We had a wonderful experience at Jiuzhai Yunshang. As experienced travelers, two important criteria for our choice of hotels are the view from our room and the service. This place exceeds our expectation on both counts. Our room has a panoramic view of the mountain, and a delicate Japanese maple swaying in the breeze in our courtyard. The decor of the room is tasteful, and in harmony with the surroundings. There are actually many Japanese maples on the premises, in different shades of red and green, adding a unique flavor to the majestic mountain backdrop. The service is attentive and all our needs were often anticipated. We could not handle spicy food, and great care was taken to provide us with non spicy options. The dining area is peaceful and the presentation always simple and elegant. We especially appreciated the prompt transportation provided for us to various activities, always done with efficiency and a ready smile.There were many small details of thoughtful service, too numerous to recount here. This place is serene, and an oasis of calm. We spent time at the National Park, rode horses on the beautiful plateau, and for two afternoons simply sat in our room or patio, reading and enjoying the view. I even had an epiphany moment while contemplating the grandeur of the mountains. What makes this place a magical stay for us was Lung Lung and Luna. Thank you Lung Lung and Luna! Your gentle spirit and the wholehearted giving of yourselves truly blessed us. May double blessings be returned to you, in all your travels and at home. Till we meet again!

Dua hari saya menginap di sini dengan santai, tanpa terburu-buru mengikuti jadual, dan ini membolehkan saya benar-benar menikmati keselesaan dan ketenangan tempat ini. Lokasi penginapan yang indah ini sangat strategik, betul-betul di seberang Resort Huamei Shengdi, hanya dengan berjalan kaki. Huamei Shengdi juga merupakan salah satu perhentian bas, manakala pasar raya berdekatan, Jeneral Supermarket, adalah tempat menaiki bas, menjadikannya sangat mudah untuk pengembara bebas. Excellent service at Hilton Resorts (Jiu Zhai Gou). Before we arrived, we were actually stucked due to a previous didi vehicle with flat tyre midway, which caused much anxiety whether we could view the nice view at the hotel. Unfortunately we missed the view at the hotel as it got dark. When we arrived, the place really nice and clean. We were greeted by staff Anna at the frontdesk who very clearly explained to us on the check in details, and when the sun would rise the next day. As we were going to Jiuzhaigou, she also very nicely helped us to arrange a driver for the next day, and explained that the luggage will be carried by the same driver. On the buffet, we also received 2 for 2 discount for the next breakfast given we had some uncertainty on whether all of us will be having breakfast. For dinner, she also recommended the hotel restaurant and what to order, giving us a member discount as well. Along the way, she very helpfully gave us updates and check in on us. We are very grateful to have Anna to support us in our stay, which made it bery pleasant! ☺️ The room also has really nice view and is clean, so highly recommend to pick one that has the pond view. Breakfast also has a good spread!

I am not the type of person who usually leaves a review unless I am really impressed. Also, my mom, who traveled and stayed with me at this hotel, told me to give this place a good review and a 5-star rating because of the great experience we had. Even before we arrived, I contacted the hotel to make sure which type of room would fit all of us, and to ask about the weather and what clothes and items we should prepare. We also asked them to make sure that the taxi driver who picked us up from the station was safe and had a work permit. All of our messages were replied to within seconds or minutes. During our stay, they provided a lot of free mineral water bottles, which was very important for us, so we never ran out of water. They also provided very good and complete amenities. On the first night, the floor heater in our room was not working, so they gave us an additional large heater, which made the room very warm and comfortable. They also provided drop off and pick up service to the Jiuzhaigou entrance, which really helped us, so we didn’t need to walk about 800 meters to 1 km in below-zero temperatures. They even helped us book a taxi when we were going back to the station. Although they missed our request for a bigger car (since there were four of us with big luggage), I understand that it was difficult to find that kind of car at that time. The driver who took us — I’m not sure, who he is, but I think he is the boss (since the staff, asked lots of questions to him)— could speak English quite well and understood us even though we spoke broken Chinese. They also gave us a late check out at 3pm Overall, it was a very pleasant experience staying here. They treated us not just as guests or customers, but really cared about making sure we had the best experience while visiting Jiuzhaigou. The only downside of this hotel is that the bathroom is a bit small and there are no hooks to hang towels or clothes. However, this was not a big issue for us at all. I highly recommend everyone to book this hotel.

Beautiful hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was quiet and had a great view of the mountain. We were able to buggy to the nearby hilton restaurants and were welcomed by a friendly staff member. It will be my go-to hotel when visiting Jiuzhaigou.

As a newly established boutique homestay-style hotel, it is clear that the management is making a sincere effort to provide good service. The hotel’s renovation and room interiors are modern, clean, and well-maintained. However, there are several significant issues that would make me hesitant to recommend this property to other travelers. 1. Severe Smoke Issue from Adjacent Residential Property There is a local residential house located immediately next to the hotel. Throughout the day, the residents appear to be cooking or boiling large pots of water and soup using wood-fired stoves (柴火). Unfortunately, this activity takes place directly below our room window. As a result, not only is there effectively no view from the room, but we were also forced to keep the windows completely closed at all times to prevent heavy smoke from entering. The situation was further aggravated by the fact that the hotel did not operate the central air-conditioning system, presumably because the outdoor temperature was relatively cool. Consequently, fresh air circulation in the room was limited. Jiuzhaigou is renowned for its clean mountain air, yet whenever we were in the room, we could smell and breathe in wood smoke, which significantly affected our comfort and overall experience. 2. Smoking Permitted in Public Areas Guests were allowed to smoke in the Level 1 public areas, including parts of the dining area. While I understand that this may still be relatively common in some parts of China, it created an uncomfortable environment, especially for families traveling with young children. A smoke-free dining and common area would greatly improve the guest experience. 3. Room Cleanliness Concerns Compared with the issues above, this may seem relatively minor. However, when we checked into the room at approximately 10:00 p.m., the trash bin had not been emptied, and there were flies and small insects present in the room. 作为一家新开业的精品民宿酒店，可以看出酒店团队确实在努力提供良好的服务。酒店整体装修设计新颖，房间也较为整洁干净，硬件条件令人满意。然而，在入住期间遇到的几个较为严重的问题，让我难以向其他旅客推荐这家酒店。 1. 隔壁居民长期烧柴导致严重烟雾问题 酒店紧邻当地居民住宅，而该住户似乎全天都在使用柴火（木材）烧水、煮汤或做饭。更不巧的是，他们的柴火灶位置正好位于我们房间窗户下方。 因此，房间不仅几乎没有景观可言，我们还必须全天候紧闭窗户，以避免大量烟雾进入房间。更令人遗憾的是，由于当地天气较凉爽，酒店并未开启中央空调系统，导致房间缺乏有效的空气循环。九寨沟以优质空气和自然环境闻名，但在房间内却经常闻到浓重的柴火烟味，严重影响入住体验和舒适度。 2. 公共区域允许吸烟 酒店一楼公共区域，包括部分用餐区域，允许客人吸烟。虽然我理解这在部分地区仍较为常见，但对于携带儿童出行的家庭而言，这样的环境并不友好。 3. 客房清洁细节有待加强 相较于前两项问题，这一点或许显得较为次要。但当我们晚上约10点办理入住时，房间内的垃圾桶并未清理干净，同时还有苍蝇及小虫出现。虽然并非严重的问题，但仍反映出客房清洁管理方面存在提升空间。

A very peaceful stay with a beautiful view. Breakfast is included, which is a nice bonus. After check-in, the staff will drive you to your room by car since it’s a bit far from the main reception. If you need transport or a personal driver to travel around, you can also request it from the hotel before heading to Jiuzhaigou — they will provide a trusted contact so you’ll feel more secure. Overall, everything was good and perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

I chose the suite for the hot tub area, the hot water is not even very hot. I only use the hot water knob and not the cold water. Additionally there was a small cockroach in the tub area before we use it…managed to kill and throw it away. The problem with the room is the lack of chairs and utensils. Got wine glass and stuff at their “bar “ area but no opener for beer, had to head down to get from kitchen.

The highlight of our stay was definitely the comfortable bed—the linen was incredibly soft. However, we did experience a few issues. The biggest concern was the heater/air-conditioner in the room, which didn’t seem to work properly. The room felt very boiling, and even after setting it to “cool,” it didn’t get any better and made weird noises, which made it uncomfortable through the night. We were also given a twin bed setup, considering we are couple purposes in our booking. It would have been nice if this had been confirmed with us in advance through the app. Additionally, the listing on Trip.com advertised hot spring amenities available all year round. However, upon arrival, we were informed that access depends on specific room types or that the public area was closed due to the cold season. This felt a bit misleading. On a positive note, breakfast and tea/coffee were provided in the lobby, which we appreciated.
