This rustic hotel is more like an apartment. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot, there was plenty of room and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. The host accommodated us with a late entry with no prior reservation. We were able to get a lovely two queen room and slept like babies. Highly recommend if you’re driving through. The host was thoughtful enough to turn on the heat before we arrived so the room was a comfortable temperature when we got here.

Clean facilities with great access to all of downtown. Beds were comfortable as were the pillows. Remodeled and provided a “log cabin” type feel. Front desk during check-in was great but we did check in right at 3:00p. No attended or staff on duty after a certain time. Bar and liquor store attached and they have breakfast and lunch. No dinner service yet. It is suggested that you open the window to cool the room down but there is a split air conditioner available if needed. The issue with my stay is that the split unit was not working properly and just having the window open was not cooling down the room(s) as suggested. Due to the temperature of the room and the inconvenience of the window being open (very loud outside) little sleep was had by my party who planned an early morning. Overall, it is a nice place but due to the temperature issues, I won’t be back due to lack of sleep.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. Our family gathers each year in Afton for the 4th of July holiday. It is a nice, simple clean hotel. It is the only chain hotel there in Afton. We have always enjoyed our stay. This year was a bit different. I couldn't believe the rate. Over $320 per night at a discounted AAA rate. For 3 nights we paid over $1000. This is Afton Wyoming! We are from Hawaii where one would expect to pay resort prices not in Afton Wyoming. At that rate one would expect far more than just your basic simple run of the mill 2/3 star hotel, We now get less but pay more. We usually take 3 to 4 rooms. The rest of our family went elsewhere not willing to pay their prices. This may be our last stay as well. We are booked for another weekend in September but will cancel. Not sitting well with this lifetime Platinum Marriott member.
