"I initially booked for one night but I decided to stay for another night. Total two nights in the same room. Room is very clean, very quiet and the bed was superb, I slept very well. Staff super friendly and helpful. Hotel's location is about 10mins taxi from the old town centre but it is very convenient. If you don't like super crowded area with noisy street vendors and many tourists, I would recommend this place. I personally really enjoyed staying at this hotel, will definitely stay here again if I come back to Datong in future."

"Fantastic lodging. Best value I have had in dozens of stays. Clean, classy and large room with huge window to the main streets. Nice little hip cafe in the same hallway on the same floor. Nice bathroom, great bed. The location is also fine, even though it is a kilometer or so to the city walls. The naming Old town guesthouse isn’t much correct, but it doesn’t matter for the overall impression of this hotel."

It takes only 5 minutes by bicycle to reach landmarks like Huayan Temple, the Nine-Dragon Wall, and the Drum Tower. Wake up to the morning bells and evening drums, and when returning at night, look up to see the mottled lights of the ancient city wall. This is the perfect place to experience the elegance of the Northern Wei Dynasty and the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Designers have created an exquisite Song-style aesthetic space. Hydrangeas and roses in the courtyard fill the air with fragrance in the breeze. In the evening, gather around the stove to brew tea or enjoy the coolness and admire the moon.
Inspired by the "Four Elegances of the Song Dynasty," the space allows you to burn incense and make tea, while also providing modern washing facilities and professional freshly ground coffee.
