"the niu Mood hotel is a solid choice when spending some nights in Mainz - the property, common areas and bedroom are very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful and a bus station connection to the central station or city center is a 3 minutes walk away (although the location is not close to any supermarkets or restaurants nearby) However, it is worth a stay!"

"It is located close to Mainz Central Station, and there is a tram/bus stop right in front, so it was good for going to the Meba Arena to watch a soccer game. It is not too far to the city center, so it was good to walk. Since it is an eco-friendly hotel, the room cleaning is not done every day. I made a separate request to the hotel, and they said they would check and clean the room, so I made the request, and they did it well. Apart from the room cleaning, they provide more towels when you need them. I also stayed at the Intercity Hotel near Frankfurt Central Station, and the breakfast was better. There is no electric kettle in the room, but they will lend it to you if you ask the reception. I personally had two reservations, so I asked them to combine them, and they did it well. The only regret was that the room key malfunctioned in the middle and I could not enter the room. Overall, it was a good stay thanks to the friendly and kind staff."

Staff were extremely helpful and polite, and a member of staff was on hand at reception to check me in even though I arrived late in the evening. My room was huge and amazing value, and was set up for me beautifully. The location, while not central in Mainz, was reasonably well-connected to the city centre via public transport -- the bus stop was a ten-minute walk downhill from the hotel through very pretty neighbourhoods with regional charm."
