said, we believe the first two issues are probably not unique to this hotel specifically in China, and the last issue can probably be resolved by making our expectation clear during booking, which makes this hotel still one of the best in the area."

"整體滿意的。性價比很不錯。 設施：進房間的一刻，看到超美景色😍有健身房，早餐吃飽可以去運動消耗一下，房間有加濕器，很貼心 衞生：非常乾淨，赤腳都很舒服 服務：前台小姐姐態度超好。給我送了早餐，因為是4人一個房間，要多了兩床被子也很快送來。早餐煮麪條的姐姐太能幹了。一個人做整個檔口，而且很細心，幹活麻利，贊贊贊！ 缺點:無煙房房間聞到煙味，難受。氛圍燈要全部燈關掉才能關，還在床頭頂。就很無語。對於長者來説燈光控制很吃力，晚上起夜不小心一按全部燈都亮了。另外，全家出遊。磨砂玻璃洗澡真的挺尷尬的，既然沖涼的區域是獨立的，為什麼不能做重一點的磨砂呢？同時滿足洗澡和上洗手間的需求會獲得更好好評。 我能感受到酒店是很重視客人的評價，寫這麼多是希望亞朵更進步，最後。謝謝招待，有機會會再次入住"
