PPengguna TetamuThis was the perfect start to our first trip to China — the hotel was right beside erhai lake and the views from the hotel cafe and the rooms were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and facilities modern and good (particularly the hotel cafe which serves coffee (each guest can redeem 1x coffee and unlimited cornetto ice creams and snacks from the cafe). It is also a ~6 minute walk away from a family-run bicycle shop where tourists can rent a bike from (20 元 for a full day) (there are rent-as-you-go bikes along the area too but they require a Chinese ID card in order for you to book).
The service was also excellent and all the staff were very attentive. Each time we returned to the hotel, the staff would greet us with an option to get a bowl of rice noodles (mi xian 米线） or chinese dessert, depending on what time we arrived. There were also free flow fruits (some small apple-like fruit and cherry tomatoes) in the hotel lobby that was stocked through the day.
Fantastic stay. We will definitely return if we come back to the area. (We had entered another hotel further down the same stretch for a coffee and that other hotel’s coffee and cleanliness paled in comparison; made us very thankful that we had booked this hotel instead). 10/10!

PPengguna TetamuThe host is very kind and always willing to help. She herself made breakfast for us everyday. She also adjusted to our timings when we needed her to. The rooms are as advertised. However, we were slightly surprised to see that the room we had booked was quite compact. It was fine for us, but to might want to check the area before booking for two people.
Another point of attention, everything in the bathroom worked perfectly fine, but the lack of intimacy (practically see-through glass walls coupled with a thin netting) could be an issue for some people. This is, of course, left to individual preference.

PPengguna TetamuWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn. The location is in the heart of Dali Old City.
The owner provided excellent service and was warm, friendly, and attentive. We were already in the ancient town when we booked the hotel and got dropped off in the wrong location so she personally walked over to find us. She also offered to drop us off at the train station stove we didn't utilize the free pick up.
The room is exactly as seen in the picture and was very large, clean and comfortable to stay in. The large windows in the rooms offered fresh mountain air, there was air conditioning/heating for those who preferred other temperature options as electric blankets in case it was too cold.
The view from the terrace upstairs is gorgeous. And the second floor has this adorable swinging lounge chair.
The breakfast was hearty, abundant, nutritious, and delicious. The inn also provided free bottled water and she reminded me not to buy water when she noticed that I did.
The owner was genuinely caring and attentive and made us feel right at home. She really goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable.
I would definitely come back to stay at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn the next time I visit Dali and recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Dali ancient city.

KKatherineliewtanWe stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

PPengguna TetamuReally pretty hotel overall with very cute cats as a bonus. Staff were all really really nice, saying hi and smiling every time we walked through the main lobby. We arrived at the hotel way before check-in time and instead of having us wait, they offered us a free upgrade as the room we originally booked was not ready. There were no obligations for them to do that since we were the ones who arrived early so that was very nice. They would also take our breakfast order the evening before and prepare our breakfast accordingly, with an option of having it in our rooms or downstairs. There would also be dessert sent to our room each night as long as we were in the room. Staff were so nice they sent us all the way to our cars the morning we checked out. The room was also very very spacious with a nice view of the ancient town. You could also see stars at night. Laundry and all other basic amenities were also readily available. Would highly recommend this place to other travellers for the location, service, amenities.

A minor note for future guests: the final access lane is a bit narrow, so some Didi drivers may drop you at the entrance—it's just a short, easy 2 minutes walk from there. This small detail is far outweighed by the exceptionally attentive service. The hotel provides complimentary nighttime warm milk (8-10 PM) and a lovely take homegift of local flower biscuits. To top it all off, they kindly upgraded my room for free. A wonderful stay thanks to a team that goes above and beyond.

MMMC LSaya berbesar hati menginap di Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn (Dali Ancient City South Gate), dan ia merupakan pengalaman yang luar biasa dari awal hingga akhir. Lokasi rumah penginapan ini sangat ideal—hanya dalam jarak 5 minit berjalan kaki dari South Gate of Dali Ancient City, menjadikannya sangat mudah untuk menerokai jalan pejalan kaki yang sibuk dan tarikan tempatan. Walaupun begitu dekat dengan pusat bandar, rumah penginapan ini menawarkan tempat percutian yang damai dan tenang.
Bilik-bilik adalah moden, bersih dan direka dengan teliti. Saya amat menghargai ciri pintar seperti tandas automatik yang dipanaskan, langsir gelap dan lampu malam penderia. Tekanan air di bilik mandi adalah hebat, dan sentiasa terdapat banyak air panas, suhu adalah tepat yang menambah keselesaan selepas seharian bersiar-siar.
Apa yang benar-benar menjadikan penginapan ini luar biasa adalah layanan tuan rumah dan kakitangan. Mereka pergi lebih jauh untuk memastikan perjalanan saya tidak dapat dilupakan, menawarkan petua berharga tentang tarikan tempatan, pilihan tempat makan, dan juga membantu dengan pengaturan pengangkutan. Sikap mesra dan mesra mereka membuatkan saya berasa seperti di rumah sendiri. Saya tidak akan melupakan petang santai yang dihabiskan berbual dengan hos sambil menikmati secawan teh Cina.
Rumah penginapan ini juga berdekatan dengan pasar sayur-sayuran yang menawan dan jalan yang dipenuhi dengan pilihan makanan tempatan yang lazat, yang menjadikan makan di luar dan mengambil hasil segar sangat mudah.
Secara keseluruhan, Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn ialah gabungan sempurna antara kemudahan, keselesaan dan perkhidmatan yang cemerlang daripada hos Xiao Liang.

PPengguna TetamuWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
