"This is a small, cozy, and unpretentious hotel. The rooms are clean, with soft, warm beds and plenty of pillows. The breakfast spread is compact and just right, not overly luxurious, but comes with delicious coffee and refreshing fruit juice. The reception staff are very helpful. The location is great, close to the square and tourist attractions, and feels safe. I do have a suggestion for improvement regarding housekeeping preparing the rooms. During my first stay before going up to Machu Picchu, the sugar for the drinks wasn't refilled. And during my second stay after coming down from Machu Picchu, there was a significant amount of feces left in the toilet, with a foul odor, as if housekeeping hadn't attended to it. This area needs to be checked, strictly monitored, and the good service quality maintained. I wouldn't want this small issue to negatively impact all the other positive aspects of the hotel. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel."

The exterior is soundproofed with double-glazed windows; you can hear music from the bars, but it's not too noisy—enough to sleep in. The window overlooks a small alley; if you want to take a taxi, you have to walk about 50 meters because cars can't drive in."

"I made two separate reservations at Tariq Boutique since my excursion to Manu Reserve would start and end in Cusco. There is always someone available at the front desk, and they helped me arrange airport transport for an additional charge. The transport was waiting for me when I exited and helped me unload my luggage to check in. I was able to do a delayed check in very early in the morning, and the staff even hauled my heavy luggage up to a second floor room for me, which was a huge relief after a long flight. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I appreciate the 24/7 availability of hot and cold drinking water as well as coca leaves and other teas and coffee in the dining area. The breakfast staff (especially Mercedes) are friendly, and the fruit and cold cuts spread was a nice way to pass the morning. Turn down service is lovely, the staff leaves chocolates on your mattress and tucks warm water bladders under the sheets. The staff was remarkable with storing my luggage for 6 days while I was on my excursion and had my luggage waiting for me in my new room when I returned. The transfer to the airport upon departure was early and prompt, which was very appreciated. Quiet, clean, and very hospitable stay! Only criticism is the hot water fluctuates quite a bit during showers, so you have to stay vigilant to sudden spikes or drops in temperature. Other than the hot water consistency (it never runs out, it just fluctuates in temp), this place is perfect!"

"Hotel Montecristo. The location is good. Just walking distance from the main plaza and with easy access to the main attractions. A short walk uphill and you are in the “acueducto” as well as a good spot for nice view and pictures of the city. There is a small grocery store and a pharmacy nearby. I was able to get any last minute items that I needed from there, like water, sunblock, insect repellent, etc. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast was light but ok. And the internet can definitely be better, but based on the location (Cuzco) you can’t ask for much. Right? The staff people were friendly and helpful when needed. My reservation indicated that breakfast was included, but when I got there, I was surprised by an additional fee of 20 soles per day per person. This was quite frustrating. Also, we faced issues with room facilities. In the first, the shower had constant temperature issues, swinging between hot and cold, making bathing an uncomfortable experience. In the second room, we were informed that we would only be able to use the jacuzzi once a day. This restriction was not mentioned during the reservation and severely limited my relaxation experience during the stay. Employees began sweeping the stairs at 7 a.m., resulting in an unwanted wake-up due to noise. Additionally, the presence of transparent parts at the top of the room doors and windows allowed external light from the hallways to illuminate my room, affecting proper rest."

The hotel breakfast started at 3 am and was very plentiful, including Peruvian fried rice, a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine. The Peruvian shuttle bus was a 4-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The hotel security guards gave very clear directions. Also, the shower water pressure was excellent, which was very comfortable, and I got a great rest."
