My wife and I stayed 3 nights, arriving at 1PM from Carnarvon with a rental car. I used the lockbox to access my named letter with the key to our prepaid accommodation. Villa #9, entered through the patio’s sliding glass door, was clean, tilled and spacious with everything one could need including a fully outfitted kitchen(gas stove/oven & full sized refrigerator), a small bathroom with a stall shower/fan and a bedroom with a comfortable queen. Two small bars of soap and dishwashing liquid were provided. The older wall AC unit was not needed, the secure WIFI was average and the washing machine/laundry tub was nice. On the negative side; the only frying pan was very large and misshapen, the kitchen fan was too noisy to use, it was difficult to read with limited living room light and the TV had lots of channels but was small. The location is outstanding. Walking along the bayfront, its 1 block south to the IGA and 1 block north to the Discovery Center.
I read a lot of reviews. So we decided to stay here based on the promo and the 4 star rating. No way is this 4 star. We were in room 11 with a king bed and ocean view. The room was big and roomy. There was a king bed but it was oh so uncomfortable. The wifi was spasmodic. As for the door onto the tiny verandah you could hardly open it and it was a challenge to lock it too. There was no insect screen on the door so leaving it open for fresh air and no bugs was not an option. The balcony was real small. Parking was plentiful. The shelf in the bathroom fell off. The toilet had only 1 half flush function. The other side didn’t work. The shower was good though and there was a mini bar. We dined at the restaurant and wow was that different. We had 3 drinks each and they were the same but each time we were charged a different price - only found out about this when I checked my payment record. As for the food we had entrees of calamari- really nice and cheesy garlic bread - nice and tasty and lots of pieces. Our entrees had just arrived and our mains arrived 2 minutes later - sorry kitchen made a mistake we were told. Our mains were chicken Caesar salad. What a joke of a meal. In reality the mains were inedible. The biggest panko bread crumbed piece of chicken that had been cooked to death and was tasteless and we really needed a saw to cut it. There was 4 croutons and a smattering of cut lettuce. We found a small amount of Caesar dressing in a corner and this meal was also served with chips. We had paid for a cooked breakfast when we booked on line some time earlier but had to wait until 8am to get this as the chef didn’t start until 8am. We had poached eggs and bacon. Probably the best meal we had there. This place is old and really need some serious spending on it to make it 4 star.
The shark bay sea front apartments are located directly across the road from the shark Bay beach in Denham. I paid £290 for 3 nights. Close by is a supermarket, petrol station, bakery, and several pubs/ restaurants serving meals. Also within easy walking distance is the Shark Bay discovery centre (well worth a visit) the jetty for boating and the very narrow beach. The apartments themselves are large and spacious. Ours had a comfortable double bed in a room with air conditioning, a shower and wash basin and separate WC. The kitchen diner had a big table, two couches, a cooker with hob grill and oven, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, and a fridge freezer. There was also a big screen TV, reliable high speed Wi-Fi, and an adequate supply of crockery and cutlery. The apartment also had an iron, and ironing board together with a clothes horse for drying clothes. And a hair dryer! There was a laundry (available from 12:30 to 4:00 PM) which we used without any charges. Outside the apartment is a lovely area with trees and flowers and sun loungers, chairs and tables which makes a great place to relax at anytime of the day. So what is not to like about these lovely apartments? The place felt a bit like the Maris Celeste ship! There was nobody at reception - just a notice telling us that our room was unlocked and to help ourselves. The courtyard area, although lovely, was scruffy and had not been swept for at least a week. The steps leading up to the property were congested with **** and debris blown by the wind - again not cleared up. Our rooms were not serviced during our three day stay. The guest laundry although adequate was very untidy. I would have given this property a higher rating if it had been better cared for. But it was still a good place to stay

PPengguna TetamuExcellent lighted paved pathways from building to building, to the pools, the dolphin talk area and the the restaurants. Delightful warm welcoming staff from all over the world. The best meals we had in our month long Australia holiday. We loved our beach view room where I could see the dolphins passing by several times a day. Emus met us when we arrived at the resort and wandered around like gawky greeters. They fascinated us Canadians. Three regrets, we had only 2 nights here wish it had been longer, secondly that we couldn't booked the aboriginal evening experience which was sold out in advance during our stay. Thirdly, wish it was closer to Canada for regular return visits. Loved it. Especially the emus.
