PPengguna TetamuThe most remarkable and important thing to stay at LR Guest House was the staff Including Antonio and Diego. They were excellent in many ways including serving us good breakfast everyday and it was really delicious. The room was clean all the time and gave us great room service as well. I specially like to thank to Antonio and Diego who help me to make reservation of Fado restaurant in Lisbon so that we could enjoy Portuguese traditional Fado music at the final day of our stay. And also Diego help me to have a private tour to look around Cascais and Cabo Da Roca which was wonderful as well. I have stayed 4 nights from 20th of Sep to 24th of Sep 2023. I definitely like to comeback again to stay at LR Guest House with my children in the future.

EEmilyI just returned from a wonderful vacation at Solar Dos Poetas, and I can’t say enough good things about my stay! The location is absolutely amazing, nestled in a picturesque area that made exploring the sights a breeze. Everything I wanted to see in the city was either within walking distance or just a short trip away.
One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness. The team went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their local recommendations were spot on and really enhanced my experience.
Breakfast was another fantastic part of my visit! Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious spread that included fresh pastries, fruits, and a variety of options that catered to different tastes. It was the perfect start to my day and gave me the energy I needed for my adventures.
Overall, Solar Dos Poetas exceeded all my expectations. With its exceptional location, outstanding customer service, and delightful breakfast, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again! Highly recommended!

My husband and I have just come back from three nights staying at this quirky hotel in a perfect location in Lisbon...we were allocated room 513...the room has a slim balcony with two sets of patio doors...there was plenty of space...a comfortable, large bed, good sized shower room and a nice relaxing area with a sofa, two chairs and a desk...the hotel as a whole has extra high ceiling and a lovely relaxed vibe... It has been sympathetically restored to enhance the features of yesteryear...breakfast has everything that you need with staff on hand if you require something like an omelette freshly cooking...the hotel is spotlessly clean with efficient cleaning staff...what made this boutique hotel special for me was that all the staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and nothing seems too much trouble.

PParadise44245346789Excellent value for money: wonderful staff very helpful, good location near metro station Arroios which takes you within 5 min to the center. WIFI OK, bathroom very convenient, quiet at night ... There are 2 supermarkets near the hotel, a coffee shop with Portuguese specialties and opposite to the hotel, an excellent Portuguese cuisine restaurant called Portugal. Around 7 minutes far by food, there is an amazing small Italian restaurant called El Giardenitto, tasty to the max... try the Risotto.

Had a lovely stay overall. The check in and out was fairly smooth. The room itself was sufficient, was nice to have a little balcony. We stayed at the top of the building so a lot of steep steps to climb and no lift. The breakfast was lovely and is left outside your room at an agreed time, it was a small extra fee but including orange juice, yogurt, bread, meat/cheese a pastry and fruit. Location was decent, not too far away from the centre and close to a tram stop. My only issue was the in the morning the bathroom smelt like garlic, not the most pleasant of smells when getting ready for the day.

BEWARE: rats, incompetence and insecurity Let me start by saying: I have been to many hotels, campsites, hostels, etc. throughout Europe, but what happened goes beyond all limits of hygiene, personal safety and common sense. When we returned to the room at 11.30pm we noticed the presence of a RAT. We mentioned this to the staff at reception and they told us that he was doing NOTHING and that he was going home. He contacted his manager who told us to go to another facility. By now it was 00:00 on a Saturday in August, the hotels were either full or the check-ins were closed therefore he literally left us in the middle of the ROAD without worrying about our SAFETY and not answering the telephone provided on Booking. The area is quite SAD, plus the entrance door must always be left open with people of dubious recommendation passing through. Plus the hygiene is overall poor, there is a strong smell coming from the stairs and after what happened they made this the WORST experience of MY LIFE in an accommodation facility. ATTENZIONE: topi, incompetenza e insicurezza Premetto: sono stato in moltissimi hotel, campeggi, ostelli, ecc di tutta Europa, ma quanto successo va oltre ogni limite di igene, sicurezza personale e buonsenso. Rientrati nella stanza alle 23:30 ci accorgiamo della presenza di un RATTO. Lo abbiamo fatto presente al personale in reception e ci ha detto che lui non faceva NIENTE e che se ne sarebbe andato a casa. Ha contattao il suo responsabile che ci ha detto di andarcene in un'altra struttura. Ormai era 00:00 di un sabato di Agosto, gli hotel o erano pieni o i check-in chiusi pertanto ci ha letteralmente lasciato in mezzo alla STRADA senza preoccuparci della nostra SICUREZZA e non rispondendo al telefono fornito su Booking. La zona è abbastanza MALFAMATA, in piu il portone di ingresso va lasciato sempre aperto con passaggio di persone di dubbia raccomandazione. In più l'igene è complessivamente scarsa, c'è forte odore proveniente dalle scale e dopo quanto successo hanno reso questa l'esperienza PEGGIORE DELLA MIA VITA in una struttura ricettiva.

PPengguna TetamuVery bad check-in experience: the receptionist opened the door only after my mobile call (despite I was standing right in front of the door and ringing the door bell for 5 minutes before), during working hours. So no way to enter the property if your battery is low / no network / no wifi.
The amenities were very basic. My room was at the floor with no kitchen and only 1 bathroom in operation, critically not enough for the number of rooms. The street is very loud at night.
In the kitchen guests are not allowed to use the table (!).
Location is great, cleanliness.
